the potential of distributed generation to deliver cost-effective, ecologically sustainable, rising, and more reliable solutions has resulted in an increase in its use for electricity generation globally. DGs and capacitors are chosen over centralized power generation to bring electricity demand closer to load centres. the proper positioning and capability of DG is vital in solving common power system concerns such as power network loss reduction, stability, and voltage profile enhancement. An Analytical method is used in this paper to determine optimal size and site for placement of DG units. Type-I and type-II DGs are integrated in the system to achieve the objective. Analytical method is tested on ieee 69-bus system at varying penetration levels (30–70%). the results are compared to those obtained by other latest approaches and found superior. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

there are significant changes occurring both in the electricity system and the natural gas system. these two energy carries can be combined to form what is known as an energy hub. these energy hubs can play a significant role in the energy system and thus understanding of their optimization, especially their costs, is important. this paper proposes a risk management framework for an energy-hub through the utilization of the information-gap decision theory (IGDT). the uncertainties introduced from the various load profiles, such as the electric and heating loads, are considered in this risk management framework. the modeled energy-hub consists of several distributed generation systems such as a microcombined heat and power (mu CHP), electric heat pump (EHP), electric heater (EH), absorption chiller (AC) and an energy storage system (ESS). A demand response (DR) program is also considered to shift a percentage of electric load away from the peak period to minimize the operational cost of the hub. A feasible test system is also applied to demonstrate the proposed model's effectiveness.

Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) are systems of wirelessly communicating, geographically scattered sensor nodes that collect, process, and transmit data. Examples of applications for these networks are smart cities, industrial automation, healthcare, military, and environmental monitoring. Several research studies have been conducted on securing WSNs against false injection attacks, anomaly detection, and optimizing routing protocols. If a legitimate packet is accidentally discarded, vital information can be lost, and applications that rely on data accuracy can be compromised. To resolve the issue, this paper proposes an integrated security framework that combines Support Vector Machines (SVMs) for anomaly detection and Optimal LinkState Routing (OLSR) to achieve secure and efficient routing to avoid false injection in the WSN environment. Before detecting the anomaly, a Fuzzy clustering method is used to create the cluster and also select the appropriate cluster. After selecting the suitable cluster, the SVM model is trained to detect spuriously injected packets and anomaly nodes. Simultaneously, OLSR ensures secure and energy-efficient routing through cryptographic authentication and trusted path selection. the proposed model outcomes demonstrate that the suggested method accomplishes a Packet Delivery Rate (PDR) of 92% and an accuracy of 95% in detecting false injection attempts. In addition, energy consumption is reduced by 14% compared to traditional routing methods, significantly extending the network lifetime. the results show that integrating SVM and OLSR can effectively suppress false packet injection and improve WSN performance.

In recent years, the demand for classification and monitoring of human activities has increased, and to satisfy such demand, this research work has come up with a system called human activity recognition using body sensor networks, this system recognizes the human activities with the body sensor networks and display the data on web application, it also maintains the data accuracy. Human activity recognition basically means recognition of the human actions on the basis of series of observations. It provides valuable information on well-being of humans, beside from that it also can keep track of human activities. Body sensor network here refers to the sensors attached to the body of the user in order to collect data which could be observed to recognize the activity. the data used to track and classify human activities is retrieved from sensors and are shown on web page with the help of cloud sever, different algorithms are studies and their comparison on the basis of accuracy and precision are also included. © 2021 ieee.

Human activity recognition using inertial sensors has gained significant popularity and widespread adoption in various fields, while deep learning has emerged as the dominant approach, playing a pivotal role in enhancing performance. Nevertheless, existing algorithms often neglect the heterogeneity of sensors and fail to effectively extract contextual features from long-term time series data, resulting in low accuracy in activity recognition, especially for complex activities. this paper proposes a novel method called FUsion Transformer hUman activity REcognition(FUTURE). FUTURE exploits the feature fusion mechanism and designs a multi-scaled DenseNet to extract the spatial features so that the relationship between heterogeneous sensors can be captured. Furthermore, a customized multi-head attention model with less computational complexity is employed in FUTURE to capture global dependencies within the sensor data. Experimental results on multiple datasets validate that FUTURE achieves an average recognition accuracy of 95% for complex activities and the evaluation against the state-of-the-art demonstrates the superior performance of the FUTURE model in accurately classifying complex activities.

Massively deployed IoT devices require a lightweight design to reduce costs. However, this architecture inherently limits their security, increasing the risk of data breaches and tampering on a large scale. In this paper, we propose CGAD, a model that leverages one-dimensional convolution (Conv1D), gated recurrent units (GRU), and the attention mechanism to analyze multi-sensor time series data at the data gateway from sensing terminals. To achieve this, we generate time series predictions and detect anomalies by comparing predicted values with real data using a threshold-based approach, thereby enhancing data security. To address the labeling problem of massive data, we employ unsupervised learning and design a dynamic sliding window threshold to improve the judgment of time series with varying characteristics. We also used a number of datasets, such as the KW51 railroad bridge dataset and the self-picked temperature and humidity dataset, to evaluate our system. the results demonstrate that our CGAD model achieves recall rates of 98% and 99% for anomaly detection on the two datasets, respectively. Additionally, the precision and F1 scores surpass other methods, ensuring cost-effectiveness for massive terminals and addressing the security issues of sensitive data. these advantages contribute to realizing the Internet of Everything. © 2025 ieee.

the introduction of conditional monitoring devices for pipelines has made it possible for computational and physical electronic components to work together to create the Internet of things, Data, and Services. In the crudest oil-producing country, there is always a problem associated with broken pipelines, which causes environmental pollution, which leads to the shortage of the production process and the risk to so many lives in the community. Due to these challenges the crude and gas manufacturers face, many studies on monitoring pipelines exist. therefore, this study reviews the effects of condition monitoring of gas and crude oil pipelines for sustainable management of production lines using variable sensors. the review process extracted quality articles on applications from reputable journals and conferences. the review also cut across the study of the distributor sensor, Piezo, wireless sensor, corrosion sensor, and a summary analysis to see the significant effects of the various sensors in developing the conditioning monitoring system. Based on the challenges discovered in this study, possible suggestions and recommendations were given to achieve sustainability in transporting gas and crude oil via the pipeline mechanism.

the use of sensors to track human health will be at its height in the coming decade. the use of smartwatches for health assistance is now very common. Cloud Concepts, Internet of things, and Wireless sensor Networks stimulate the use of sensors. However, on the one hand, where human health information is efficiently processed to revert any recommendations, input, or messages, on the other hand, the information gathered by sensors is often revolving into an open network, making it open to everyone. this will be hazardous as if some intruders access anyone's data then the intruder knows all the health information of the person and can misguide him in various ways. Although such data is in small amounts still it is always precious for everyone and wants to keep them secret. this paper will first discuss the concept of HIoT and finally, present a survey on different types of privacy techniques already existed for securing the data in the Body sensor Network. © 2021 ieee.

Wireless sensor networks are functioned by using battery sources. A lot of sensors in the network is collaboratively utilized for performing, sensing, processing, and communication. these tasks use additional energy and have an effect on lifetime. Clustering methodology provides a better solution for performing the data communication process which extends the lifetime. In this paper, a bat-inspired technique is presented in LEACH-C to select the suitable cluster head. the proposed methodology utilizes the echolocation performance of bats for balancing exploration and exploitation phases in the optimization process. the fitness function is computed by using residual energy and node distance. the proposed method is estimated with the performance metrics of a lifetime, energy consumption, and the alive nodes. the proposed methodology prolongs the lifetime and reduces energy utilization. © 2021 ieee.

this study provides a comprehensive examination of the potential benefits of speed and substantial change from integrating health measurement with cloud-based electronic health records (cloud EHRs) to expedite health care Many challenges a traditional health record systems meet include data fragmentation, limited accessibility, security. there were some concerns. the use of cloud computing in healthcare, which integrates patient data and provides data security and universal access, addresses these issues. the healthcare industry has rapidly embraced cloud computing, dramatically changing the way patient care is delivered and delivered. this study looks at the benefits of using a cloud-based electronic health record (Cloud EHR) in conjunction with the generation of health metrics, providing a detailed analysis of how this integration leads to improved health care delivery increase the article also discusses how cloud EHR systems use context -the-art technologies such as data analytics and machine learning and provide relevant data for prediction and analysis. they also review the security measures used in cloud systems to ensure that confidential health information is accessible, intact and private.
