Artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology (BCT) are considered two of the most trending and disruptive technologies. BCT, although commonly associated with cryptocurrencies, has shown a tremendous impact among many other distributed applications domains. BCT characteristics, such as the distribution of data storage among independent nodes and the use of consensus algorithms offer immutability and transparency and remove the need for a central authority making BCT trustworthy. However, decision-makers and stakeholders currently lack the confidence to overcome uncertainty related to AI technology, which affects the acceptance of AI technology in wider application domains, such as the recruitment process. Furthermore, current research literature does not adequately investigate the role of trust as an integral part of an AI-based recruitment application. therefore, this paper aims to investigate how emerging BCT and AI technologies can improve decision making and stakeholder trust in a job recruitment system that is traditionally focused on just human expert decision-making. In this paper we propose the design of a new solution for trusting AI in recruitment applications through the use of Blockchain Smart Contracts (TAIRA-BSC). TAIRA-BSC integrates Blockchain Smart Contracts (BSC) with the Data Lake (DL), Machine Learning (ML) and AI technologies in our AI Recruitment Model (AIRM) architecture. TAIRA-BSC improves transparency and interoperability in the recruitment process while protecting sensitive job candidate data and ensures data integrity delivery and traceability in the recruiting process through a verifiable decentralized ledger, i.e., the blockchain and associated smart contracts. the paper presents a discussion on the state-of-the-art of integrating AI with BCT focusing on how BCT can be used to bridge trust concerns with AI systems. this paper presents partial discharge (PD) localization in power transformers using acoustic time reversal (TR) method. the proposed acoustic TR method can locate the PD source in the transformer using only one acoustic sensor, whereas the time difference of arrival (TDOA) based method requires more than one sensor. the proposed method includes three steps (a) measurement of the acoustic PD signal using one sensor (b) time reversing and back injection of the measured signal into the transformer model through numerical simulation (c) determine the focusing point of the back injected signal using appropriate criterion which provides the location of the PD source. the finite element method (FEM) based two-dimensional (2D) numerical simulation model of the transformer with acoustic PD source is implemented in COMSOL multiphysics. the simulation model is used to investigate the acoustic PD wave propagation in the transformer. the maximum acoustic pressure field criterion is used to locate the PD source in the transformer.

With the determining factor of actuation from data provided via wireless sensor and actuator networks has been subjected to missing data due to various reasons in wireless network trans mission. the terrain of co-localized sensors are utilized in conventionally predicting or estimating the values. this research work proposes a matrix completion missing values in wireless sensor and actuator networks (MCMV-WSAN) of appropriate correlation index for estimating the missing components. Updating the bias of sensors associated with actuator provides enormous information about data transfer. It also ensures that, the missing value has been predicted by involving the correlation of co-located sensors and its appropriate time. Assessment of the proposed work has been performed via network simulation for analyzing missing detection, root mean square error and energy efficiency. © 2021 ieee.

In this paper, the influence of driving torque distribution on the track tension of distributed electric tracked vehicle is analyzed, and a driving torque distribution method based on the optimal efficiency is proposed. When the required torque of one side is not greater than the corresponding torque of the highest efficiency point under the current motor speed, the front motor outputs all the required torque. On the contrary, the front and the rear motor output the same driving torque. the simulation model of distributed electric tracked vehicle is established with Matlab/Simulink, and the torque distribution method is verified by simulation. © 2021 ieee.

Smart systems increasingly demand the processing of a massive amount of data generated by heterogeneous and distributed data sources. Due to the inherent cyber-physical nature of these systems, many applications require that this processing respects a set of non-functional requirements (such as timeliness, or energy-efficiency). To cope with this challenge, edge-cloud architectures need to provide flexible mechanisms to support varying processing needs, whilst guaranteeing the minimum level of quality of service required by these smart applications. this paper addresses this challenge in the context of the ELASTIC software architecture, which has been developed integrating responsive data-in-motion (edge computing) and latent data-at-rest analytics (cloud computing) into a single solution, satisfying extreme-scale analytics' performance requirements. the paper focuses on how the architecture fulfils the non-functional properties inherited from the applications, namely real-time and energy-efficiency, whilst ensuring the performance of the software architecture.

the main objective of this project is to help deaf and dumb people by removing communication barrier so that they are not restricted in a small social circle and are able to convey their feelings and emotions whenever they want. Fire poses a significant threat not only to human life but also to property, necessitating prompt and effective identification and control. Traditional systems are labor intensive, which is often slow and ineffective. this study utilizes cutting edge technologies in robotics and artificial intelligence to develop a robot which can detect and put out fire without human intervention. the system engaged multiple sensors such as thermal cameras for heat sensing, gas detectors and smoke sensors. the robotic system has been trained of different terrains with the use of convolutional neural network navigation algorithms to navigate through various terrains. the fire suppression system is intended to use water foam, dry chemicals and wet chemicals to suppress different classes of fire effectively. Several tests under simulated conditions as well as real life conditions have also confirmed that the robot works effectively and can be used to improve fire hazards safety. Overall, the developed robot represents a very important progress in the field of fire management due to its more trustful and efficient performance in comparison with conventional systems.

A network's traffic can be monitored by an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), which then sends out warnings if any malicious behavior is detected. It's a program that checks if a website link leads to malicious content or if there was a policy violation on the network. As a case study for IDS, identifying phishing websites has been performed. One of the most effective tools for hackers to carry out a variety of security attacks is the widespread distribution of fake website Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) via messages, email, etc., with the goal of fooling unaware consumers into providing over sensitive information or worse. Traditional methods for detecting phishing websites, such as employing blacklists, are used to make predictions about phishing URLs. Traditional solutions based on blacklists are not effective at predicting many phishing websites, because so many new ones are created and released on the Internet every day. three distinct Artificial Intelligence (AI) models-Random Forest (RF), Naive Bayes (NB), and XGBoost-are used to accurately detect dangerous URLs. Both the authentic and the fraudulent URLs were obtained from various sources. the AI model is trained with the retrieved relevant features. Following this, performance indicators are used to assess the quality of the AI models. According to the outcome of the testing data, the XGBoost model achieved a maximum accuracy of 96.98%, which is higher than the accuracy of the remaining models tested. then the XGBoost model has been finalized and deployed as a website, anyone can immediately recognize the phishing URL.

the eddy current method of control is analyzed and the possibility of its use for the identification of metals and alloys is substantiated. It is shown that this can be done by modernizing the eddy current radio engineering system with dynamic scanning of metal samples, which consists in the use of modern microcontrollers with high-precision ADC operation. the structural scheme of the modernized system is presented, some aspects of the processing of the received response signal are considered, which made it possible to highlight the information coefficients that would represent the metal or alloy as a generalized image. It is proposed to use the developed control system for the inverse problem - detection of defective zones on rolled metal sheets. the process of identifying the type of defect is carried out using the same methods as for spot samples of metals. the application of automation of the movement of the sensor during the control of rolled metal allows to identify metals and alloys in real time, to carry out express control, without human intervention in the identification process.
