this paper focuses primarily on the flexibility of active prosumers in an islanded microgrid operation. the main objective is finding the best strategy to implement on an existing medium voltage grid, with several consumers, with the capability of producing some power for the grid operation, via Renewable Energy Resources (RES), or thermal Units, generally gas turbines, also there is the capability of some energy storage through batteries. Since power output of RES has a cost per kw of zero, it is greatly important to find the best combination of these resources who best suit the test system. For the purposes of these tests, the available investment funds are unlimited, although, there are some constraints regarding maximum RES penetration and ESS capacity.

A new communication paradigm is necessary for efficient utilization of existing radio spectrums as bandwidths are limited and spectrum consumptions are inefficient. sensor nodes in Cognitive Radio sensor Networks (CRSNs) can measure and provide accurate information at various network locations. Routing information in CRSNs are challenging issues due to their complicated topologies, sporadic connections, spectrum variations and limitations in energy. Additionally, channel stability, path dependability, and route discovery frequency should be used. Because they focus more on one feature than any other, the current routing algorithms do not satisfy all throughput, energy efficiency, and resilience criteria. Increasing the network lifetime is a goal of many routing systems, which results in the selection of optimal routing pathways. the nodes that are located along this optimal path have a greater amount of their energy consumed, which results in their premature demise. Distributing traffic among numerous paths rather than along a single path that is deemed to be best is one way that multipath routing methods extend the lifetime of WSNs. In this work, Node Grade Factor (NGF) based node-disjoint multipath routing protocol (NGFMR) is proposed for energy efficiencies during selections of disjoint node paths. When selecting a path, QoS criteria like Distance to SINK, spectrum availability, communication cost, and node latency are taken into consideration. this helps to ensure that there are no path interferences between the nodes and loads are effectively distributed amongst different paths using discontinuous path routes that assist in enhancing network's QoS. the results of this study's simulations demonstrate that the proposed NGFMR performs significantly better than other standard protocols when compared for values of network throughput, packet delivery ratio (PDR), energy consumptions, and end-to-end delays.

Digitizing biomarkers analysis by quantifying them at the single-molecule level is the new frontier for advancing the science of precision health. the enhancement of the technical capabilities of bioelectronics systems, by giving clinicians the possibility to rely on biomarkers quantifications down to the single-molecule, holds the potential to revolutionize the way healthcare is provided. Such an analytical tool will indeed enable clinicians to associate a biomarker tiniest increase to the progression of a disease, particularly at its early stage.1 Eventually, physicians will be able to identify the very moment in which the illness state begins. Such an occurrence will enormously enhance their ability of curing diseases by supporting better prognosis and permitting the application of precise treatment methods. the single molecule bio-electronic smart system array for clinical testing - SiMBiT - technology has been developed within the blooming field of precision medicine, leveraging on the single molecule with large transistor (SiMoT)2 lab-based technology that can perform single-molecule detection of both proteins and DNA bio-markers.3,4 Specifically, the SiMBiT technology has lately developed the SiMoT lab-based device into a cost-effective portable prototype multiplexing array that integrates, with a modular approach, standard components and interfaces with novel materials and exhibits enhanced sensing capabilities. the SiMBiT prototype has proven its potency in early detection of pancreatic cancer, being capable to discriminate among low-grade and high-grade mucinous cyst's lesions in peripheral biofluids, such as plasma samples. In this perspective, machine learning approaches play a pivotal role in developing classifiers for a fast, reliable multiparametric biosensors output. Supervised model based on multivariate data processing has been undertaken to enable multiplexing, i.e. the simultaneous quantification of three biomarkers, namely MUC1 and CD55 proteins

Uncontrolled flames and emission of gases can be extremely dangerous. In order to solve this issue, this project presents a quickly accessible gas and flame detection system that is constructed with easily accessible equipment. To detect leaks and open flames, the system makes use of gas sensors and flame sensors, respectively. A central micro-controller receives data from both sensors and trigger alarms, send SMS alerts with GPS location for remote notification, and activate automatic fire extinguishers or gas expulsion systems. Prioritizing user-friendliness and cost-effectiveness, the project utilizes Arduino IDE for programming and Fritzing for circuit design with a special focus on readily available components to minimize complexity and keep costs low. this developed system promotes safety awareness and prompt action by automatically triggering alarms, alerts, and minimization measures, ultimately contributing to a safer environment for residential and small-scale industrial settings. the project was tested and demonstrates effectiveness in the detection of gas leaks and open flames, towards appropriate responses, and prioritizes user-friendliness and affordability. the developed system finds applications in campuses, homes, industries, and smart city environments.

Query processing over large datasets in an efficient manner is a challenge. It can be very time-consuming to perform range queries on vast data that has several features. this problem is often encountered in implementing databases. One solution to solve this problem is to maintain the data in the form of self-balancing binary trees that can return range query results in logarithmic time if the result set is considerably small compared to the data. In this paper an efficient data storage model using AVL trees is presented to solve this problem. the solution also presents its use over a distributed dataset using Hadoop framework. the paper also presents the modeling of the solution to MapReduce to perform range queries over distributed data. © 2021 ieee.

this paper investigates the moving target localization problem in distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems using bistatic range (BR) and bistatic range rate (BRR) measurements, which can be obtained via some local sensor signal processing methods. In the first stage, the cost function of the localization problem is re-formulated by augmenting the unknown vector, and then initial estimates of the target position and velocity are given. In the second stage, the estimation error terms of the first stage are estimated by the weighted least square (WLS) technique. To the end, the target position and velocity are refined by subtracting the estimation errors from the outputs of the first stage. Numerical simulation results corroborate the theoretical developments. © 2021 ieee.

the Automated Parking System (APS) initiative uses cutting-edge technology to solve typical parking-related issues in small and medium-sized businesses, thereby improving urban mobility and efficiency. the goal of this project is to create and deploy an automated system with servo motors, ultrasonic sensors, Arduino-based microcontrollers, and an intuitive online interface. the principal objective is to optimize the procedure for identifying and scheduling parking spots, consequently mitigating traffic and enhancing customer comfort. the APS sends real-time data to a central database by using ultrasonic sensors to determine if each parking space is occupied. Users can then log in, reserve parking spaces, and get a special access code using this data via a web interface. Drivers enter their access code at the entrance keypad upon arrival, causing the system to validate the code and, if it is valid, open the associated barriers. Due to the system's dynamic updating of slot availability, users are always given update with correct information. the APS's functionality and real-time data processing capabilities are demonstrated through the integration of a basic simulation using MATLAB and LabVIEW, underscoring the system's potential to greatly enhance parking management. Notwithstanding obstacles like preserving security and guaranteeing sensor accuracy under diverse circumstances, the APS offers a scalable, reasonably priced solution designed for smaller parking lots. this study lays the groundwork for next advancements in automated parking technologies, which will hopefully increase accessibility to and benefit from sophisticated parking assistance for a larger variety of enterprise.

RF energy harvesting offers a promising solution for addressing energy limitations in wireless devices, particularly in IoT and sensor networks, by enabling autonomous operation and reducing reliance on batteries. However, the power of RF signals can fluctuate due to channel fading, interference, and mobility, posing challenges for energy harvesting and data transmission. In multi-device scenarios, competition for limited RF energy resources exacerbates these challenges. To address this, the Cooperative Harvest-then-Transmit (C-HTT) method is proposed, allowing devices to cooperate in energy harvesting and data transmission. By sharing RF power information and coordinating schedules, devices can optimize energy use, avoid interference, and ensure fairness. the C-HTT method involves four steps: initialization, energy harvesting, data transmission, and cooperation, where devices adjust their schedules based on shared RF power conditions. Simulations comparing C-HTT to time-sharing and random access methods show significant improvements in throughput, energy efficiency, and fairness in multi-device, time-varying RF-powered systems.
