this work deal with on-line estimation and compensation of friction in industrial cable robot manipulation. First, a parametric model is developed for a classical friction model. then, a recursive least squares on-line friction estimator is presented. Next, a Lyapunov based adaptive controller based on Flackstepping scheme is designed to compensate for friction in actuator unit. Finally, we implement the simulation for this design. the simulation results show on-line parameter estimation algorithm and adaptive control scheme have generally achieved desired performance. We introduce the two-commodity capacitated vehicle routing problem with synchronization (2- CVRP-S). In the 2-CVRP-S customers must be supplied with two different commodities. Each commodity requires the assignment of a certain type of vehicle. A schedule synchronization constraint couples the two resulting vehicle routing problems for the two commodities. this constraint ensures that the two delivery operations starting times at a customer site do not differ by more than a given time span. We propose a mixed integer linear optimization program for the 2-CVRP-S. A standard solver is applied to several instances in order to get initial insights into the impacts of the synchronization requirements among the two fleets. the report addresses the problem of finding the estimation for optimal contractual time of delivery from the manufacturer's warehouse via an overseas consolidation warehouse to buyer's warehouse in the buyer's country in case of automotive delivery. Supply chain management, consolidation warehouse management and logistics management are carried out by supplier who is the party to the contract with the buyer. Optimality is considered in sense of minimization the supplier's relative costs including payments of penalties for delay in delivery. this article deals with a job scheduling on two cranes subject to non-interference constraints. It is based on a real case at a distribution center of steel coils, where two cranes sharing the same rail must load a sequence of trucks, which has a defined demand of coils. the problem is mathematically modeled as a parallel machines with ordering variables and with time index variables. the proposed formulations are computationally tested among different instances. Solving the assignment and routing problem for Home Health Care Services (HHCS) is a very complex task because of the high number and the diversity of actors that participate in the process, and the criteria to be optimized. Given the multi-objective nature of the problem, we propose in this paper a multi-objective approach based on a mixed integer linear programming to support decision making in Home Health Care Services. the purpose is to find an effective feasible working plan for each resource on a daily basis, which ensures the patients' and the caregivers' satisfaction while controlling costs and respecting patients' preferences. To solve this model, we used the solver ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio. the program has been tested on existing TSP benchmark instances and additional random data. Numerical results show that a good balancing between patients' and caregivers' preferences and travel cost can be reached by using the proposed approach. Due to the numerous dynamic influences affecting manufacturing companies, continuous adaptation is required. Tools and methods are developed in order to support management decisions. In most cases however, these tools and methods can hardly be evaluated due to lack of information, especially in strategic environments. A "hardware-in-the-loop"-like evaluation framework for management procedure models is therefore presented in this paper, in order to evaluate and optimize different management procedures. A fuzzy expert system based simulation framework is suggested and a structured procedure for evaluation and optimization is presented. this paper presents a preliminary study of economical manufacturing front optimal control perspective. We begin with modeling two manufacturing systems as linear and nonlinear constrained continues time dynamics, respectively. Economical manufacturing, characterized by minimal economical cost, is formulated as optimal control problems with variations on the cost function and system dynamics. the optimal control problems are interesting and challenging to solve due to constraints, nonlinearity, battery components, and consideration of energy price profiles. Rigorous analysis establishes the characteristics of optimal solutions and/or properties of optimal control problems. Medication misuse among the elderly has become a big issue in healthcare industry. Especially for those who have been prescribed several different medications at once, and for a prolonged duration of time, they tend to forget to take their medicine on time, or they easily taking wrong medicine on same time. Hence, we propose a pill dispenser with alarm system to help them taking right medication at the appropriate time. Combination of infrared sensor and Arduino microcontroller control the medication dose. Alarm system is implemented via popup notification on the user's smart phone.

Modern manufacturing companies are under economic pressure to respond more rapidly to a changing production environment, including short product life cycles, individually customisable products. and the introduction of new disruptive manufacturing processes. this paper details a new manufacturing philosophy and software architecture for Evolvable Assembly systems, based on the principles of decentralization, context-awareness and intelligent resources, that is implemented using intelligent agent technology and a data distribution service. We also detail the Smart Manufacturing and Reconfigurable Technology demonstrator - an instantiation of the Evolvable Assembly systems architecture that implements a proof-of-concept abstract custom pharmaceuticals production line. the assembly proccss is often the final stage of the production process. which implies that the products have a lot of accumulated value hence making error is expensive at this point of the product life-cycle. Empirical studies show that 90% of the final assembly tasks are still pensive tasks are still performed by humans and in most cases solely relying on own experience. Because of the product complexity and the operational complexity, caused by the mixed model structure, the mental workload imposed on the operators is typically high. Consequently, the probability of errors is higher and delays may occur. Cognitive automation ensures that the mental workload imposed on the operator will be reduced. this paper will focus on a method for evaluating the performance of a manual mixed model assembly system equipped with a cognitive information system. For this purpose a framework is designed. the framework is categorized in three inner sections: product, workstation and operator data. these sections will define the mixed model assembly system and create a perforrnance scor All rights ***, a technical description of a cognitive information system is given. the cognitive information system will support the operator, both intrinsic and extrinsic, by offering him process related information. the cognitive information systems have three important aspects: what, how and when.
