Researchers have developed various different static models for Pneumatic artificial muscle actuators using virtual work technique by using the volume of air entering into the actuator. A comparative study of the measurement and estimation of the air consumption of a pneumatic artificial muscle actuator during its actuation is performed in this article. Such actuators being non-symmetrical, require an extensive hardware to accurately measure their volumes by water displacement technique. the relative performance of two alternative methods, blob analysis and flow rate measurement are analyzed and the anomalies have been reasoned out. A short study on the identification of the actuator inflation process has been performed to show how the estimation technique could be improved.

the quality of oil determines the status and life of the devices. However, most Chinese vessels have not equipped with on-line oil quality testing facilities. therefore, a special on-line oil quality monitoring system for vessels is designed to real-time monitor of oil pollution change. An alarm signal or control signal based on the monitoring results is sent, which supports the purifier automatically and water, particles and gases are removed from the oil to maintain a good oil quality. the system is developed and implemented in the vessel corporation and has a good prospect of application. the application of this system will promote the process of the intelligent device management.

Reactive rhythm bands to imagined speeds of index finger movement and offline classification of imagined speeds were explored in the paper. EEG was recorded when 4 subjects executed motor imagery of two tasks at first-person perspective that involved left index fingers at two speeds (4Hz and 1Hz, trained and paced by metronome). Relatively prominent rhythmic activities around 10-13 Hz and 24~26 Hz over C3, 12~13 Hz over Cz, and 11~13 Hz, 8~10Hz, and 25~26 Hz over C4 were found by spectrum analysis. the most significant band 9-13Hz was used to construct the feature space. the Fisher discriminant analysis method (FDA), multi-layer perceptron neural network (MLP), and distinction sensitive learning vector quantization (DSLVQ) were applied in offline identification of imagined speeds respectively. the best average misclassification rates between fast and slow movement imagination by only three derivations C3, Cz, and C4 with FDA, MLP, and DSLVQ were 27.5±1%, 31.2±3.7%, and 34.6% at 3260 ms respectively. the results showed that FDA in this study was better than MLP and DSLVQ. this study demonstrated that discrimination for imagined speeds of finger movement was possible and feasible. Classification of imagined movement speeds with high accuracy based on EEG is also possible through improving methods in the paper. the study may provide a strategy to realize fine control of robots by brain-controlled robot interface.

Dynamic Movement Primitives (DMPs) framework is a powerful approach to imitate motor skills, which has outstanding characteristics, such as convergence to the goal position and good imitation performance. Considering complex motion scenes of manipulators, such as changing the goal position or adding obstacles, the original DMPs framework is not sufficient for the requirements. In this paper, we propose a learning control-based hierarchical control strategy to adapt to new goal positions and avoid obstacles: the high-level learning scheme is targeted at imitating the motor skill and generating the optimization trajectory for obstacle avoidance; the lower-level control scheme focuses on the safety and stability of the robot's movement with unknown disturbances. Firstly, the enhanced DMPs framework is presented to imitate the trajectory from human demonstrations, where the novel DMPs can adapt to new goal position with the changing goal, and avoid single or multiple obstacles. then, the fuzzy adaptive control method is employed to control redundant manipulators, where the fuzzy logic system (FLS) is incorporated to approximate an unknown nonlinear function term of the unknown disturbance. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed learning-control strategy is demonstrated with simulation results. the results show that the developed hierarchical strategy has good performance for new goal adaptation and obstacle avoidance.

Transmission towers are critical infrastructure for power transmission, and the reliable operation of their equipment is essential to ensure electricity supply. However, the detection of transmission tower equipment faces challenges such as target overlap, large variations in size, small targets, and class imbalance due to the characteristics of the equipment. To tackle the identified issues, this study introduces a method based on YOLOv7 for the detection of transmission tower components, utilizing saliency-based data augmentation. Initially, an approach focusing on importance is employed to augment the sample size in categories with limited numbers, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of detection. Secondly, an adaptive adjustment module is introduced into the multi-head self-attention mechanism to dynamically adjust attention allocation based on the actual size of the targets and integrate contextual information, thus better handling targets with large size variations and overlaps. Finally, incorporating dynamic convolution within the backbone network significantly improves the ability to extract features from small objects. the outcomes of the experiments confirm the efficiency of the suggested approach in the smart surveillance of devices within intricate transmission settings, offering a reliable solution for maintaining power supply dependability.

Now, the development of mobile robots is a promising industry, as these types of robots are acquiring more and more functionality for solving various tasks and in most cases are developed as universal robots that help perform different tasks simultaneously. In this regard, this article discusses the problem of developing a mathematical model of a motion control system for a helicopter-type mobile robot. A mathematical model of a mobile robot motion control system has been developed, using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as an example, which allows you to track the flight movement in state space. Simulation model of UAV control system based on a PD-controller has been developed using Matlab/Simulink. the simulation model controls the spatial motion of the UAV through four control channels (roll, pitch, yaw, and altitude). the calculations were performed based on the optimal method using the integral quadratic criterion for a nonstationary linear control system. the simulation results show that the developed mathematical model is an optimal simulation for stabilizing a mobile robot (UAV) in desired positions and orientations.

At present, the number of patients with lower extremity dysfunction is increasing year by year. However, traditional rehabilitation training cannot meet the needs of patients for rehabilitation training. Rehabilitation robot is a good solution to train patients instead of the rehabilitation physician. Based on clinical practice experience, a lower limb rehabilitation training system based on virtual reality (VR) is designed, which combined the VR technology and rehabilitation evaluation program to improve the rehabilitation efficiency of patients. According to the functional requirements of the lower limb rehabilitation robot (LLR-RO), the construction of rehabilitation robot control system and sensor system is completed. Based on the Unity3D development environment, a VR scenes of space shooting is planned and created for rehabilitation training VR technology which enables patients to complete the training process while maintaining a pleasant mood. through the software and hardware debugging, the feasibility, data transmission capability of VR-based remote rehabilitation training system and the synchronization performance of VR scenes and rehabilitation robots are verified. In the future, more virtual reality scenes will be studied to adapt to patients of different genders and ages.
