this article describes an analysis of the key technologies currently applied to improve the quality, efficiency, safety and sustainability of Smart Grid systems and identifies the tools to optimize them and possible gaps in this area, considering the different energy sources, distributed generation, microgrids and energy consumption and production capacity. the research was conducted with a qualitative methodological approach, where the literature review was carried out with studies published from 2019 to 2022, in five (5) databases following the selection of studies recommended by the PRISMA guide. Of the five hundred and four (504) publications identified, ten (10) studies provided insight into the technological trends that are impacting this scenario, namely: internet of things, Big Data, Edge computing, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain. It is concluded that to obtain the best performance within Smart Grids, it is necessary to have the maximum synergy between these technologies, since this union will enable the application of advanced smart digital technology solutions to energy generation and distribution operations, thus allowing to conquer a new level of optimization. © 2022 IEEE.

the number of internet of things (IoT) devices and the data produced by these devices have increased dramatically in recent years. IoT networks have benefited from the arrival of 5G, which aims to link more devices quickly and reliably. However, many of these devices are unsecured, leaving the internet open to assault. Since IoT devices are resource-restricted, attackers may simply mount a larger and more complex DDoS assault using IoT devices. Entropy-based detection is technique proposed by other researchers, and it has a high sensitivity and a good degree of reliability. In this paper, authors propose an entropy-based framework with the machine learning algorithms to optimize the detection result. the proposed system consists of three parts: the first part is to create a sliding time window to calculate the entropy, and the second is using the Euclidean distance to make early detection possible during the DDoS but not after the collapse. the third part is the use of machine learning algorithms (KNN and SVM), to improve the accuracy of the results in early detection. the results showed that the proposed system is able to increase the accuracy from 98.6% to 100%, and efficiently detect attacks in real-time for (ICMP, TCP, UDP, HTTP and DNS) DDoS attacks. © 2022 IEEE.

With the increasing scale of power grids and the growing demand for intelligence, efficient and accurate collection and processing of grid engineering survey data has become critical. this study aims to explore the optimization application of cloud computing technology in grid engineering data collection and processing. We design and implement an optimization algorithm based on cloud computing, which integrates several technologies such as distributed computing, big data storage and management, cluster monitoring and security management. through comparative experiments, our algorithm significantly outperforms traditional methods in terms of data processing speed, achieving at least a four-fold improvement;in terms of data accuracy, the error rate is controlled at a lower level of 0.2%-0.3%. In addition, our method demonstrates good scalability and cost-effectiveness. this study not only provides an efficient data processing solution for power grid engineering, but also lays a solid foundation for the intelligent and digital transformation of future power grids. © 2025 SPIE.

Comprehensive energy services belong to the category of industrial services. they not only have a shallow demand for facilitating transactions, but also need to be deeply empowered in combination with the characteristics of the industry. Its unique market characteristics and demand characteristics are an important driving force for its platform development. In the 4G era, it is difficult for communication facilities to meet the needs of the internet of things in logistics, which is reflected in the operation and production in the logistics park or warehouse generally using traditional Wi-Fi technology, which is susceptible to interference, resulting in unstable communication and limited capacity, and even effective coverage contraction. With the emergence of the internet of things (IoT), advanced technologies like fog and cloud computing have been harnessed to create dynamic, real-time platforms addressing the needs of modern decision-makers. Crucial to this process is the recommendation of services tailored to each user's requirements in IoT settings, with the potential for improved Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE). the presented method in this paper leverages sensors, services, and fog computing within IoT systems to enhance QoS and adapt to user feedback. the approach involves ranking QoS of services based on Reliability, Availability, and Cost (RAC), and identifying the Most Popular Service (MPS) previously selected by the user. Comparison with Co-Scheduling System for Fog-node Recommendation and Load Management (CoS_FRLM) and User Characteristics-Collaborative Filtering (UCCF) demonstrates our method's effectiveness in maximizing recall, precision, and f-measure, as tested with the Network Simulator (NS3). © 2023 IEEE.

To meet heightened user demands, 5G networks are undergoing evolution and are expected to be operational by 2023. However, this evolution has led to increased energy consumption in mobile networks, resulting in a concerning surge in carbon footprint and adverse effects on the environment and human health. this paper addresses these challenges by presenting a survey of techniques aimed at making the upcoming cellular networks more environmentally friendly, often referred to as 'GREEN.' Various technologies integral to 5G networks, such as device-to-device communication, spectrum sharing, ultra-dense networks, massive MIMO, and the internet of things, are explored with a focus on promoting green communication. the optimization process for wireless router energy consumption involves four sequential steps. Initially, efforts focus on maximizing idle times without clients by filtering out unnecessary broadcast traffic. Subsequently, during extended idle periods, the router optimizes energy usage by periodically power cycling its radios while remaining ready for new connections. With associated clients, energy efficiency is further enhanced by selectively powering down transmit antennas during idle intervals. Finally, a unified approach integrates power cycling of transmit antennas both with and without clients, ensuring optimal energy utilization across various operational scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Metaverse is an emerging virtual universe where humans can have real-time interactions and solid social links like in the physical world, and it opens up a new era of internet and interactions. In Metaverse, an immersive and photorealistic environment promotes social activities, including education, meetings, and shopping of digital avatars based on critical technologies, including 3D rendering, extended reality, digital twins, artificial intelligence, and Blockchain. However, the limitations of computation, storage, and energy resources restrict the development of Metaverse, and a series of system issues (e.g., latency, security, and battery-life) continue to arise. As a result, how to find corresponding measurements to mitigate unsatisfactory influences becomes the focus. Mobile edge computing (MEC) as a distributed computing paradigm offloads computation-intensive tasks to the edge of the network. It brings the resources as close as possible to the end devices, addressing the shortcomings mentioned above. In this paper, we propose a comprehensive survey of the MEC-based Metaverse. Particular emphasis is given to the technologies convergence, architectures, and application scenarios, e.g., BoundlessXR and CloudXR. Significantly, we introduce the potential future directions for developing Metaverse systems.

the integration of edge computing and vehicle networks with future communications (e.g., 5G/6G networks) enables computation-intensive and delay-sensitive applications, such as autonomous driving. However, the mobility of end devices and vehicles with context switching brings a considerable Quality of Service (QoS) degradation and interruptions in edge services provisioning. Predicting the end-user mobility and context switching enable edge nodes to migrate services proactively to guarantee the QoS. But the cost maybe significant if the prediction is wrong. Service migration seems to be an effective way to minimize service disruptions and maintain service continuity. Service migration can be performed in two ways: proactive and reactive. Most of existing works focus on either reactive or proactive service migration models without considering resource usage efficiency. In this paper, we consider the combination of reactive and proactive service migration and propose a novel framework for joint optimization of service migration and resource management for vehicular edge computing by leveraging reinforcement learning (RL) as an emerging technique. We construct an optimization problem to reduce migration costs in terms of latency and energy usage. Finally, we present Multi-Armed Bandit (MAB) methods for solving the optimization issue. Rigorous theoretical analysis and extensive evaluations, combining both testbed and numerical simulation, demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed intelligent service migration framework in vehicular edge computing environments. © 2023 IEEE.
