From home products to industrial firms, ICT impacts everything. Cloud, Fog, IoT, AI, and Block-chain technologies collect massive amounts of data in business, education, health, and home appliances. At least 75 billion devices will process 175 ZB in 2025. 5G will generate big data, speeding up network transfers and allowing live HD video uploads. By impersonating humans on the network, self-driving vehicles and other AI gadgets will create vast data. Heterogeneous data storage and management are tough due to rapid transformation and enormous data flow. this article discusses heterogeneous massive data storage, security, management, and cloud storage's future. Details of these issues suggest new cloud storage research dynamics. © 2024 IEEE.

the Contemporary IoT implementations rely on cloud computing for data storage, encountering challenges such as suboptimal data processing performance and a diminished fault tolerance rate. In response, this research introduces an innovative approach employing Hadoop distributed File System (HDFS) to enhance access to storage techniques in cloud computing environments. HDFS is strategically employed to refine the data access storage architecture within the IoT framework by considering various factors influencing the data access storage distribution. Hash values are harnessed to optimize the configuration of data access metadata storage locations, thereby refining the data access storage distribution strategy. the optimization process extends to the IoT topology, where considerations for data block distribution are meticulously addressed using an effective methodology. this holistic approach ensures that the IoT ecosystem is not only architecturally optimized but also that the data block allocation with the overall efficiency goals. the proposed methodology is validated through comprehensive simulations and real-world experiments that simulate diverse IoT scenarios. the results demonstrate a substantial enhancement in data storage efficiency, reduced latency, and improved overall system reliability when compared to conventional storage techniques. Additionally, the implementation incorporates robust security measures, including encryption, access control, and authentication protocols, aligning with contemporary standards for safeguarding sensitive IoT data. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, with the rapid growth of the industrial internet platform layout, it has broken the relatively closed environment of the traditional industrial production system, making it unavoidable to face security threats such as viruses and hackers on the internet. In recent years, various industrial network security incidents have shown explosive growth, which has caused great economic losses and security threats to enterprises and society. It is urgent to carry out industrial internet security measurement research. Due to the advancement of information and communication technologies, information security has become a major problem for data transfer and routing. the internet of things(IoT) has significantly changed how technology is used in several spheres of life today. Cloud computing has revolutionized the field of information technology, leading to a significant change from traditional desktop systems to virtualized internet platforms in industry 4.0. Testing in the cloud computing environment is essential for guaranteeing the dependability, scalability, and security of applications. By conducting a thorough analysis and comparison of current literature, this research provides clear and important insights. the study thoroughly examines the patterns in yearly scientific output from 2008 to 2022, revealing a noticeable trend in scientific productivity. the visual depiction of this data provides a thorough examination of testing methodologies in software development, enhancing our comprehension of this ever-changing field. © 2024 IEEE.

the growing usage of internet of things (IoT) devices in smart city applications has resulted in a surge in data volume. However, a centralized cloud server for IoT applications is practically infeasible because of high latency and network congestion. Fog computing offers a solution by processing data near the network edge through distributed network devices. Nonetheless, selecting a fog device capable of placing, hosting and processing an application module is quite challenging and a nondeterministic polynomial (NP)-hard problem. therefore, an efficient application module placement strategy is needed to minimize latency and network usage in an IoT-fog-cloudbased environment. this paper proposes the gateway validation module placement (GVMP) strategy for effectively deploying application modules in IoT-fog-cloud-based environments. the proposed strategy places modules on heterogeneous fog devices in the environments. the performance of the GVMP strategy is evaluated using the iFogSim tool and compared with the edgeward module placement (EWMP) strategy. the simulation results show that the GVMP strategy significantly reduces average application latency and network usage compared to the EWMP strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

the fifth-generation (5G) offers advanced services, supporting applications such as intelligent transportation, connected healthcare, and smart cities within the internet of things (IoT). However, these advancements introduce significant security challenges, with increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks. this paper proposes a robust intrusion detection system (IDS) using federated learning and large language models (LLMs). the core of our IDS is based on BERT, a transformer model adapted to identify malicious network flows. We modified this transformer to optimize performance on edge devices with limited resources. Experiments were conducted in both centralized and federated learning contexts. In the centralized setup, the model achieved an inference accuracy of 97.79%. In a federated learning context, the model was trained across multiple devices using both IID (Independent and Identically distributed) and non-IID data, based on various scenarios, ensuring data privacy and compliance with regulations. We also leveraged linear quantization to compress the model for deployment on edge devices. this reduction resulted in a slight decrease of 0.02% in accuracy for a model size reduction of 28.74%. the results underscore the viability of LLMs for deployment in IoT ecosystems, highlighting their ability to operate on devices with constrained computational and storage resources.

the internet of things, a new world in computer networks, is growing more and more significant due with its vast range of applications in goal-oriented initiative advances. People nowadays have access to remotely applications that include agriculture, environmental sensing, integrated solutions, as well as smart cities due to the internet of things. these are the modern, advanced technologies that make things simple. the IoT must have effectively improved the number and diversity of connected gadgets, resulting in an attractive trend. the fog computing paradigm, which is also a relatively recent invention mostly in computer industry, can efficiently supplement conventional cloud platform with much more sustainable technologies. Despite its low environmental impact, fog computing can potentially be extremely important for the development of smart agriculture. In this work, introducing a fog-based internet of things architecture that takes advantage of the fog as well as its services, lowering the amount of data relayed towards the cloud, enhancing computationally resource utilization. the increasing domain of smart agriculture, which involves all agriculture management approaches, is subject to the suggested fog computing methodology. Additionally, using this platform as a foundation, did simulations as well as illustrated how such fog computing strategy may signficantly minimise the quantity of data sent to the cloud. It also suggest as well as outline a proposed system that can detect the alert conditions over heterogeneous sensor data streams yielding effective crop protection. © 2023 IEEE.

Cloud computing is widely being used by researchers’ academia and industry for its abundant opportunities. Different technologies such as internet of things, Edge computing, and Fog computing are gradually integrating with the cloud platform due to its scalability and availability. the number of cloud users is also increasing exponentially. the requests generated from wide range of users are random. Executions of request and providing the quality of service are one of the promising issues in cloud environment. Optimization of response time and commutation cost is the major concern in cloud environment. Researchers have proposed many heuristics, meta-heuristic approaches for solving the load balancing issues in cloud platform. In this paper, authors have proposed a hybrid approach for load balancing in cloud computing using genetic algorithm with gravitational search algorithm. Simulations are carried out using cloud Sim Simulator and comparisons are made with other competitive approaches to evaluate the performance of the system. the lighting is the important phenomena that are used in our day to day life. they must be utilised in a proper way without any consequences. the rise in the demand is caused due to functioning of equipment unnecessary that leads to increase in the consumption of power. To overcome these drawbacks, the digitalization is implemented. this is done through the internet of things. this helps to function through evolving the two way communication system. the lighting system must be properly functioned through analysing the illuminance and luminance. Higher or lower illuminance level can cause various constraints in physical and mental health. To overcome these constraints, the proposed system is implemented. this is done through the thyristor controlled system. the thyristor is a solid state switching devices that are used to withstand the rated voltage until it gets triggered. the thyristor once triggered, the current through the triggering phase can be removed without turning off the equipment. the illuminance percentage is visualised through matrix keypad. the overall system is functioned and monitored through internet of things. © 2024 IEEE.
