Federated Learning (FL) is a novel distributed machine learning paradigm that holds great potential for collaborative model training in internet of Vehicles (IoV). However, employing FL in IoV presents several challenges. First of all, the heterogeneous vehicular resources may lead to the bias of vehicle selection for model training and result in poor performance with respect to data diversity. Moreover, executing FL tasks with limited resources and energy is also a non-trivial problem. In view of this, we investigate an efficient FL framework in IoV, and then formulate the Vehicle Selection and Resource Optimization (VSRO) problem, which aims at minimizing the energy consumption and training latency without jeopardizing model accuracy. On this basis, we first propose a vehicle selection algorithm based on Lyapunov optimization method that dynamically selects vehicles to participate in each round of FL, taking into account the computational and transmission capabilities of vehicles, as well as their participation frequency in FL tasks. Furthermore, a resource scheduling algorithm is proposed for the selected vehicles, which utilizes the Lagrange dual problem and sub-gradient projection to iteratively determine the optimal training process. the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms can achieve best performance on enhancing model accuracy and simultaneously reducing system energy consumption and latency.

In recent years network computing system, have been becoming important due to the increasing need for data processing and exchange. In this paper we focus on a public-resource computing system that uses Peer-to-Peer approach for data distribution. We assume that the considered system works oil the top of an overlay network. We formulate an Integer Program optimization model of the system. Next an effective heuristic algorithm is developed to solve that model. Results of numerical experiments showing comparison of the heuristic against solutions provided by CPLEX solver are presented.

Unprecedented connectivity over internet has given rise to digital society where individuals turn to netizens in cyberspace. the support that computing science can offer enabling netizens to active citizens is of interest for computing professionals. From computing science perspective, this paper addresses some of the issues like modelling a netizen, communication, pressure group creation, electronic voting, law making and education for digital society;scopes the research challenges the issues offer.

OWL and RDF/RDFS are ontological languages developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3), which have become a de facto standard for the, ontological descriptions in various domains. the evolution of these standards was influenced by the numerous advances in the research of knowledge representation and reasoning. Although support for reasoning and standardized representation is the key benefit, of these technologies, there is a lack of existing test, frameworks, which would be capable of addressing many crucial aspects of the Semantic Web applications. In this paper we propose a methodology for automated testing of OWL reasoners based on the real-world ontologies. this specification covers both terminological and assertional reasoning as well as checking of the correctness of the answers. An open-source implementation of such framework is described and a study of initial result is provided. the tests cover an extensive set of reasoners and ontologies and provide a state-of-the-art insight, into the field of OWL reasoning.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks have been used efficiently as building blocks for large-scale distributed network applications in wired networks. On the other hand, with large Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANeTs) becoming even more realistic, it is pertinent to build those distributed network applications in MANeTs as well. In this paper, we provide analytical results for performance measures of these underlying MANeTs using finite buffer open queuing networks (FBOQNs) with gated queuing nodes, intermittent links and servers. the results are verified by simulation.

the use of the internet as a research tool or venue has grown exponentially, and with such growth, continued attention to an array of ethical issues is necessary. One of the long-standing ethical issues in internet research revolves around privacy and identifiability. this paper will contextualize the current state of internet research and its ongoing ethical considerations with attention to a new "default of identifiability." It describes issues related to internet-related human subjects research, though it is not intended to align with regulatory guidance. Instead, the paper seeks to stimulate further discussion across disciplines about the ethics of contemporary internet research.
