Smart Cities have many smart applications such as smart transportation. Nowadays some of the transportation models are changing from individual ownership to shared and distributed ownership. Examples of such models are Uber, uDrive, and Lyft which utilize the distributed vehicles model that have been implemented all over the world. these models are used to serve commuters for inter- A nd intra-city travel. However, short-range urban transportation services within compounds, campuses, residential compounds, and public parks such as bicycles are not being explored to their full capacity compared to the distributed vehicle model. this research proposes the design of a Smart Mobility Shared Transportation System to serve short-range travel. the system consists of an edge computing device which is installed on an electric bike (e-bike), charging station, web application, mobile application, and a server. Each bike is considered as an object (thing) that is connected to the internet, which makes it an internet of thing (IoT). the bike's whereabouts, status and surrounding environmental parameters uploaded to the web server for data analytics and visualization through a tailored web application for the administrators. A mobile app is developed to enable users to start using the bike sharing system. the proposed system can be scaled to build a distributed shared mobility system that can fit hundreds of bikes. © 2021 IEEE.

In the present scenario, cloud computing has become a marketable technology that allows consumers to easily access resources through the internet, based on pay per use model. these resources are provided as services to the customer. Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service are the 3 service models provided by the cloud. With the huge advancement in cloud computing technologies, it is widely used by many business applications, industry applications, Enterprise organizations that are committing to multi-cloud architectures, and finally, most IT expenditures are based on the cloud. However, security is the key challenge that needs more concern. According to recent studies, the most critical security concern that is confronted by cloud users is resource availability. this availability issue is mostly affected by the distributed Denial of service attack. the distributed Denial of service attack is an enhanced model of Denial of service. the main intention behind the distributed Denial of Service attack is to bring down a specific service by flooding the servers and network with malformed packets which leads to the unavailability of resources to legitimate users in a cloud. Recently, cloud infrastructures also have been severely impacted by denial of service attacks. the attacker always tries to break the security at the infrastructure level as it provides the basic computing infrastructure for all cloud delivery models. this paper frames the cloud computing services and distributed Denial of Service attack scenarios and their different defense mechanisms. © 2021 IEEE.

Infrared imaging is the main method for detecting power equipment and a key means to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power grid. Traditional infrared imaging devices are bulky, inconvenient to carry, and unfriendly to operate, which affects their practical application effectiveness. In recent years, infrared imaging online detection and portable infrared imaging technology have been continuously developed, and advanced technologies such as “big cloud moving intelligence” have been rapidly applied, providing new ideas for infrared imaging detection. this article proposes mobile phone infrared imaging detection and perforated infrared imaging online detection technology solutions based on the characteristics of overhead lines and distribution station buildings in the distribution network, and designs an infrared imaging detection architecture based on cloud edge collaborative distribution equipment. Based on the cloud/edge collaboration mechanism, the inference calculation is moved forward to edge devices such as edge gateways or mobile phones. the model is trained in the cloud, and the model algorithm is updated before being distributed and deployed to the edge, reducing network transmission and cloud computing pressure. the cloud/edge updates independently. Finally, experiments have shown that the infrared imaging detection architecture for power distribution equipment based on cloud/edge collaboration effectively reduces network transmission load and cloud computing pressure, is easy to operate, and has good implementation effects. It provides a new solution to solve the series of problems existing in existing infrared imaging detection.

Cloud computing in the medical sector refers to the method of storing, maintaining, and processing electronic health records and relevant services on cloud servers that are accessible over the internet. the flexibility of cloud computing makes it a practical approach for enhancing the quality, dependability, and efficiency of medical services, as well as increasing patient-doctor interaction and safeguarding patient anonymity if proper measures are taken. Furthermore, cloud strategies facilitate healthcare technologies such as computerized healthcare records, remote appointments, mobile applications, patient portals, IoT devices, and big data analytics, enabling trouble-free scalable solutions. Integrating cloud computing technologies can especially be beneficial in increasing the efficiency of healthcare services in developing counties where physical health infrastructure is usually limited. As such, the objective of this work is to explore the feasibility of incorporating cloud and distributed computing in e-healthcare through an extensive requirement analysis and user study. then, the smart healthcare system will be compared with traditional database-centric healthcare systems and a prototype system will be designed and implemented based on the findings. Finally, we focus on finding the usability and user acceptance of such systems and challenges that lie with integrating cloud services to e-healthcare systems for the general user demographic of developing countries through extensive usability evaluation. © 2021 IEEE.

Cloud computing, a novel paradigm for distributed data processing, has emerged as a transformative technology enabling the storage and retrieval of data over the internet. the prevalence of Software-as-a-Service has revolutionized work dynamics, fostering a culture of secure remote access across diverse devices. Within the realm of Cloud Storage, the imperative for effective security and privacy measures is underscored. this research proposes a robust data security framework employing the Cryptography Splitting Algorithm. User files undergo encryption, increasing security levels from 25 to 75 are securely stored with a cloud service provider. the Cloud Manager empowers users by enhancing security, managing tracking mechanisms, and safeguarding metadata, thus fortifying data confidentiality and flexibility in utilization. Leveraging the Cryptography Splitting technique ensures secure data storage, concurrently enhancing both security and privacy for user data. Furthermore, the proposed methodology undergoes rigorous scrutiny in an adversary setup, incorporating neural network analysis to evaluate the resilience of data security measures. this analysis reveals the encryption scheme protects communication by maintaining a low $A-B$ loss around 0.1 while reducing Eve’s ability to intercept messages from 0.7 to 0.2. this research contributes a comprehensive approach to securely managing data in the dynamic landscape of cloud computing.

the status of distribution transformers plays an important role in ensuring the secure and stable operation of these grids, owing to the large number of distribution transformers on the distribution grid. the monitoring method and process of fuzzy inference are presented. the IoT-based monitoring system consists of a subsystem for data measurement and a data reception subsystem. Firstly, by using the data measurement system, transformer signals are measured and sent to there mote server. Current power grids are experiencing a rapid transition to their more involved, versatile and intelligent smart grid counterparts, which presents enormous challenges in many ways, such as the convergence of different areas. distributed sources of renewable energy, cyberspace defense, demand-side management, and system planning and activity decision- making. Also apply an IoT techniques and fuzzy inference machine learning algorithms to achieve more accurate result. For fulfillment of sophisticated features in the smart grid relies heavily on the Knowledge behind it. © 2021 IEEE.

Contemporary concerns over the governance of technological systems often run up against narratives about the technical infeasibility of designing mechanisms for accountability. While in recent AI ethics literature these concerns have been deliberated predominantly in relation to machine learning, other instances in the history of computing also presented circumstances in which computer scientists needed to un-muddle what it means to design accountable systems. One such compelling narrative can frequently be found in canonical histories of the internet that highlight how its original designers' commitment to the "End-to-End"architectural principle precluded other features from being implemented, resulting in the fast-growing, generative, but ultimately unaccountable network we have today. this paper offers a critique of such technologically essentialist notions of accountability and the characterization of the "unaccountable internet"as an unintended consequence. It explores the changing meaning of accounting and its relationship to accountability in a selected corpus of requests for comments (RFCs) concerning the early internet's design from the 1970s and 80s. We characterize four ways of conceptualizing accounting: as billing, as measurement, as management, and as policy, and demonstrate how an understanding of accountability was constituted through these shifting meanings. We link together the administrative and technical mechanisms of accounting for shared resources in a distributed system and an emerging notion of accountability as a social, political, and technical category, arguing that the former is constitutive of the latter. Recovering this history is not only important for understanding the processes that shaped the internet, but also serves as a starting point for unpacking the complicated political choices that are involved in designing accountability mechanisms for other technological systems today. © 2022 ACM.

the global growth of cloud computing services is witnessing a continuous surge, starting from storing data to sharing information with others. It makes cloud service providers (CSPs) efficiently utilize the existing resources of datacenters to increase adaptability and minimize the unexpected expansion of datacenters. these datacenters consume enormous amounts of energy generated using fossil fuels (i.e., non-renewable energy (NRE) sources), and emit a substantial amount of carbon footprint and heat. It drastically impacts the environment. As a result, CSPs are pledged to decarbonize the datacenters by adopting renewable energy (RE) sources, such as solar, wind, hydro and biomass. However, these CSPs have not completely ditched fossil fuels as RE sources are subjected to inconsistent atmospheric conditions. Recent studies have suggested using both NRE and RE sources by the CSPs to meet user requirements. However, these studies have not considered flexible duration, nodes and utilization of the user requests (URs) with respect to datacenters. therefore, we consider these URs' properties and propose a RE-based scheduling algorithm (RESA) to efficiently assign the URs to the datacenters. the proposed algorithm determines both the earliest completion time and energy cost, and takes their linear combination to decide a suitable datacenter for the URs. We conduct extensive simulations by taking 1000 to 16000 URs and 20 to 60 datacenters. Our simulation results are compared with other algorithms, namely round-robin (RR) and random, which show that RESA is able to reduce the overall completion time (i.e., makespan (M)), energy consumption (EC), overall cost (OC) and the number of used RE (vertical bar URE vertical bar) resources.

Low power wide area network (LPWAN) is one of the main internet of things (IoT) networks that is widely used for the outdoor-IoT applications. A main feature with such networks is the long-range coverage that enables the dense deployment over such networks. However, the introduction of massive number of IoT devices puts many constraints and limitations on the design and development of such networks. A promising solution for a part of such challenges is the introduction of distributed computing technology to enable this massive number of deployed devices. this work considers such deployment of heterogeneous forms of distributed computing units to assist the design and development of LPWAN networks for dense deployed applications. Two main forms of the distributed computing are considered in this work;multiple access edge computing (MEC), and fog computing. the integration of fog and MEC units is introduced in a way that achieves higher latency, energy, and availability efficiency. A proof-of-concept of the developed model is introduced for dense deployment scenarios. the developed fog-MEC model is evaluated for LPWAN for heterogeneous simulation scenarios, and the simulation results validate the developed model. © 2021 ACM.

With the application of virtualization technology, the resource utilization rate of data centers has been improved to a certain extent, but cloud resources are usually pre-allocated according to users' requirements, and the resource utilization rate still needs to be improved. the data processing of smart power network adopts cloud computing technology to build smart power cloud computing network, which can provide effective technical support for smart power network business. In the smart power network, in view of the increasing demand of users and power departments, the traditional data processing methods are difficult to meet. As for cloud computing system, it is not only easy to expand management, but also has the characteristics of distributed computing and distributed storage, so it is very applicable in smart power network. Aiming at the goal of global energy internet to realize data sharing and the difficult problem of data integration and exchange in current power grid dispatching system, this paper proposes a cloud service-oriented power grid dispatching data service platform, which reduces the complexity and coupling degree of data interaction among power grid dispatching business systems and achieves the goal of seamless data interaction.
