Determination of state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) in today's world becomes an increasingly important issue in all the applications that include a battery. In fact, estimation of the SOC and SOH is a fundamental need for the battery, which is the most important energy storage in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs), smart grid systems, drones, UPS and so on. Regarding those applications, the estimation algorithms are expected to be precise and easy to implement. this paper presents an online method for the estimation of the SOC and SOH of Valve-Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries. the proposed method uses the well-known Kalman Filter (KF), and Neural Networks (NNs) and for SOH estimation uses Augmented Kalman Filter (AKF). All of the simulations have been done with MATLAB software. the NN is trained offline using the data collected from the battery discharging process. A generic cell model is used, and the underlying dynamic behavior of the model has used two capacitors (bulk and surface) and three resistors (terminal, surface, and end), where the SOC determined from the voltage represents the bulk capacitor. the aim of this work is to compare the performance of conventional integration-based SOC estimation methods with a mixed algorithm. Moreover, by containing the effect of temperature, the final result becomes more accurate.

Identification of a final state after red a test is one of the fundamental testing problems for discrete event systems and synchronizing sequences represents a conventional solution to this problem. In this paper, we consider systems modeled by a special class of synchronized Petri nets, called 1-place-unbounded, that contain a single unbounded place. the infinite reachability spaces of such nets can be characterized by two types of finite graphs, called improved modified coverability graph and weighted automata with safety conditions. In case these two finite graphs are deterministic, we develop novel computation algorithms for synchronizing sequences for this class of nets by decomposing the finite graphs into strongly connected components.

the interactive experience of virtual scenes is a computer-generated virtual scene. this virtual scene allows users to temporarily detach from reality, immerse themselves in it and interact withthe objects in the scene. this is conducive to mobilizing the user's enthusiasm to use, while adding a touch of comfort to the traveler in the tired journey, will experience a different fun from the real life. At the same times, this scenario will also allow the user to experience it in a way that will also inspire or connect withthe mind. the two scenes selected for this project are "porthole" and "listening, moving in the sky". the first scene does not change the interaction between the user and the screen, and enables the user to experience the scenic spots of chinese distinctive cultural heritage and traditional culture, and in the age of the internet, it reflects chinese friendliness to people all over the world, and at the same time better spreads and protects chinese traditional culture. the second landscape allows children to experience the feeling of stepping into the sky in the game, reducing the anxiety brought to children by long waiting time, and the interaction of the connection between the speaker and the horn can effectively promote the communication between children.

the home health care routing and scheduling problem (HHCRSP) consists in assigning and routing care-workers to provide cares or services at clients' homes. It is often treated as a variant of the vehicle routing problem (VRP) with time windows, multiple depots and specific constraints. To solve this problem, we propose a heuristic combining a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) formulation and a greedy algorithm. Our main objective is to ensure the continuity of care while taking into account practical constraints that are hardly studied together in the literature. We are able to propose a good feasible solution in a few minutes for instances up to 35 care-workers, 200 clients and 742 services over a week.

this paper presents a handheld mobile game, Grocery Hunter that encourages children to take on healthy eating habits. Children can use a pocket PC to play the Grocery Hunter game to learn about food nutrition and healthy food choices. Childhood obesity in the United States has already reached epidemic proportions. the best way to help children attain and maintain healthy weight is through physical activity and nutritious eating. Our design addresses nutrition directly by teaching children healthy eating habits using an interactive game in the grocery store.

As information technology (IT) and telecommunication systems continue to grow in size and complexity, especially with Internet of things (IoT) gaining popularity, maintaining a secure and seamless exchange of information between devices becomes a challenging task. A large number of devices connected over the Internet leads to an increase in vulnerabilities and security threats, which makes the identification of critical assets necessary. Asset identification helps organizations to identify and to respond quickly to any security breaches. In this paper, machine learning based techniques are used to identify assets based on their connectivity, i.e., servers and endpoints. For the analysis presented in this paper four different machine learning algorithms, K-Nearest Neighbor, Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machines, and Random Forest algorithms are used and the performance of these algorithms is assessed in terms of the F-score calculated for each algorithm. Results show that for a given dataset, amongst all four algorithms, the Random Forest classifier achieved highest accuracy in terms of identifying the assets correctly. However, the Random Forest algorithm is computationally intensive and may not work for large datasets. Naive Bayes algorithm yielded the worst performance and K-Nearest Neighbor's performance was very close to that achieved by Support Vector Machines. Our results shows that for the given dataset, Support Vector Machine based classifier was found to be a good compromise in terms of accuracy and computational expensiveness.
