Microbial fuel cells (MFC) is a new technique for the environmental protection and new energy. Microbial desalination cells (MDC) is a kind of MFC which has the function of desalination while producing electricity. the design of control strategies is a scarcity part in the field of microbial fuel cells. this paper presents to design an explicit model predictive controller for a kind of microbial fuel cell, which uses the machine learning method for easy to implement. Also, a systematic data-driven control method is presented for the design of explicit model predictive controller for time-varying output tracking in nonlinear model systems. the design consists of (1) sampling the admissible state space by the mathematical model to make the controller better suited to the model;(2) solving for optimal model predictive control actions at each sampled data point and determining feasible region of the nonlinear programming problem;and (3) constructing the control surface of explicit model predictive controller using artificial neural network. In particular, the designed control algorithm is performed on a seven-dimensional mathematical model of microbial desalination cells to test the good control performance.

Based on the concepts of word-of-mouth effect and viral marketing, the diffusion of an innovation may be triggered starting from a set of initial users. Estimating the influence spread is a preliminary step to determine a suitable or even optimal set of initial users to reach a given goal. In this paper, we focus on a stochastic model called the Independent Cascade model, and compare a few approaches to compute activation probabilities of nodes in a social network, i.e., the probability that a user adopts the innovation. In the paper, first we propose the Path Method which computes the exact value of the activation probabilities but it has high complexity. Second an approximated method, called SSS-Noself, is obtained by modification of the existing SteadyStateSpread algorithm, based on fixed-point computation, to achieve a better accuracy. Finally an efficient approach, also based on fixed-point computation, is proposed to compute the probability that a node is activated though a path of minimal length from the seed set. this algorithm, called SSS-Bound-t algorithm, can provide a lower-bound for the computation of activation probabilities.

In this paper, Adaptive Dynamic Programming (ADP) technique is utilized to achieve optimal motion control of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) System. the paper proposes a model-free based method that takes into consideration the actuator input and obstacle position while tracing an optimal path. the concept of machine learning enables to develop a path-planner which aims to avoid collisions with static obstacles. the ADP approach is realized to approximate the solution of the cost functional for optimization purpose by which the positions of the locally situated obstacles need not be priori-known until they are within a designed approximation safety envelope. the methodology is implemented to achieve the path-planning objective using dynamic programming technique. the Least-squares policy method serves as a recursive algorithm to approximate the value function for the domain, providing an approach for the finite space discrete control system. the concept behind the design of an obstacle-free path finder is to generate an optimal action that minimizes the local cost, defined by a functional, under constrained optimization. the most advantageous value function is described by the Hamilton Jacobi Bellman (HJB) equation, that is impractical to solve using analytical methods. To overcome the complex calculations subject to HJB, a method based on Reinforcement Learning (RL), called ADP is implemented. this paper outlines the concept of machine learning to realize a real time obstacle avoidance system.

this paper proposes a new blind method for speech watermarking utilizing the perceptual orthogonal matching pursuit (POMP). the employed POMP algorithm, which has been recently introduced to achieve a high-quality sparse representation of speech signals, is combined into a watermarking method in this work. the proposed watermarking approach is carried out as the following. First, an orthogonal dictionary is constituted of gammatone basis functions to be used in the POMP method. thereafter, the POMP algorithm is executed on short-time speech frames to find the most relevant gammatone kernels and the corresponding coefficients. Finally, the watermark bitstream is embedded into the phase of extracted coefficients and the reconstruction step is performed. By utilizing POMP representation with an orthogonal gammatone dictionary, a high secure speech watermarking scheme has been attained with a high capacity and an adequate robustness against various types of attacks.

In the rural English classroom teaching, it faces great challenges. It analyzes the problems existing in rural English classroom teaching and studies the countermeasures to improve rural English teaching. It is of great significance to improve the quality of rural English teaching. this article takes the interesting teaching method as an example to study the application of interesting teaching methods in rural English teaching. Firstly, it analyzes the problems existing in rural English teaching. Many rural students lack the enthusiasm for learning English and have no interest in learning English. In view of these existing problems, the application of the fun teaching method in rural English teaching is discussed, so that the rural English classroom can achieve effective results, and the efficiency of English classroom teaching can be improved, thereby improving the quality of rural English teaching.

In data center, which use virtualization technology and provide virtual machines (VMs) for their customers, they often receive the VMs renting request with determined multiple resource demanded which tends to arrive at an arbitrary time. Resource allocation strategies become one of considerable problem as they can affect the energy efficiency and resource utilization significantly. In this paper, we explore the resource allocation strategies which can minimize the number of used servers, in order to save the energy and maximize the resources utilization. We model this problem as the Vector Bin Packing Problem (VBPP) which is a variant of classic bin packing, proposed Multi-Dimensional Cloud Resource Dynamic Allocation Model(MDCRA) based on VBPP. Since most of existed algorithms aim to solve offline VBPP. We generalized those algorithms to online and proposed Single Weight and Double Weight family online algorithms based on the offline work. through both rigorous theoretical analyses and extensive simulations, we demonstrate that the proposed allocation strategies achieve energy saving and utilization maximization.

Information-Centric Networking (ICN) is a paradigm shift for Future Internet Architecture to eliminate issues in current implemented network. To date mobile communication still bring challenges due to diversity of network access characteristics. To achieve high Quality of Service (QoS), an intelligent services and mechanism is primly essential. Hence, the problem with ICN is articulated as an optimization problem to sustain the desired Quality of Service (QoS). these requirements motivate this study to improve the mobile QoS by hybridization of bio-inspired algorithm in the communication architecture. the proposed intelligent algorithm comprised of mutation, migration and crossover stages. For this, a cost function is designed and adopted in the selected bio-inspired algorithms to evaluate their performance in QoS optimization process. the statistical findings display the superiority of Bio-Geography Based Optimization scheme in comparison to the other algorithms.

A problematic gap between existing online privacy controls and actual user disclosure behavior motivates researchers to focus on a design and development of intelligent privacy controls. these intelligent controls decrease the burden of privacy decision-making and generate user-tailored privacy suggestions. To do so, at first it is necessary to analyze user privacy preferences. Previous studies show that user privacy profiles tend to have a multidimensional structure, which in turn might bring issues of an inexact user classification. this paper proposes to apply a fuzzy clustering approach, where fuzzy membership degree values can be used for the calculation of more precise personalized privacy suggestions. Based on the real-world dataset collected from a political platform(1), the fuzzy c-means algorithm was applied to demonstrate the multidimensionality and the existence of imprecise user privacy profiles, where a user simultaneously possesses features inherent in several clusters.
