Compiler optimization, reducing data load from memory and not using off-line data are issues that effective in enhancing energy retention of multimedia, embedded and general-purpose systems. In these systems most programs are comprised from loops, and this shows the importance of compiler optimization. In this paper we have carried out loop reduction using calculation and fusing two loops and transforming them to one loop that caused data locality increase and reusability, and decreased loading data from memory, thus increase speedup. We have applied this technique on several feature extraction algorithms, such as mean and variance and some similar algorithms like covariance and third moment that are used in content-based image retrieval systems. this technique approximately increases efficiency of two loops method twice. In addition, we have calculated the combination of these three functions. In this way, we have observed that the combined version also increases the efficiency twice.

In this study, ANN based magnetic field modeling has been experimentally achieved for Double Sided Linear Switched Reluctance Motor (DLSRM) with 6/4 poles, 3 phases, 250W. Inductance modeling profile overlaps magnetic field data was obtained from hall-effect sensor. It is important that estimation inductance value against phase current and motor position due to main factors of the propulsion force. the precise inductance modeling helps to overcome DLSRM nonlinearity characteristic. In addition, the model is useful for controlling motor such as adaptive control methods, new developed force control methods, position control without sensor to be able removing some parts and becoming simplicity of control algorithms.

In this paper, we consider the two-parallel machine scheduling problem with a non-availability interval. We aim to minimize the maximum lateness when every job has a positive tail. We show that the problem has a constant polynomial approximation algorithm. We present a dynamic programming algorithm and we show that the problem has an FPTAS (Fully Polynomial Time Approximation Algorithm). the proposed FPTAS has a strongly polynomial running time. In order to reduce operating time and cost, this paper studies the container relocation problem during loading operations, withthe objective to minimize the total number of relocation movements. Given the retrieval order, this paper focuses on the best position for the relocated containers which are stacked immediately above the targeted one, so that the total relocation number will be minimized. A Brand-andbound algorithm is first proposed, and then a height-based heuristic algorithm (HH) is proposed to tackle large-scale instances. To further enhance the performance of the proposed HH, an improved algorithm (IHH) is proposed as well. Numerical experiments are conducted to compare the three proposed algorithms, and their superiority is also verified by comparing to the algorithm reported in the literature.
