Anticipating synchronisation (AS) is an interesting phenomenon whereby a dynamical system can trace the future evolution of an analogous 'master' system using delayed feedback. Although some have theorised that AS (or a similar phenomenon) has a role in human motor control, research has primarily focused on demonstrating it in novel systems rather than its practical applications. In this paper we explore one such application: by coupling the dynamics of the joints in a simulated robot arm, we seek to demonstrate that AS can have a functional role in motor control by reducing instability during a reaching task.

Smart microgrid concept deserves communication assisted protection, control and management. In this paper, information within microgrid for monitoring, control and protection purpose is carried out and mapped according to power system automation standard IEC61850. Multi-agent technology is adopted to define the characteristics of different intelligent devices. Furthermore, wired and wireless technology based integrated, robust and reliable communication network is proposed for real time monitoring and control of microgrid. Performance analysis of the network is done by modelling microgrid nodes and traffic according to IEC61850 with Optimized Network Engineering Tool (OPNET). Simulation results are provided to claim the performance of the proposed network for reliable operation of microgrid in both islanded and grid connected modes.

In this study, it is aimed to monitor and controlthe plant production in greenhouses, and increase the efficiency of greenhouses by doing interdisciplinary research in the fields of agriculture, electronics, robotics, and data mining. In the small and outnumbered greenhouses used by farmers, to collect data using static sensor systems is both costly and impractical. In this study, an autonomous mobile robot has been developed and used to collect information from the greenhouse and mapping the greenhouse. By using the autonomous mobile robot, that is designed and produced for the project needs, sensory data such as, RGB-D map of the greenhouse, moisture, temperature, and light, were obtained. As well as the mobile robot could autonomously navigate in the greenhouse, it can be manually controlled by an operator. On the robot, robot operating system (ROS) is used. By using RGB-D mapping and SLAM packages in the ROS, robot can find its position in the greenhouse can measure the temperature, the moisture, and the light density of this location, and generates a three dimensional map of the greenhouse. In this study, data about how it changed the greenhouse environment and the plants grown in the greenhouse was obtained with measurements made at regular intervals of time. the next step of this study is process the data gathered by the robot in real time to get information such as the number of the crops, the phonological phase of the crops or condition of the greenhouse.

Understanding the settlement process of Cr in marine bay is essential to pollution control and environmental remediation. Jiaozhou Bay is a semi-closed bay located in Shandong Province, China. this paper analyzed the seasonal variations of Cr in bottom waters, and identified the settlement process. Results showed that Cr contents in bottom waters in spring, summer and autumn were 0.06-3.78 μg L, 0.03-2.11 μg L and 0.27-1.58 μg L, respectively, indicating order of autumn > summer > spring. By means of the settlement process, there were four high Cr content regions in bottom waters of Jiaozhou Bay, i.e., 1) coastal waters in the west of the bay, 2) estuary of rivers in the east of the bay, 3) the center of the bay, and 4) the bay mouth. the input of Cr and the geomorphology of the bay were the mainly determining the settlement process of Cr, leading to the high Cr content regions mentioned above. Cr in surface waters was rapidly settling to bottom waters, and was accumulating in the bottom.
