Reactive rhythm bands to imagined speeds of index finger movement and offline classification of imagined speeds were explored in the paper. EEG was recorded when 4 subjects executed motor imagery of two tasks at first-person perspective that involved left index fingers at two speeds (4Hz and 1Hz, trained and paced by metronome). Relatively prominent rhythmic activities around 10-13 Hz and 24~26 Hz over C3, 12~13 Hz over Cz, and 11~13 Hz, 8~10Hz, and 25~26 Hz over C4 were found by spectrum analysis. the most significant band 9-13Hz was used to construct the feature space. the Fisher discriminant analysis method (FDA), multi-layer perceptron neural network (MLP), and distinction sensitive learning vector quantization (DSLVQ) were applied in offline identification of imagined speeds respectively. the best average misclassification rates between fast and slow movement imagination by only three derivations C3, Cz, and C4 with FDA, MLP, and DSLVQ were 27.5±1%, 31.2±3.7%, and 34.6% at 3260 ms respectively. the results showed that FDA in this study was better than MLP and DSLVQ. this study demonstrated that discrimination for imagined speeds of finger movement was possible and feasible. Classification of imagined movement speeds with high accuracy based on EEG is also possible through improving methods in the paper. the study may provide a strategy to realize fine control of robots by brain-controlled robot interface.

We consider distributed collaborative caching groups where individual members are autonomous and self-aware. Such groups have been emerging in many new overlay and peer-to-peer applications. In a recent work of ours, we considered distributed caching protocols where group members (nodes) cooperate to satisfy requests for information objects either locally or remotely from the group, or otherwise from the origin server. In such setting, we identified the problem of a node being mistreated, i.e., its access cost for fetching information objects becoming worse with cooperation than without. We identified two causes of mistreatment: (1) the use of a common caching scheme which controls whether a node should not rely on other nodes in the group by keeping its own local copy of the object once retrieved from the group;and (2) the state interaction that can take place when the miss-request streams from other nodes in the group are allowed to affect the state of the local replacement algorithm. We also showed that boththese issues can be addressed by introducing two simple additional parameters that affect the caching behavior (the reliance and the interaction parameters). In this paper, we argue against a static rule-of-thumb policy of setting these parameters since the performance, in terms of average object access cost, depends on a multitude of system parameters (namely, group size, cache sizes, demand skewness, and distances). We then propose a feedback control approach to mitigating mistreatment in distributed caching groups. In our approach, a node independently emulates its performance as if it were acting selfishly and then adapts its reliance and interaction parameters in the direction of reducing its measured access cost below its emulated selfish cost. With high maneuverability and flexibility, aerial transportation by suspending the payload beneaththe quadrotor is an ideal choice. To adapt more complex traffic conditions and extend the application scope of aerial transportation systems, the ability of payload hoisting/lowering is studied in this paper. the dynamic model is established by Lagrange's modeling method, and main characteristics are then analyzed based on the derived model. Subsequently, through an energy-based analysis method, we design a nonlinear controller for the corresponding system. By using Lyapunov techniques and LaSalle's invariance principle, the equilibrium point of the overall closed-loop system is proven to be asymptotically stable. Two groups of simulation are given to demonstrate the proposed control law's performance. Specifically, we compare the performance of the proposed system withthe one with invariant rope length.

In this regard, this article discusses the problem of developing a mathematical model of a motion control system for a helicopter-type mobile robot. A mathematical model of a mobile robot motion control system has been developed, using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as an example, which allows you to track the flight movement in state space. Simulation model of UAV control system based on a PD-controller has been developed using Matlab/Simulink. the simulation model controls the spatial motion of the UAV through four control channels (roll, pitch, yaw, and altitude). the calculations were performed based on the optimal method using the integral quadratic criterion for a nonstationary linear control system. the simulation results show that the developed mathematical model is an optimal simulation for stabilizing a mobile robot (UAV) in desired positions and orientations.

In addition, the interest in big data and analytics have increased in several areas because of the increased amount of data produced as well as a remarkable speed attained and its variation, i.e. the so-called 3 V's (Volume, Velocity, and Variety). the companies and organizations have seen the need to optimize their decision-making processes withthe support of data mining and big data analytics. the development of this kind of solutions might be a long process and for some companies something that is not within their reach for many reasons. It is, therefore, important to understand the characteristics of the open source solutions. In the area of high voltages and powers, the high quality inverter-fed ac drive is more easily achieved by the use of three-level inverters. For three-level inverters three different PWM control regions can be introduced where different three-phase PWM strategies may be applied. this paper deals withthe analysis of that three-phase PWM method of three-level inverters which ensures the lowest value of motor harmonic losses. However, the realization of this PWM method is not so simple as the space vector PWM. At the same time in the low and middle voltage area the space vector PWM method gives bigger harmonic losses than the optimal PWM method. the motor voltage spectrum derivation for boththe optimal version and the space vector PWMs are given and the results are checked by straight harmonic computations and by simulations.

Burkitt's lymphoma (BL) is a highly aggressive malignant tumor with high morbidity rate in children. Patients have different responses to the same therapy due to the molecular heterogeneity. Detailed observation of the surface structure of BL cells to locate the specific receptors (CD20) on the cell surface and measure the binding force between the CD20s and their cognate ligands (Rituximab) may give people a further understanding to BL cell's intrinsic properties and provide complementary approaches for the next generation of drug research and development. In this paper, we give an experimental study on how to obtain the morphology images of the BL cells both in air and liquid with atomic force microscope (AFM). the detailed procedures such as sample preparation of BL cells, parameter setting of AFM and so on, are presented, and the experimental results illustrate that the morphology image of the BL cell can be obtained in air or liquid respectively by using AFM.
