this paper describes the design process of a microcontroller-based portable battery charger that has an Internet of things (IoT) capability to monitor the charging process. A standard DC-DC buck converter is used as power converter to give a DC charging current to a battery, which is controlled by ESP32. At various points of operation, the micro controller can also send various data to a remote server for monitoring purposes via the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) network. It can also send its current location to the server. A rudimentary web dashboard is also made to monitor the charger's state of operation at any given time. the designed system is able to utilize a single microprocessor to simultaneously control the charging process, and also to communicate with the remote server. the charger itself has a maximum output of 650 watts (65.5V, lOA). Experimental works have been done to verify the proposed design

Positioning is an important issue in areas such as navigation, robotics, automation, aerospace and aviation. Indoor positioning systems are becoming increasingly important, especially in areas such as industry, resource management and crowd sourcing. the study a system for mobile robot positioning is designed, the working area is fixed, but the visual positioning system can be moved. the site estimate of the designed system was carried out by Machine Learning. Successful results were achieved with the MLP and SVM methods used. It has been observed that MLP type networks provide lower RMSE values due to the algorithms used in position estimation. Although this value is taken from very different positions and from different angles, the achievement of low results proves the adaptability of the system. Long-term operation of the designed system was also tested and it was observed that the system was able to estimate the position of the robot that passed the route points with an average error of 0.895 cm.

Electrical lighting systems contribute to approximately 20% of global electricity consumption and 6% of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, underlining the urgent need for more efficient and adaptable lighting solutions. Addressing the inefficiency of traditional manual lighting controls is crucial for reducing energy waste, especially in the global energy crisis and increasing carbon emission reduction targets. Despite advances in lighting systems, existing solutions often lack integration of intelligent control and real-time adaptability across diverse networks. this research addresses these gaps by developing a novel automated smart lighting system to optimize energy usage through intelligent control across multiple network environments. the proposed prototype integrates Raspberry Pi modules, relay modules, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), thonny IDE, and a web-based Application Programming Interface (API) to enable seamless automation and remote operation. the proposed system was tested under various conditions: local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), offline functionality, and across multiple web browsers to evaluate latency and operational reliability. the research results demonstrate that the system performs efficiently online and offline within the same or different networks. For online operations within the same network, delay times for light A ranged between 27 to 39 seconds, light B from 37 to 39 seconds, and light C at 33 seconds. the fastest delay on different networks was 5 seconds, with the longest at 39 seconds. Chrome browser exhibited the fastest performance with a delay of 6 seconds, while Samsung Internet had the longest delay at 39 seconds. these findings highlight the system's adaptability and potential for energy savings, though further work is required to optimize latency and extend network coverage.

We need the ability to quickly adapt to new supply chain operations in order to keep up with the ever-evolving nature of today’s business climate. Supply chain management activities are one area where software agents have been widely implemented and used with great effectiveness. Agents’ actions are defined by their intended function, and their utility is evaluated in light of their design goals. Managing intricate supply networks now requires the use of decision-support tools. By quickly identifying and fixing bottlenecks and capitalising on market opportunities, logistics diagnostics helps freight transport businesses thrive for the long haul. the management system takes a logistical approach in order to prioritise value. Values and needs of consumers are always changing, and so are the goods and services that meet their needs. used to create those values are the foundation of the logistic method. the research’s ultimate goal is to formulate a systematic means of creating a supply chain management system and performance index. this study employed the research approaches of system analysis, logical-structural procedures, categorization, and grouping. Incorporating big data analytics with the ability to apply autonomous corrective control actions, this article creates a multi-agent-based supply chain management system with an enhanced performance index. the implications of the system on the flexibility of the supply chain are examined.

this paper presents the design and implementation of COVID-Bot, an open-source robotic platform for sanitizing single plant environments such as offices, houses, apartments, among others. this development seeks to create a tool that contributes to the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, from a low-cost and easy-to-replicate robot, which disinfects surfaces through type C ultraviolet radiation. the platform is based on a differential robotic base, an RGB-D camera, a tracking camera, three UV-C lamps, and an embedded computer running the ROS-based control software. In addition, this paper presents the description of the hardware used, the software implemented, and the tests carried out to corroborate the operation of the integrated system. these tests demonstrated that the system is adequate to autonomously cover a one-floor apartment, based on the theoretical radiation distance of the used lamps. In this paper, the problem of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarm control is considered. As the most promising approach to UAV swarm control a composite one was chosen. the proposed conceptual model of the composite method includes operator, base station, and two communication networks: one between agents and another one between base station and agents. UAV trajectory computation is fulfilled on the land-based station using swarm reconfiguration algorithm. Two enhanced 3D reconfiguration algorithms were presented: eased and based on divide and conquer—which differ in used collision avoidance methods. Eased algorithm contains a method of parallel translation of target points, homothety, and target coordinate exchange method. To ensure control of greater swarm size, algorithm based on divide and conquer was developed. Algorithm based on divide and conquer includes parallel translation, delay allocation method, collision graph composition and divide and conquer algorithm. For evaluation algorithm performance tests in virtual environment were performed on swarms of different sizes (from 10 to 100 agents). Greater trajectory calculation time and swarm reconfiguration time are explained by the greater number of used methods. However, the total trajectory and the average number of collisions calculated using algorithm based on divide and conquer have smaller values compared to eased algorithm. Eased algorithm provides UAV movement without collisions with a swarm size of 70 agents, while algorithm based on divide and conquer which has a limit of 90 agents. therefore, for swarm reconfiguration with a large number of agents, algorithm based on divide and conquer is more preferable. © the Editor(s) (if applicable) and the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2021.

Autonomous driving refers to a vehicle driving by itself without human intervention. An autonomous vehicle must recognize the environment with an attached sensor, make judgments appropriate to the situation, and drive toward its destination. Although many studies have been conducted on autonomous driving in clear weather, the response to bad weather is insufficient because the sensor encounters difficulties recognizing the environment when it is backlight or raining. this study proposes a method for recognizing objects (e.g., vehicles, pedestrians, lanes) based on polarization cameras for safe autonomous driving in backlight conditions or rain. First, the camera’s light input is adjusted, altering its aperture backlight conditions. then, the polarized image from the camera is synthesized and inputted into the object recognition network. the object detection network used Yolo v5, while the lane detection network used an ultrafast lane detection network. By extracting features from the same backbone, the inference speed of the object recognition network increased. On average, a speed of 23 fps and an object recognition accuracy of over 90% were shown in the Xavier environment.
