Using MRI to reliably diagnose brain tumors is important but it is often time-consuming. the study uses an automated method for brain tumor detection and classification using image processing techniques and conventional machine learning algorithms in order to considerably accelerate the diagnostic procedure and automate the diagnosis of brain tumors. through precise identification and classification of brain cancers in MRI images, the system provides a more efficient method of diagnosing brain tumors. the methodology consists of four main stages: data pre-processing, where images are prepared for analysis; application of various image filters such as bilateral, median, and Gaussian filters to enhance image quality and highlight tumor features; training of machine learning models including Logistic Regression and Support Vector Machines on pre-processed image data; and real-time prediction facilitated by a user-friendly graphical interface.

the use of Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in modern IoT applications is very important, as they can monitor and transmit data in different environments. Although their open communication nature, limited energy, and computational capacity render them highly vulnerable to Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks that will deteriorate network performance and reliability significantly. this survey covers all aspects of recent developments using artificial intelligence (AI) based techniques for the detection and prevention of DoS attacks in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). It gives particular attention to the integration of deep learning models and metaheuristic optimization strategies in terms of making their detection accuracy better, minimizing predication of false positives, and improving the model’s adaptability in the way of constraints of resource limits. Real time DoS detection has been studied under the perspective of different ensemble learning strategies, hybrid deep learning frameworks, and feature selection methods. the paper also examines the efficiency of the dimensionality reduction and heuristic tuning techniques in improving model performance. It also discusses future research directions, challenges and open issues that are meant for guiding future innovation in this domain.

In recent years, the demand for classification and monitoring of human activities has increased, and to satisfy such demand, this research work has come up with a system called human activity recognition using body sensor networks, this system recognizes the human activities with the body sensor networks and display the data on web application, it also maintains the data accuracy. Human activity recognition basically means recognition of the human actions on the basis of series of observations. It provides valuable information on well-being of humans, beside from that it also can keep track of human activities. Body sensor network here refers to the sensors attached to the body of the user in order to collect data which could be observed to recognize the activity. the data used to track and classify human activities is retrieved from sensors and are shown on web page with the help of cloud sever, different algorithms are studies and their comparison on the basis of accuracy and precision are also included. © 2021 IEEE.

Agriculture is essential for the continuous survival of man, however, the adverse effect of weeds in agronomy cannot be ignored. these weeds compete with crops for nutrients and sunlight, hence resulting in low crop yield. It is therefore necessary to identify and remove them at an early growth stage for effective weed control and maximum farm produce. this study focuses on distinguishing between crops and weeds at their infancy, using images processing. To achieve this, three convolutional neural networks (CNNs) architectures, ResNet, MobileNet and InceptionV3, were evaluated using a transfer learning technique on a dataset of 5,339 RGB plant images containing 12 different species of plants. Comparing their performances from experiments carried out, the results revealed the Inception V3 model as the best for crop identification with an accuracy of 82.4%, while ResNet and Mobilenet both achieved average accuracies of 71.1% and 75.4% respectively. ResNet however gave the best performance in terms of identifying weeds. Overall, Inception v3 was the best as other performance metrics including the recall, precision, and F1-score also corroborated the superiority of Inception v3 in distinguishing between crops and weed. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Human activity recognition is a modern research field that aims to monitor human vitals throughout various activities. this field, however, is still under development in terms of its integration with other fields. this work combines wireless network data with human activity recognition (HAR) through the UCI-HAR dataset, which extends human activity recognition with wireless sensor networks(WSN) data from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). UCI-HAR is a machine learning repository that collects wireless sensor network data, and HAR data from 30 subjects is used throughout daily activities. this work bridges HAR with wireless network quality measurement. We conducted our experiments using Google Colab for six classes of the dataset. the results show that random forest had an accuracy of 97% across all six classes of the dataset, and 1.00 precision scores were achieved for classes 0, 3, 4, and 5, and low for class 6. the findings of this study are significant for the Internet of things (IoT) applications in healthcare monitoring and smart home environments. It will contribute to developing intelligent and contextual-aware systems; therefore, it can improve various applications.

the routing in Underwater Acoustic Wireless sensor networks is challenging as the underwater environment is harsh and tends to vary unpredictably. Routing in underwater has high delay and also suffer from packet loss. So, Cooperative communication is important for maximizing the channel diversity gain. In Cooperative routing, relay selection is a crucial task. the optimized relay selection enhances the routing performance as well as the overall network performance. Many factors play a key role in a relay selection algorithm design. the relay selection algorithms may be based on variety of criteria’s such as performance, network lifetime, coverage expansion, power management, channel capacity. In this paper, these factors are discussed with respect to relay selection in underwater acoustic wireless sensor networks. this paper highlights the important relay selection design issues and compares the algorithms that are appropriate to cooperative underwater acoustic wireless sensor networks.

Owing to the rapid development of sensor technology and surge in internet of things (IOT) based system usage, the use of cost effective electrochemical sensors for various application is gaining popularity. this investigation analyses the feasibility of deploying a network of electrochemical sensors for monitoring gaseous air pollutants in urban areas and industries. It provides insights on how cost effective electrochemical sensors can be used to develop a network of pollution monitoring devices that can provide highly accurate and reliable field air pollutants data. It investigates various calibration techniques such as multi linear regression and neural network models to improve the quality of data acquired by the sensor platform, ensure low inter-platform variability and ensure consistency in the output for the end user. It aims to achieve high co-relation with a reference measurement. this study also investigates the effect of presence of other gases and various meteorological parameters such as relative humidity and atmospheric temperature on the overall performance of the electrochemical sensors. this investigation is aimed at making a positive pitch for wide scale deployment of such sensor networks to combat the menace of air-pollutants and its associated harmful effect on human settlement and environment. © 2021 IEEE.

Routing methods in underwater wireless sensor networks are subject to greater latency, more energy usage, little bandwidth, and insufficient efficiency when contrasted to terrestrial wireless sensor networks. Nowadays, it is used to discover life inside the ocean, and collect information about aquatic life and gather data for geographic variation. the sensor nodes operate within acoustic links to interact with one other, they vary from other networks. the efficiency of the information transfer to the destination is a critical factor because it consumes a lot of energy while transferring data. To overcome the aforementioned issues, an energy-efficient routing system is required, which increases the nodes or network lifespan. In this work, we analyze the different energy-efficient and non-energy-efficient UWSNs that are already available and classify them according to performance and efficiencies. © 2021 IEEE.

In this article, the relevant principles of substrate integrated waveguide are analyzed, and a passive humidity sensor based on polyimide as the substrate is designed. Subsequently, the sensor is modeled, simulated, and optimized. the sensor employs a polyimide substrate that features flexibility and operates. the sensor prototype was fabricated and tested using an environmental testing chamber, network analyzer, and other equipment. the test results indicate that the sensor can achieve detection in the humidity range of $20-95 \% \text{RH}$ , with a sensitivity of $865 \text{kHz} / \% \text{RH}$ at the temperature of $25^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ .

the paper reviewed the cutting-edge status in the Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology for the Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and the recent advances in the Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) technology. the receiver equipped with the Wireless Information Transfer (WIT) and the Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) units was illustrated. the paper also put forward the concept of Wireless Information and Power transfer sensor networks (WIPSNs) which denotes the WSNs combining with the SWIPT technology for the first time. the architectures of both the node and the network were derived by integrating the Time Switching (TS) or Power Splitting (PS) technologies into the receiver and extending the protocol stack of the traditional WSNs respectively. the components of each layers were discussed in detail and the existing challenges facing WIPSNs were also pointed out. Finally, the challenges in terms of five aspects, namely, the power management, MAC and routing protocols design, QoS constraint, and the security problem, are detailed.
