Wireless medical sensor networks (WMSN) are special types of sensor networks that are suited for medical applications. these networks must guarantee high security with low latency to store and retrieve data with high trust levels. To meet these constraints various security measures are incorporated by WMSN designers that include data encryption, hashing, steganography, etc. these models provide high security but reduce the quality of service (QoS) due to their computational complexity. Moreover, these models have limited trustability and computational performance, due to their non-tamper proof and centralized processing characteristics. To improve the security and QoS performance of WMSN deployments, this text proposes a novel blockchain-based model that is based on a novel Proof-of-Trust and Speed (PoTS) based consensus method. this is a new consensus model developed solely for the design of the proposed WMSN, which is used to monitor the health status of patients in real-time with high security. the proposed model is capable of providing high trust, complete traceability, low delay, and distributed tamper-proof transactions. the proposed model evaluates temporal node performance and selects miner nodes that have higher trust and faster speeds. Nodes that showcased lower communication delay, with minimum packet drops and lower energy consumption were selected as miner nodes. these values assisted in the evaluation of temporal trust for every WMSN communication. Due to the incorporation of temporal trust and speed values, the model can reduce the number of redundant miner selection steps, thereby assisting in the design of an improved WMSN model. the model was tested on a wide variety of network scenarios, and it was observed to be 18% faster, with 5% lower energy consumption, and 8% better throughput than state-of-the-art methods. Furthermore, the model was also able to mitigate Sybil, Masquerading, and Spoofing attacks, which makes it highly deployable for a wide

Adversarial samples and attacks toward Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) are attracting more and more attention. However, few works have been done to visualize and analyze these processes. this paper proposes comprehensive visualization and analysis of the effect of Projected Gradient Descent (PGD) on the images, as well as the effect of adversarial training on the model. Specifically, the interim outputs of the images before and after the attack are compared, and the distribution of raw scores and location of activation are analyzed using Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping (GradCAM) and calculation of weights. this study is conducted on the ImageNet-1 K dataset, using DenseNet-121 as the model. Experimental results suggest that CNN is vulnerable to modified background, especially when the minor changes add up, making the raw score of the false label as large as the true one. After training the model with adversarial samples, the resistance to the attack significantly increases. this research contributes to the field of CNN and cybersecurity, provides several new ways to analyze CNN, deepens the understanding of attack and defense mechanisms, and paves the way toward a more advanced understanding of CNN. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

the work is devoted to the research and development of a software and hardware platform based on control methods of a spherical parallel mechanism (SPM) with tracking of changes in the position of a human head with the help of a camera and a computer using intelligent data *** article explores the relevance and advantages of SPMs, emphasizing their high precision, enhanced mobility, reliability, and lightweight design. the paper deals with an important aspect of controlling SPMs, which directly influences their performance. the control methods for SPMs vary based on the specific tasks and operational requirements, such as actuator-based control, sensor-based control, closed-loop control, and adaptive control are *** research additionally investigates the problems of forming tasks for SPMs and the need for improved methods, especially for applications involving human-robot interaction, dangerous works, and camera positioning tasks. To resolve these problems, the study proposed a software-hardware platform that remotely controls SPMs by tracking changes in the position of the human head using a camera and a computer. By employing OpenCV and Dilb libraries for face recognition and control point tracking, the proposed platform enables intuitive and clear control of the *** article presents the mathematical operations involved in calculating the rotation angles of the SPM based on the tracked human head movements. the obtained rotation angles serve as inputs for the servomotors, allowing precise control over the mechanism's *** results of the study demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed software-hardware platform in controlling the SPM based on human head movements. the platform's ability to accurately track and convert head movements into servo rotation values enables remote and intuitive control of the SPM, making it a promising direction for future research in the field of robotics and automation. © 2023 IEEE.

Understanding the driving environment is one of the key factors in achieving an autonomous vehicle. In particular, the detection of anomalies in the traffic lane is a high priority scenario, as it directly involves vehicle's safety. Recent state of the art image processing techniques for anomaly detection are all based on deep learning of neural networks. these algorithms require a considerable amount of annotated data for training and test purposes. While many datasets exist in the field of autonomous road vehicles, such datasets are extremely rare in the railway domain. In this work, we present a new innovative dataset relevant for railway anomaly detection called RailSet. It consists of 6600 high-quality manually annotated images containing normal situations and 1100 images of railway defects such as hole anomaly and rails discontinuity. Due to the lack of anomaly samples in public images and difficulties to create anomalies in the railway environment, we generate artificially images of abnormal scenes, using a deep learning algorithm named StyleMapGAN. this dataset is created as a contribution to the development of autonomous trains able to perceive tracks damage in front of the train. the dataset is available at this link.

As an important part of marine ecosystem, luminescent zooplankton is of great significance to the study of marine ecology and carbon cycle. the statistics of the number and size of luminous zooplankton is an important content of research. In recent years, the statistical methods of quantity and size based on visual image technology have attracted extensive attention. However, visual image technology has the problems of low accuracy, and can't deal with sensor noise and too close biological distance. In order to solve the above problems, a statistical method for the number and size of luminescent zooplankton in deep-sea is proposed based on the shape characteristics of luminous zooplankton and multi feature matching rules. through comparative experiments, the algorithm proposed in this paper has higher accuracy in quantity statistics and particle size calculation than other algorithms. © 2022 IEEE.

At present, wireless sensor networks are more and more favored by experts and scholars, and become a research hotspot in the field of sensing. sensor networks are mainly used in environmental monitoring, wildlife detection and so on. When a sensor node is in a fast-moving environment, the node needs to discover its neighbors as quickly as possible. therefore, neighbor discovery has attracted the attention of researchers. Neighbor discovery is an indispensable process in wireless sensor networks. Most of the current neighbor discovery designs are based on paired discovery and a fixed duty cycle. Only when two nodes wake up at the same time can they discover each other. this is completely passive neighbor discovery, and the network discovery delay is too large. And the nodes in the network are constantly moving. this is a challenging problem to reduce the discovery delay. this paper proposes a neighbor discovery algorithm (GDA, in short) that dynamically adjusts the wake-up time of nodes based on group spatial characteristics. At the same time, in order to effectively balance the relationship between energy consumption and discovery delay, a neighbor discovery algorithm that can selectively recommend method of neighbor nodes. this method can recommend suitable neighbor nodes and improve the early detection time. this paper elaborates the network model and algorithm implementation in detail. A large number of simulation results show that the algorithm has achieved good results in reducing discovery delay and network energy consumption. © 2022 ACM.

this work investigates the growing transformer-based structures and cutting-edge methodologies that extend beyond their use in the dynamic field of Natural Language processing (NLP). the study provides a comprehensive review of the literature, tracing the growth of NLP from rule-based systems to the breakthrough introduction of converter models. It stresses the importance of transformers in merging sequence processing, which has altered processes such as question-answering, sentiment analysis, and translation. Furthermore, the study investigates critical technological concerns such as model architecture optimization, effective training, cross-domain adaptation, and ethical considerations. Transformers must be tuned for various linguistic subtleties and task-specific complications during the model architecture optimization process. Model output and resource limits are supposed to be balanced through effective training and inference techniques. Model robustness to new or specific sectors is enhanced by cross-domain adaptability via transfer learning procedures. In Ecuador, insecurity and crime address a space that generates a lot of commotion in social networks. the data provided by the governments of the nations is not contrasted with what happens in public opinion. Today, information is very sensitive thanks to the use of social networks, where it is sought through a data analytics tool to measure the perception of insecurity of citizens. Based on the metadata offered by the Twitter API, we collect this information through an algorithm based on natural language processing (NLP) using Python, we generate a statistical report to understand the context of citizen perception. the results show that there is a high correlation of security factors such as theft, corruption, crime at the regional and territorial level, affecting the cultural, political and economic development of cities and countries. © 2022 Copyright for this paper by its authors.
