Software Define Network is a platform for network architecture used to create and design the virtual network hardware components, so it can be modified with dynamic connection settings with ease of implementation. the SDN controller is in charge of executing various network applications and preserving network services and functions. Due to the complication of the SDN architecture, the SDN faces numerous security challenges despite all of its incredible advantages. Because of its centralized and complex architecture, distributed denials of service (DDoS) attacks are frequent against SDN, particularly at the control layer where they can affect the entire network by using multiple resources at particular interval of time. machine learning methods are utilized to quickly detect these types of threats. In current work, machine learning approach is proposed to detect the DDoS attack in multi-controller SDN environment of SDN. Experimental results shows that machine learning technique provides better accuracy and detection rate.

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology has become increasingly popular in various applications due to its low cost, energy efficiency, and compact size. Its versatility extends into diverse fields, prompting further research beyond its initial uses. this study explores the application of commercial RFID antennas for estimating package orientation, focusing on Phase and RSSI values. By employing machine learning algorithms, we examined sixteen different configurations and orientations of the package. Our findings indicate that the optimal RFID tag location for pose estimation can achieve an 87.7% success rate, demonstrating that the best setup involves using one antenna and one tag. this research introduces a novel framework for posture identification, showcasing RFID technology as a vital tool for both traceability and monitoring.

the process of diagnosing diseases stands as a pivotal conduit for converting observed clinical evidence into precise disease appellations. Brain cancer, characterized by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells within the brain or its associated structures, is a relentless and complex disease that continues to pose significant challenges in the field of oncology. this abstract provides a concise overview of ongoing research efforts aimed at advancing our understanding of brain cancer and developing innovative approaches for early detection and more effective therapeutic interventions. Focusing on the domain of Brain Cancer, the author explores the application of machine learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Soft Computing (SC) algorithms to enhance the detection and diagnosis of brain cancer. In conclusion, the objectives of these explorations transcend mere technical validation. Rather, they are intrinsically motivated by the quest to discern the pragmatic feasibility and clinical utility of these advanced algorithms. this work explores the integration of Quantum machine learning (QML) with various applications in development of smart eco system, focusing on its potential to optimize various urban systems and address complex challenges. Mainly, we explored energy management and optimization techniques, considering Quantum Variational Algorithm (QVL). With this study we recognize that the integration of quantum machine learning approaches in smart city applications enhance the sustainability goals with comparison to the classical techniques. Further, we also investigated on how QML algorithms can revolutionize in various aspects in easing transportation, digital public services and policies, security enhancements, and urban planning, offering opportunities to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in urban environments. However, this study presents several challenges, including scalability limitations, data privacy concerns, and security vulnerabilities in smart cities. application of QML holds immense promise for urban innovation and transformation. As the manufacturing industry develops towards high precision and intelligence, CNC machine tools play an important role in production. the occurrence of failures not only reduces production efficiency but also increases costs. In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of fault prediction, this paper establishes an integrated learning model for CNC machine tool fault prediction by stacking ensemble learning algorithms and combining decision trees, support vector machine (SVM), random forests and other algorithms. the fault-related features are optimized through data preprocessing and feature engineering, and the results are finally obtained. the experimental results show that the ensemble learning model is superior to the single model in result indicators, especially recall rate and F1 score, reaching 0.6393 and 0.7027. this verifies that the ensemble learning model proposed in this paper has better performance in improving the performance of CNC machine tool fault prediction and can better solve the problems related to prediction in CNC machine tool faults. © 2025 SPIE.
