In this paper, a solution for an automated healthcare assessment process is proposed. Non-invasive, ambient sensors are retrieving data from patients being in their home care treatment setups. the type of sensors is limited to the tracking of inertia, motion, and alcohol gas. Low-cost sensor prototypes are developed. they constantly measure the movement and the air around the patients. the Big Data generated in this way is used to retrieve patterns of activities. Different patternrecognition algorithms are tested and compared. the highest accuracy and reliability in assessing the data are support vector machines and feedforward neural networks with a performance of 90 % probability in identifying the correct patients' activities over the test period. In this paper, the setup of the sensor prototypes, the data handling, and the data analytics are discussed.

the chemical state of lanthanum on the surface of La2O3-Mo cathode and its role in the emission stability improvement were analyzed. Single rate earth oxide of La2O3, Y2O 3, and Sc2O3 or a mixture of the oxides doped molybdenum cathodes were produced by powder metallurgy method. Computer patternrecognition technique was used to optimize the composition of the material and cathode preparation technique. It was found that among all the carbonized samples La2O3 and Y2O3 co-doped molybdenum cathode showed the best performance in the emission.

the classification of total load demand profiles for every type of war-ships is crucial information, because it is the necessary base for a series of studies and operations, such as load estimation, load shedding and power management systems. In this paper a patternrecognition methodology is presented, which is based on different patternrecognition methods, such as k-means, modified k-means etc. Each method can properly be optimized by using different adequacy measures, such as the ratio of within cluster sum of squares to between cluster variation. this methodology is applied to total load demand of Hellenic Navy MEKO type frigate indicatively and the usefulness of the respective results for the power system design and operation is proved.

Today, there is a clear trend to use more plastics and composites in engineering industry. the time to market for plastic injection products is becoming shorter and more crucial, thus the lead time available to making the injection moulds is decreasing. Proper design of the injection moulding is crucial to producing functional and quality plastic component. this will need an integrated optimizing of mould, process and material properties. To achieve mould and process optimization, early decisions in design process must be supported. this paper introduces a decision analyze approach to examine the best Praxis's of companies and use the results of analyzes to improve the computer supported mould design process. the patternrecognition technique is used together withthe questionnaires developed by the authors to evaluate technically and economically acceptable variations of different plastic product and injection mould parameters. To collect the information about best praxis's from different Estonian companies, the developed questionnaires were used.
