this paper proposes robot position control which employs force information to alleviate large force applied to an object operated in cooperative work between remote robot manipulate a remote robot having a force sensor by using a haptic interface device while watching video. the proposed control moves the robot by taking advantage of human perception of force direction which we previously clarified. By experiment, we examine the effect of the control for work in which the two robots carry an object together. Experiment results demonstrate that the control can largely reduce the force applied to the object as compared withthe case in which the control is not carried out.

In this paper, a feedback controller using the fuzzy Kalman filter that attenuates air-gap disturbance in a magnetic levitation system is proposed. One of the core technology of the magnetic levitation system is a levitation control to maintain a constant air-gap. the magnetic levitation system which shows unsatisfactory performance under air-gap disturbance due to rail irregularities is modeled. Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system is used for the modeling of a nonlinear magnetic levitation system, and the Kalman filter is utilized to improve the modeling results. In this sense the fuzzy Kalman filter is obtained. this approach can solve the problem by the conventional state-feedback control. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by simulation.

Despite the huge technological progress in digital control systems during the last decade, the problem of disabled people assimilating in modern society is still relevant due to the outdated technology in this area. One of the examples is the movement of visually impaired people. Nowadays, they use a white cane as a primary tool for interaction withthe environment. the problem withthis traditional technology is that the white cane does not give enough information about surrounding objects. thus, the main modifications of the white cane would consist of integrating the obstacle detection system based on ultrasonic sensors, and informing the user by audio signals. the obstacle detection system is consist of a number of ultrasonic sensors located at different angles. thus, they measure the distance from the cane to the ground. the data collected from the sensors, is analysed for three types of terrain: flat ground, small pit or hole, and stairs. In the case, when the sensors' reading does not match withthe reading from the flat ground, the system will alert the user by the audio signal.

Over the past few years, soft continuum manipulators gained popularity in advanced robotic systems due to its compliance and ability to execute different complicated tasks in an unstructured environment that are not possible with hard manipulators. In this field of soft robotics, series of experiments and revisions are usually performed first to come up with a nearly perfect hardware prototype. Only after these validations will simulations and kinematic modeling be performed. Recent advancement in the research field includes simulation using the combination of finite element analysis and a mathematical soft-ware for performing numerical iterations. this paper presents a kinematic modeling of a single link constant curvature continuum manipulator based on finite element analysis. the approach aims to demonstrate the capability of finite element analysis to do a "specific" modeling of soft continuum manipulator, i.e., pressure and actuator's length relationship. the result allows us to do complete simulation and modeling of forward and inverse kinematics even if a hardware prototype has not been constructed yet.

Cloud robotics supplements performance enhancement of robotics and autonomous systems by providing a global infrastructure in innovative ways. this paper summarizes recent research into five traits of Cloud robotics for performance enhancement in robotics and autonomous systems: 1) Remote Brain, 2) Big Data and Shared Knowledge-base, 3) Collective Learning, 4) Intelligence and Behavior, and 5) Cloud architectures. Commercial aircraft engines must be overhauled approximately every six years, during which hundreds of different parts must be disassembled, checked, and then reassembled. this includes undoing up to thousands of fasteners, cleaning, checking, refitting, and tightening them. Prior to refitting the fasteners, they must be classified and packaged. In this paper, we describe a system for classifying fasteners automatically, by use of computer vision and machine learning. Using the proposed system, we created sample datasets and performed a fine-grained visual categorization of the fasteners. Our trained model classifies 20 bolts and 14 washers with an accuracy of 99.4%. Our work is the first step towards an automated fastener classification system in overhaul processes.

the multi-energy optimal scheduling in the integrated energy system can adapt to the load demand in different scenarios and it is an effective means to promote the balance between supply and demand of the power grid, reduce cost, save resources and reduce environmental pollution. Withthe continuous improvement of real-time and reliability requirements for scheduling, situational awareness has become an inevitable requirement for its development. In this paper, the concept of situational awareness is proposed and its multiple time scale complementary characteristics are analyzed. Moreover, the situation awareness technology framework of the integrated energy system is proposed, and the mapping interaction and overall framework of its technical level in the process of operation are clarified. In the end, the key technologies in the realization process of the situational awareness of the integrated energy system are expounded based on the process analysis of the situational awareness of the integrated energy system.
