Load transfer is an important method for congestion management in high-voltage distribution network. functional units were proposed to express the topological structure of high-voltage distribution network (HVDN) in this paper. In addition, three types of logic constraints of functional units including sequence, mutual exclusion and orientation were established to facilitate minimal transfer, load curtailment and balancing with variables of transfer units instead of traditional switch status. the proposed model was verified using the practical HVDN of an urban power system in China. Simulation result shows that the proposed models can be efficiently solved by commercial software.

Currently, the methods for solving the planning of distribution network (DN) are meta-heuristic algorithms whose computational efficiency is low and the results are not accurate. therefore, this paper uses the advanced mixed integer linear programming (MILP) technology to model the multi-conductor DN planning containing the allocation of distributed generator (DG). Firstly, replace power flow calculation with an equivalent cone programming, then remove the product terms of binary and continuous variables, and finally use polyhedral models which are linear to approximate the planning model. In addition, as the siting and sizing of DG are added to the network planning, the situation that part of the loads are supplied by the DG separately perhaps appear thus leading to the appearance of loops. So the spanning tree (ST) constraints are introduced to the model to ensure the radiation of the DN. Finally, 23-node distribution system is used to simulate the above-mentioned model, and the results show the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed model.

the automatic voltage control (AVC) system provides real-time automatic control for the on-load transformer tap changer (OLTC) and capacitor/inductor banks, which is widely used for power system voltage monitoring and control in the regional grid. An advanced digital power system simulator (ADPSS)-based testing platform of the AVC controller is designed in this paper. the circuit model of the regional power grid is established, as well as the OLTC and the reactive power compensation devices. the data conversion interface is utilized for bidirectional data exchange from the remote meter and control signals between the ADPSS and the AVC system. the principle of the AVC voltage regulation and the ADPSS-based AVC testing platform are also introduced, followed by the data flow process of the OLTC and capacitor/inductor banks, which formulates the foundation for closed-loop testing of the AVC control system. To evaluate its rationality and availability, especially the effect of voltage regulation and control, an index system is established. Furthermore, functional modules of the assessment system and their implementation are presented. Test results show that all the modules in the assessment system possess good operational robustness and can perform automatic voltage control well on continually varying real-time simulated data of regional grid.

the paper establishes the objective functional model of sheet metal forming in drawing process with ANN, a mapping between sheet forming parameters and performance evaluation indexes was built, which provides important preferences for researching and optimizing these parameters. It obtains neural network model of high precision through the training of cross experiment method. At last a model was built. According to the test results, the error of the network were less than 5%.that means the network is available, and also it establishes foundation of the process parameters optimization. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

the virtual simulation experiment framework consists of hardware and software function modules, which are both designed in this thesis. the application of virtual experiment framework has changed the traditional teaching method to a large extent, reduced the cost of laboratory construction and management, which is of the first importance to realize the remote experiment teaching. through virtual experiments, students' interest in knowledge is cultivated and innovation ability is enhanced. With the National Instruments Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS) and LabVIEW, we could take advantage of graphical programming and a complete suite of standard test instruments on computer and directly interface these instruments to circuits, which is the base of virtual experiment framework. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In aim to gain the capability of providing variable thrust, the technology of an axial pintle inserted into the nozzle of the solid rocket motor had been used. As the pintle inserted into the nozzle, the loss of specific impulse will increase. In order to reduce the loss of fluid dynamics of the pintle nozzle, considering the interaction of the nozzle contour and the pintle contour, CFD method combined with the response surface method is used to optimize the contour of the pintle nozzle. the central composite design is used to introduce a design point;the Kriging algorithm is used to generate the response surface;and the Nonlinear programming by Quadratic Lagrangian is used for optimization. After the optimization, the loss of fluid dynamics can be reduced significantly. To study the influence of the key parameters to the loss of specific impulse, the key parameters are optimized independently in this paper. It indicates that the main factor of the loss of specific impulse is the parameters of the nozzle. To reduce the computational consumption, the process of optimization has been improved. And the result shows that when optimizing a pintle nozzle, the nozzle part and the pintle part can be optimized separately. the method that bases on the response surface not only takes into account of the interactive effects of the shape parameters, but also works with less calculation. Additionally it maintains the high accuracy and reliability. It can be used to select the optimal shape parameters of the pintle nozzle quickly, which has certain engineering application value. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

this study investigates tantalum oxide (Ta2O5) nanorods prepared by the dc magnetron sputtering with the glancing angle deposition (GLAD) technique. Silicon (100) wafer and glass slides were used as the substrates. the effect of the glancing angle varying from 73-87°, on the structural and optical properties were investigated by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM) and spectrophotometry. the results show that the deposition rate and diameter of Ta2O5 nanorod films were decreased with the increase in the glancing angle. At the highest glancing angle of 87°, the prepared Ta2O5 nanorod yielded the highest porosity from the vertically aligned columnar structure, and were must suitable for many functional applications. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

the fabrication of micro or nano-structures on quartz substrate has attracted researchers' attention and interests in recent years due to a wide range of potential applications such as NEMS/MEMS, sensors and biomedical engineering. Various types of next generation lithographic methods have been explored since optical lithography physical limitations has hindered the fabrication of high aspects ratio (HAR) structure on quartz substrates. In this research, the top-down fabrication approach was employed to fabricate microstructures on quartz substrate using Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) system, followed by the pattern transfer process using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Reactive Ion Etching (ICP-RIE) technique. the factors that influenced pattern definition include the type of electron beam (e-beam) photoresist, e-beam exposure parameter such as spot size, working distance, write field, step size, e-beam current, dosage as well as the type of developer and its developing time. the optimum conditions were investigated in achieving micro or nano-structures. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) with energy-dispersive Xray (EDX) and atomic force microscope (AFM) were utilized to characterize the structures profiles. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Various fermented soybean, as functional food products, are widely available in worldwide. Total phenolic and flavonoids contents containing in soybean are the potentially health benefit components. In addition, soybean fermentation could enhance the amount of these components. therefore this study is focused on comparison of total phenolic and flavonoid contents between fermented soybean processed by the application of Bacillus subtilis *** and soybean crude extracts that prepared by water and ethanol solvent. the total phenolic and flavonoid contents of fermented soybean crude extracts (FSB) were found significantly higher (p< 0.05) than soybean crude extract (SB). Ethanol FSB showed the highest total phenolic and flavonoid contents at 35.02±0.60 mg gallic acid equivalent/g extract and 14.02±0.66 mg catechin equivalent/g extract while as ethanol SB showed total phenolic and flavonoid contents at 16.94 ± 0.77 mg gallic acid equivalent/g extract and 8.77±0.21 mg catechin equivalent/g extract, respectively. In the same way, water FSB showed the highest total phenolic and flavonoid contents at 29.02 ± 1.37 mg gallic acid equivalent/g extract and 7.02 ± 0.61 mg catechin equivalent/g extract while as water SB showed total phenolic and flavonoid contents at 14.43 ± 0.77 mg gallic acid equivalent/g extract and 5.37 ± 0.24 mg catechin equivalent/g extract, respectively. In conclusion, the fermentation process could enhance total phenolic and flavonoid contents in soybean including ethanol extraction gave higher total phenolic and flavonoid contents in crude extracts. Furthermore, functional properties of both water and ethanol crude soybean extracts should be studied in vitro for beneficial in application in food products and dietary supplement in the near future. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
