this case focuses on the goal of building the school into a well-known university of applied technology with distinctive characteristics. It establishes a scientific and advanced education and teaching concept. According to the training goals and graduation requirements of computer majors, it focuses on the needs of the IT industry and combines the learner portrait project to carry out the teaching reform and practice of Python programming courses based on the integration of professional education and innovation and entrepreneurship education (IPEIEE). this study investigates the domain of advanced technologies and their appropriation to resolve challenges related to the supply chain. To be more specific, the lessons learned from two case studies of applying technology to enhance supply chain efficiency are Oliva Verde and Avocados Global. the former company had faced product adulteration and contamination that endangered customers' health. By leveraging blockchain technology, it incorporated unique digital fingerprints for each bottle to ensure full transparency, minimum fraud, and efficient logistics. the described solution was not without its downsides, including the difficulty of consolidating dispersed data and the challenges of system-wide scalability. In the same way, Avocados Global has employed a supply chain with recurrent temperature check-ups and control, live tracking, and predictive analysis to address the issue of its products' perishability and poor quality. While this technology has helped reduce waste, improve products' quality, and overall facilitate supply chain management, the investment and organizational changes required from the business were drastic. In conclusion, both companies have successfully overcome substantial economic and organizational challenges, developing unique and highly functional technological solutions that have enhanced their supply chain efficiency and marketability. At the same time, the study makes it evident that the systematic analysis of primary and secondary data, along with adopting the most advanced technologies and partnering with other market players, could eliminate most recurring challenges - thus, the topic of future research should be best practices and technological solutions to mitigate current challenges. © 2024 IEEE.

Data center optical networks need to periodically reconfigure the networks to deal with traffic changes. Prior to network reconfiguration, tenant requests are known. Adjusting tenant spectrum demand not only predicts application performance, but also improves network throughput. this paper investigates an adaptive spectrum time assignment (ASTA) problem in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing data center optical networks, which is modeled by Integer Linear programming (ILP). However, in large-scale networks, the ILP model cannot provide an optimal solution within an acceptable time. To address this problem, the most data volume first with an adaptive 90 rotation MDVFA90 R algorithm is proposed in this paper, which is a heuristic algorithm with an adaptive 90 rotation and can find a sub-optimal solution within a shorter time. Simulation results verify that the ILP model can provide an optimal solution for small-scale networks, while the MDVFA $90 R algorithm can provide a better sub-optimal solution for large-scale networks. © 2023 IEEE.

the paper concerns the development of the authoring application called AlgoPoint, which supports high school students in the process of learning programming. AlgoPoint is a block-based flowchart editor. It separates the syntax and semantics of the programming language from the actual control flow of the algorithm. In this way, students can focus on developing problem-solving skills, expressing a solution to a problem by building it using various functional blocks and connections. For more advanced users, mechanisms are available to build more complex data structures, functions, or subroutines, which can then be tested with the use of the built-in console or expressed as a text code in the selected programming language. the usefulness and advantages of the proposed application have been positively verified by students in real high school. the verification was conducted in natural conditions during computer science classes under the supervision of a teacher. this study systematically and comprehensively investigates the 3D printing process and mechanical properties of PLA/MWCNTS composite material using pneumatic extrusion. Mechanical test specimens were prepared utilizing a pneumatic extrusion 3D printing system, followed by conducting mechanical performance tests. the study focuses on assessing the influence of different material ratios on the strength of these specimens, employing a controlled variable method with varied printing paths. the results demonstrate a significant improvement in the mechanical properties of PLA printed specimens upon the addition of carbon nanotubes, indicating the promising potential of PLA/MWCNTS composite materials as functional materials for FDM technology. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Learning at Slovak primary schools in the last school years takes place in a combined form due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the distance form of teaching, it was possible to reduce the teaching hours and omit some parts of the study plan. Parts of the subjects often omitted were tied to practical lessons in special facilities, possibly to the use of specific equipment or tools, such as laboratory exercises and experiments, building and construction of robots, programming and physical education. Teachers opted the path of least resistance and often preferred to skip such topics. According to the state educational program in elementary school, it is necessary to develop algorithmic and programming thinking. For this purpose, thematic units focused on algorithmic problem solving and programming are used. the article brings the experience of the authors from the programming of robots in elementary school, which can be equally successfully implemented face-to-face as well as remotely using real or virtual robots. To revive learning and increase its effectiveness, the authors used modern teaching aid and digital educational technologies, which have also proven themselves in the distance form of education. We used virtual and augmented reality, worked in remote laboratories and used implementation of laboratory experiments using visualized simulation models and environments and emulation techniques. the authors report on their experience of teaching programming in primary schools using programmable toys, robots and microcontrollers. Simple tools (buttons marked with symbols) and an interactive environment that offers block or icon programming are used to program the movement and control the activities of such objects—robot toys and own constructed robots. Compiling a functional program does not require high analytical and abstract thinking. the program can be easily and interactively assembled from the offered building elements. this method makes programming more fun for

Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) hold immense potential for application in the subsequent LEDs because of their exceptional optoelectronic properties. Nevertheless, the presence of surface defects in PQDs leads to instability and leaves room for improvement. therefore, this paper reports a ligand modification method that stabilizes CsPbBr3 PQDs, with vinylphosphonic acid (VPA) serving as a functional ligand to regulate the nucleation and growth of PQDs during synthesis. PLQY reached as high as 81.8%. VPA also repairs surface defects on PQDs and enhances charge transport. the device brightness efficiency reached 13, 152 cd/m2. this strategy for ligand exchange maintained the dimensions and shape of CsPbBr3 PQDs, while also improving the optical characteristics and electrical conductivity of CsPbBr3 PQDs films. this work opens up a new pathway for achieving stable, high-performance LEDs using PQDs. 2025 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

this research conceptualizes a telemedicine framework that leverages the potential of Internet of things technology to improve on the availability and effectiveness of health services at lower costs to patients and medical facilities. this paper presents the use of sensors and wearable devices in the collection of patient data in real-time by analyzing the structure of the Internet of things, using the wireless communication technology in ensuring effective transmission. Massive data at the platform layer is smartly examined to offer users precise health management and decision-making assistance. the design of the system covers functional modules such as data collection, transmission, analysis and user interaction, and its effectiveness in the fields of chronic disease management, remote monitoring and postoperative care has been verified through application cases. Studies indicate that telemedicine solutions offer considerable benefits in enhancing the quality of life for patients and optimizing the distribution of healthcare resources. they are now a crucial factor in shaping contemporary healthcare models. the advancement of 5G network, along with artificial intelligence and big data technology, will enhance telemedicine systems' intelligence in disease prediction and personalized health management. these systems will integrate more deeply with smart homes and other city systems to enhance medical services. Seamlessly connect and extend to provide society with efficient and convenient health management solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

this research is aim to develop an urban street lamp monitoring system based on the Internet of things. through the in-depth study of the Internet of things technology and market demand analysis, the functional requirements and performance indicators of the system are determined. In the design process, the modular design idea is used to divide the system into several sub-modules, such as timer processing module, sensor group module, GPS positioning module, WiFi networking module and serial port printing module, and carry out detailed design and implementation. At the same time, in order to improve the stability and reliability of the system, a variety of technical means and various code-assisted debugging statements are used to optimize and improve. Finally, a city street lamp monitoring system with perfect function and stable performance is completed, and its feasibility and practicability are verified by computer experiments. the design of this topic not only improves the intelligent level of urban street lamp monitoring, but also provides a useful reference for the application of Internet of things technology in the field of urban street lamp service. However, there are still some limitations in this study, and the research scope can be further expanded in the future to optimize the solution. © 2024 IEEE.

this study aims to explore an educational learning environment that supports students to learn conceptual modelling with the unified modelling language (UML). In this study, we call the describing models "UML programming." In this paper, we show an educational UML programming environment for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) related subjects (especially for Technology or Engineering) in schools, which are able to apply from elementary school to university. At first, we explain why, what, and how doing the UML programming. In this study, we use a state machine diagram for UML programming. To draw this model, the students just put some states in rectangular shape and transitions in arrow shape. Two types of educational model notations in state machine diagram are introduced. then, some advanced functions of the SRPS are described. they are an educational model editor, and management of users, learning tasks and models submitted by students. Next, two case studies with the SRPS are shown. One case study is adopted to the summer camp for 5th- and 6th-grade students. the participants were 20 students and were engaged in 4 hours workshop. We used a car-type robot with two DC motors, a one-touch sensor, and one infrared sensor connected to a micro:bit. the other case study is a formal technology class at one Japanese public junior high school. One teacher and five classes worked on UML programming for traffic lights. Each class had 20 9th-grade students. One student at this school was given a traffic light robot with three Light-emitting diode (LED) lights, a one-touch sensor, and one infrared sensor connected to a micro:bit. Finally, on the basis of these two case studies using our environment, we discuss the potential for innovative STEAM education with UML programming. © 2022 Proceedings of the 19th international Conference on Cognition and Exploratory Learning in the Digital Age, CELDA 2022.
