Dependability is an intrinsic attribute of a system and a key decision factor for evaluating and accepting successful system performance. the dependability of a system is affected by different factors in different stages of its life cycle, and it must be properly managed. the key to achieve dependability is to adopt a life-cycle approach to obtain dependability. this paper analyzes the meaning of dependability life cycle, and on the basis of introducing the existing system, data and product life cycle models, constructs the system dependability life cycle model, including concept, development, realization, utilization and retirement/re-use of five life cycle stages. Considering the wide application of software system, the dependability life cycle model of software system is further studied and established. the implementation of dependability activities in each phase of the system life cycle can promote the realization of system dependability and create dependability value.

To prevent and limit the frequency avalanche, a complex of automatic frequency reduction limitation (AFRL) is used, namely its main component is under frequency load shedding (UFLS). the UFLS device is one of the emergency control (EC) devices, which is not provided as a separate component in some of the leading computersystems. In this paper, it is developed a component that implements the functions of under frequency load shedding in the power system. the introduced study briefly discusses the modeling of UFLS processes in the PSCAD/EMTDC software and testing the operation of the component developed by the authors.

Ensuring the well-being of foetuses during pregnancy is crucial for preventing child and maternal mortality, aligning withthe United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Utilizing a dataset of 2126 records from Cardiotocography (CTG) exams, obtained from the Kaggle repository, the study employs machine learning ensemble techniques, specifically stacking with 10x10 validations, to increase the classification of fetal health's precision and dependability. To address class imbalance, the dataset is resampled to 150%, and filter-based feature selection using the chi-squared statistical test is applied. Base models, including Decision Trees (C4.5), Random Forest (100 trees), Logistic Regression, and Sequential Minimal Optimization (SMO), are utilized. Withthe help of the Weka Machine Learning software tool, the ensemble model, after hyper parameter tuning and employing diverse techniques, with 98.68% accuracy, the model effectively classifies fetal health, indicating robust performance across various evaluation metrics.
