this paper presents a comprehensive study on the advancements and potential of industrial robots in the field of additive manufacturing of thermoplastics. As the manufacturing industry continues to embrace Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles, the integration of robotic systems has gained significant attention due to their flexibility, precision, and automation capabilities. this article explores the utilization of industrial robots in achieving free-form fabrication, particularly focusing on the additive manufacturing process for composite materials. It looks into the hardware setup, software systems configuration, and platform development that combines FDM with robotic arm technologies. It discusses the merits, limitations, and prospective uses of freeform additive manufacturing and the interoperability between traditional additive manufacturing and robotic additive manufacturing. the experimental results show that this integration is feasible and advantageous, with better process flexibility and production capacities when compared to typical FDM systems. the incorporation of Internet of things (IoT) devices and robotics into smart building environments has introduced new opportunities for human activity recognition (HAR). the paper introduces an innovative approach that combines IoT sensors and robotic data to create a complete dataset for Human Activity Recognition (HAR) in smart building settings. the system utilises a synchronised data collection technique to gather information from fixed IoT sensors, wearables, and smart devices, as well as from mobile robots. the dataset obtained includes a wide variety of sensor modalities, such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, microphones, motion sensors, smart plugs, and cameras (thermal, RGB-D). A proposed strategy is presented to tackle the difficulties of multimodal data fusion and classification by fusing all sensor data into a single machine learning model. this study lays the groundwork for future works into Human Activity Recognition (HAR) systems, which involve the integration of multi-sensor settings, sophisticated data fusion algorithms, context-sensitive identification, and tailored support for individuals working or residing in smart environments. the setup of the sensors and use cases of this study were conducted in a smart home environment. Nevertheless, the integrated system can be tailored to suit the requirements of any smart building.

Lane Change Prediction (LCP) is a pivotal component of Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS) which aims to enhance road safety and optimize traffic flow. Deep learning models have been used in LCP systems, but the need for extensive data poses privacy challenges in deploying such models. this paper aims to utilize Secure Multiparty Computation (SMPC) technique that allows multiple parties to jointly compute lane change probability using their private inputs without revealing sensitive information to each other. We trained Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) models on HighD dataset. In the inference part, Secure Tanh function was utilized for privacy-preserving LCP. Experimental results show that the accuracy of the proposed LCP based on SMPC is almost the same as the traditional LCP with unsecure computation, by calculating MSE for main function in non-SMPC and SMPC scenarios in the range of 10(-7).
