Credit card fraud poses a significant threat to the financial sector, resulting in substantial financial losses. this research investigates the application of advanced machine learning techniques to effectively detect fraudulent transactions. By utilizing a publicly available dataset, this study evaluates and compares various algorithms, including Random Forest, Decision Tree, and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). this research contributes to the advancement of fraud detection technologies by providing valuable insights into the effectiveness of different machine learning algorithms and the critical role of feature engineering. the findings highlight the need for resilient, scalable, and real-time mechanisms to combat evolving fraud strategies. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper presents the development of an advanced smart card with a fingerprint scanner. the stack of smart card protocols and the selection of a suitable location for the deployment of fingerprint scanner controls are described. the processes of activation of contactless and contact components of a smart card are described. A comparative analysis of existing types of fingerprint scanners is carried out as well as a search for an acceptable solution regarding its use in the development according to cost parameters and those of proper level of security and standard size of the sensor itself. New algorithms for initializing the card after the embedding of a fingerprint scanner into its composition are proposed, as well as the advantages of this approach in solving the problems of cards transfer to third parties, their retranslation and copying with regard to the used funds. the potential areas of application of this development and advantages of its introduction in relation to standard solutions are proposed. © 2023 IEEE.

the development of smart home gadgets improves the security level in the house and at same time introduces some risks with these devices which are not aware before. this research improves the security of smart locks by detecting anomalies in fingerprint data with k-Nearest Neighbors and OpenCV for fingerprint matching, ultimately catching all but some faked entries. It was composed by Arduino controller and the LCD for visual purposes. If the fingerprint entered incorrectly for three times in quick succession, the machine would automatically be alerted by a loud beep sound and simultaneously it accepts the data which is matched to the database. A multi-layered approach using smart technologies, computer vision and advanced hardware ensures a quicker response to abnormalities, addressing the emerging security challenges in today's intelligent homes. © 2024 IEEE.

smart contracts, pivotal to blockchain technology, automate contract enforcement with precision and reliability but are plagued by security vulnerabilities that have led to significant financial losses. Traditional methods like static analysis and fuzzy testing, though foundational, typically fail to grasp the complex logic of smart contract code, resulting in poor adaptability to the evolving landscape of blockchain applications. To address these challenges, this paper introduces an advanced Graph Neural Network (GNN) approach tailored for smart contract vulnerability detection on the VNT blockchain platform. Our methodology leverages the inherent structural and semantic relationships within contract code, transforming it into a graph representation for deeper learning. the enhanced GNN model effectively captures intricate patterns and dependencies that traditional methods overlook, significantly improving detection accuracy and efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach outperforms existing techniques, offering a promising avenue for both refining smart contract security analyses and guiding future development practices. We further contribute to the field by providing a robust dataset of smart contracts, fostering further research and application enhancements. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method not only advances the security of smart contract in VNT but also establishes a new benchmark for the application of deep learning in blockchain. Payment card tokenization is a process that replaces sensitive card (Credit/Debit) information with a unique identifier or token. this token is used for transaction processing, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and fraud. However, the current landscape is dominated by a few centralized entities, such as Visa, Mastercard, functioning as Token Service Providers (TSP). To address this, we propose a blockchain-powered decentralized tokenization system where a smart contract generates tokens based on predefined criteria. Decentralization ensures the system's robustness against attacks and offers transparent audit trails. Our prototype is built on the Ethereum platform, with smart contracts deployed on the Sepolia test network, allowing for performance evaluation and validation of the system's efficacy. © 2024 IEEE.

With the advancement of smart grid technology, distribution automation systems play an increasingly important role in improving the operational efficiency and reliability of power systems. In this study, an innovative low-power strategy optimization scheme is proposed for 5G RedCap (5G Reduced Capability), a key communication module in the distribution automation system, with special attention to its adaptability under different environmental conditions. By introducing the 5G RedCap communication module, the energy consumption reduction of distribution automation terminals during data transmission is investigated. Meanwhile, a Q-table based reinforcement learning algorithm is used to intelligently optimize the transmission strategy in order to enhance the adaptability and stability of the system under the changes of environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, electromagnetic interference and transmission distance. Simulation results show that the proposed low-power optimization strategy not only effectively reduces the system energy consumption, but also ensures the high efficiency of data transmission, providing technical support for the sustainable development of the smart grid. © 2024 IEEE.

According to the analysis of the research level of "smart pharmacy" at home and abroad, the research level of "smart pharmacy" in China is relatively backward, and the construction method of "smart pharmacy" is single and the popularity rate is low. At present, most of the primary medical institutions in our country still adopt the traditional pharmacy or HIS system pharmacy management mode, and a small number of large hospitals use automatic drug dispensing machine with rail transportation to improve efficiency. However, due to the disadvantages of high cost, large space and low flexibility, this method is not suitable for the vast majority of primary medical institutions in China. In the face of the current social form, the team analyzes and designs according to the needs of users, and uses artificial intelligence, Internet of things and other technologies to create a smart pharmacy management system that combines intelligent prescription management, intelligent prescription management, and intelligent drug management to meet the market demand and promote the development of the industry.

Several technologies have been introduced with the Industry 4.0 paradigm to help business stakeholders become smart and more productive. this research work focuses on the application of smart and digital technologies within the maintenance department, providing a preliminary analysis to better understand the advantages and disadvantages that can impact maintenance stakeholders' performance. After figuring out what emerging technologies are most used by each stakeholder working in the maintenance field, a literature review was conducted to analyze how Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) can support maintenance stakeholders during maintenance interventions: the Corrective and Preventive Actions (ACT) process contained in the UNI EN 17007 standard, i.e., the reference for maintenance processes and associated indicators, was considered. the results obtained from the literature search led to the creation of a framework, which investigates the use of Augmented and Virtual reality within the ACT process.

In the current scenario, finding the parking in full slot area is very difficult and also there is no online platform to check those parking slot availability details. the proposed system provides a parking slot availability information over phone and reducing a waiting time to check the availability. Using the 'smart parking system' the parking slot availability can be accessed easily over the internet. this system can completely automate the entry and exit of car and also payment process. the Node MCU ESP8266 is connected with IR sensors. the IR sensors will show the availability of the parking slot. the entry and exit gates are connected with servo motors. RFID scanner used to show the information of the user while entering. Online service software was used (Blynk app) it shows the slot through your mobile world. © 2024 IEEE.
