We give a process for verifying numerical programs against their functional specifications. Our implementation is capable of automatically verifying SPARK programs against tight error bounds featuring common elementary functions. We demonstrate and evaluate our implementation on several examples, yielding the first fully verified SPARK implementations of the sine and square root functions. the process integrates existing tools using a series of transformations and derivations, building on the proving process in SPARK where Why3 produces Verification Conditions (VCs) and tools such as SMT solvers attempt to verify them. We add steps aimed specifically at VCs that contain inequalities with both floating-point operations and exact real functions. PropaFP is our open-source implementation of these steps.

the implementation and current presentation of statistical analysis methods for encoding a message /converting code into plain text is proposed in this paper. Data using Format-Preserving Encryption(FPE) is discussed in this article. FPE converts plaintext of a specific format into a ciphertext of the same format - e.g., converting valid credit card number (CCN) into valid CCN. To defend confidentiality or own data, cryptography is commonly used in routine apps like internet transfers, VPN systems, file encryption, or complete hard drives. When introducing an FPE scheme, the data structure is maintained, database structures are improved to secure, and the database integrity is ensured. It is suitable for masking data. Data masking hides or replaces a unique data form with random data Ensuring Data Security in Databases Using Format Preserving Encryption. In this project, the FPE was designed based on a block cipher and used as the basis for data encryption the RC5 bit encryption because RC5 has the variable word size, round numbers, and secret variable key. Also, active or protected format protection encryption/decryption systems and quantitative input data must be implemented to improve data security or ensure accurate and confidential messages. this approach's implementation helps all forms of data formats, but this work analyzes numerical information methodology, like CCN. this is tested by RC5 on multiple CCN, symmetric key encryption algorithm. the execution time of FPE is 4934470 nanoseconds. the execution time of the proposed format preserved RC5 algorithm is very less in comparison to the existing AES+FPE approach. © 2021 IEEE.

the digital transformation of engineering documents is an ambitious research topic in the industrial world. the representation of component identifiers (tags), which are textual entities without a language model is one of the major challenges. Most of OCR use dictionary-based correction methods so they fail at recognizing hybrid entities composed by numerical and textual characters. this study aims to adapt OCR results on language-free strings with a specific semantics and requiring an efficient post-OCR correction with unsupervised approaches. We propose a two-step methodology to face the questions of post-OCR correction in engineering documents. the first step focuses on the alignment of OCR transcriptions producing a single prediction refined from all OCR predictions. the second step presents a combined incremental clustering & correction approach achieving a continuous correction of tags' transcriptions relatively to their assigned cluster. For both steps, the dataset was produced from a set of 1,600 real technical documents and made available to the research community. When compared to the best state-of-art OCR, the post-OCR approach produced a gain of 9 % of WER.

In this article, a deep-learning (DL) algorithm is proposed to efficiently predict the pattern of the antenna array. By establishing the Bayesian-optimized convolutional neural network (CNN) framework, the far-field radiation pattern of the array with arbitrary given array geometry is successfully predicted. Specifically, the CNN is utilized to predict the pattern from the input array geometry and element excitations. the Bayesian optimization algorithm is used to optimize the network architecture to enhance the fitting ability of the CNN. To validate the effectiveness, the proposed algorithm is employed to predict the shaped beam patterns for both linear and planar arrays with various array geometries. numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can predict the accurate direction pattern in ms time, and its response speed is more than 6 orders of magnitude faster than that of conventional full-wave simulation.

Based on the MIDAS-GTS numerical analysis platform, the construction characteristics of the left and right holes of the newly-built twin tunnel with a large section and a small distance were systematically analyzed, and the evolution laws of the displacement changes of the tunnel and the mid-rock pillar under the left and right full-section tunnel method were studied. the results show that: (1) with the increase of the lag distance, the surface settlement decreases gradually. When the lag distance is greater than 2.0D, increasing the lag distance has little effect on the maximum settlement value. (2) the maximum value of the surface settlement trough occurs between the left and right tunnels, which is the superposition area affected by the two tunnels. (3) the increase of lag distance has little effect on the final horizontal displacement of arch waist and mid-rock pillar. Considering that the influence range of face excavation on the surrounding rock of the tunnel is within 15m, the lag distance should not be too large and should not be less than 15m. (4) With the decrease of the lag distance, the superposition effect of the twin tunnel becomes more and more obvious. With the increase of lag distance, this phenomenon begins to weaken obviously, and obvious separation phenomenon appears. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

the main subject of this paper is the impact that manufacturing tolerances have on the cyclic performance of steel beams constructed with european I-shaped profiles, particularly in moment-resisting frames (MRF). the paper also examines the effectiveness of AL models in anticipating this behavior. Past research has shown that the behaviour of a structural steel member in bending is greatly affected by the variability of geometrical and material parameters. Most previous research that focused on the cyclic behaviour of MFR members used the nominal sections in their research, however regarding the geometry, in Europe, hot-rolled profiles, are produced with dimension tolerances that are specified and limited in the european standard EN 10034. In this research, a numerical study was performed to evaluate the influence of geometrical variability on the strength and deformation capacity of steel beams subjected to cyclic flexural loading conditions. For this purpose, an advanced finite element model was developed in Abaqus and validated against experimental test data. A parametric study was conducted in which the geometrical dimensions of the beam were considered as random input. Probabilistic distributions derived from experimental data were defined for each of the 6 random input variables associated with the cross-section dimensions. then a total set of 1600 samples were generated using Latin Hypercube sampling for a range of profiles (IPE300 to IPE600) with different lengths to evaluate the effect of dimension tolerances on the behaviour of beams. the results showed that the variability in beam behaviour is significant and can cause over strength or reduced ability of steel members to deform under load, resulting in less ductile behaviour. then using AI techniques, some models developed to predict maximum moment and rotation capacity of beams. Clogging is often observed in the improvement of dredged fills using the vacuum pressure combined prefabricated vertical drains. Due to the clogging at the drain, vacuum pressure needs some time to achieve the target value, and the magnitude of the pressure reduces along the drainage path in the spreading process. In this study, a large strain consolidation model is built under boundary conditions varying with time and distance to the vacuum connector. the model is solved by a numerical method to compare the total consolidation and the radial distribution of excess pore water pressure under different boundary conditions. the large strain consolidation model is also compared with results of small strain consolidation and measurements in field tests with the variation of vacuum pressure considered. Based on the comparisons, it is found that time-dependent variation makes impacts on the rate of consolidation, and the distance-dependent variation affects the ultimate consolidation results. © 2021, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

this article provides an overview of the various techniques used to measure the salt content of building materials. the authors discuss the importance of salinity measurement, as high salinity can lead to degradation and damage in building materials. they then consider the traditional methods of salinity measurement, including conductivity measurement and chemical titration. While reliable, these methods are often time-consuming, destructive and may not provide a complete picture of the salt distribution within the material. the authors then focus on emerging non-destructive techniques that offer the potential for in-situ salinity measurement. these include X-ray Dffraction (XRD), thermal Analysis and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Each method is discussed, with the authors highlighting its advantages, limitations and potential applications. the article concludes with a discussion of the future of salinity measurement in building materials. the authors propose a multimodal approach combining traditional and new methods to achieve more accurate and comprehensive salinity measurements. they also emphasise the need for further research and development in this area, particularly to improve the accuracy and reliability of non-destructive techniques. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

the reconstruction and expansion of expressways is an important means, and how to control the settlement deformation of the subgrade width is an urgent problem to be solved. Step splicing is an effective means to control settlement. therefore, it is very important to study the size of the steps. Expansion is based on engineering. through literature research, numerical simulation and other research methods, combined with theoretical knowledge of soil mechanics, the settlement control of widened roadbed in highway reconstruction and expansion is studied, and the following conclusions are obtained: (1) three different types are studied. the deformation law of subgrade and foundation top surface of step size;(2) A combined subgrade step excavation method is proposed, which provides a reference for similar projects. (3) the method of excavation and splicing of combined subgrade steps was verified, and the correctness of combined subgrade excavation and splicing was verified. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Electrothermal technologies, in particular induction heating, can play an important role on improving performance and quality in brazing and soldering metal joints. Induction heating, in comparison to other industrial heat treatments for brazing processes that are traditionally based on open flames, allows to induce heat inside the workpiece, reducing process time, with fully controllable and repeatable processes. the development and design of induction heating processes for brazing homogeneous or heterogeneous metal joints can be carried out by means of finite elements models and simulations. numerical methods allow for an optimal design of all the parameters that affect the process. this way the technical requirements of brazing metal joints can be fulfilled by setting process recipes, inductor shapes and power requirements, considering at the same time all the constraints related to the integration of the induction heating system on production lines. In this paper, a specific application of induction brazing technology, the brazing of small diameter tubes on larger pipes, is presented to describe the applied design procedure. Different base metals have been considered, considering the same metal for the small and big tube as well as tubes of different material. the whole process of finite element simulation is described, starting from geometry definition, models of relevant properties of joint materials and filler metal, by resorting to coupled electromagnetic and thermal analysis, carried out through electromagnetic steady state sinusoidal solutions coupled with time dependant thermal model. Simulation results are compared with experimental data obtained from field tests conducted on metal joints brazed using the same inductors and process recipes as defined during the simulation stage. © 2022 Quaker Houghton.
