As the age profile of various societies keeps going up all over the world, in addition to the continuous surge in the populace suffering from long term illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular problems, obesity, etc. supporting and providing healthcare services, both physically and mentally, is of utmost importance in order to assure and maintain independent living. So, regular and uninterrupted health monitoring is evidently an assured and functional solution that can methodically deliver health-related services to elderly people and patients. the emergence of the sensor based technologies has given rise to immense possibilities in the domain of healthcare. Also, it has been adopted precisely in the construction and deployment of healthcare systems for effective regular health monitoring, illness diagnosis and further treatment. this paper proposes a semantic driven healthcare framework in which an ontology is developed that conceptualises the process of disease detection on the basis of dynamic sensed clinical data. the proposed system provides semantic interoperability by handling the issue of heterogeneity and promoting exchange of consensual knowledge. Our work designs reasoning rules over the semantic knowledge base for classification and disease detection task. Further, the model is validated by deploying semantic querying to retrieve desired results. the results portray the potential and efficiency of the proposed ontology based system to grow into a more sophisticated approach for healthcare monitoring and treatment. © 2020 ieee.

Water quality prediction is a basic work in water resource management. High performance computing and communications (HPCC) provide conditions for accurate water quality prediction. Water quality data are time and index correlated. In the meantime, the water quality data at different time contribute differently to the prediction result. According to these characteristics of water quality data, a water quality prediction approach based on t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE) and self attention- bidirectional long short term memory neural network (SA-BiLSTM) is proposed in this paper. First, according to the index correlation of water quality data, a water quality feature extraction algorithm based on tSNE is proposed to obtain the effective features. Second, according to the time correlation and time difference of water quality data, a water quality prediction model based on SABiLSTM is established to predict the water quality accurately. Finally, the proposed approach is tested in two actual water quality datasets: Victoria Bay and Tai Lake. Experimental results show that compared with the state-of-the-art approaches, the proposed approach can make full use of the characteristics of water quality data to obtain better prediction performance.

Apart from being standardized, an important industrial advantage of the IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks (RPL) is the possibilities of completely adapting its route formation criteria. through largely open routing metrics and route selection delegated to so-called objective functions, RPL's adopters are free to customize the protocol to individual applications, even ones with peculiar requirements. However, these possibilities also pose a major reliability risk: it is not clear whether a given combination of routing metrics, objective function, and RPL's remaining configuration parameters ensures that the resulting routes will be formed correctly when the routing metric values change dynamically. We study this problem here to derive conditions for routing metrics and objective functions under which routing path construction and maintenance can be proved correct. We start with a case study, based on an industrial deployment, that motivates the considered problem. We then formally model and analyze the dynamic behavior of RPL's route formation process in abstraction from particular objective functions and routing metrics. We derive conditions under which this process is provably correct. Finally, we attempt to translate these theoretical conditions into practical guidelines that can be utilized by RPL's adopters who aim at reliable systems.

Big data analytics, in essence, is becoming the revolution of business intelligence around the world. this momentum has given rise to the hype around analytic technologies, including Apache Hadoop. Hadoop was not originally developed with security in mind. Despite the evolving efforts to integrate security in Hadoop through developing new tools (e.g., Apache Sentry and Ranger) and employing traditional mechanisms (e.g., Kerberos and LDAP), they mainly focus on providing encryption and authentication features, albeit with limited authorization support. Existing solutions in the literature extended these evolving efforts. However, they suffer from limitations, hindering them from providing robust authorization that effectively meets the unique requirements of big data environments. Towards covering this gap, this paper proposes a hybrid authority (HBD-Authority) as a formal attribute-based access control model with context support. this model is established on a novel hybrid approach of authorization transparency that pertains to three fundamental properties of accuracy: correctness, security, and completeness. the model leverages streaming data analytics to foster distributed parallel processing capabilities that achieve multifold benefits: a) efficiently managing the security policies and promptly updating the privileges assigned to a high number of users interacting with the analytic services; b) swiftly deciding and enforcing authorization of requests over data characterized by the 5Vs; and c) providing dynamic protection for data which is frequently updated. the implementation details and experimental evaluation of the proposed model are presented, demonstrating its performance efficiency.

One of the promising research areas within the framework of this concept is smart homes, and, more broadly, smart cities, associated with increasing the values of such parameters of housing and utility services as energy efficiency, resistance to failures, failing and efficiency in general. this article is devoted to the development of an information system for monitoring, remote management and maintenance of engineering systems at the housing infrastructure facilities. the functions of information system include the operational status control of engineering systems on housing infrastructure objects, support, maintenance, repair, prediction and alerts on routine, unplanned and critical situations. this system is based on the concept of " Dew computing - Fog computing - Cloud computing" and is designed to collect and process Big Data, collected via the Internet of things.

Synchronized communication has recently emerged as a prime option for low-power critical applications. Solutions such as Glossy or Time Slotted Channel Hopping (TSCH) have demonstrated end-to-end reliability upwards of 99.99%. In this context, the IETF Working Group 6TiSCH is currently standardizing the mechanisms to use TSCH in low-power IPv6 scenarios. this paper identifies a number of challenges when it comes to implementing the 6TiSCH stack. It shows how these challenges can be addressed with practical solutions for locking, queuing, scheduling and other aspects. With this implementation as an enabler, we present an experimental validation and comparison with state-of-the-art MAC protocols. We conduct fine-grained energy profiling, showing the impact of link-layer security on packet transmission. We evaluate distributed time synchronization in a 340-node testbed, and demonstrate that tight synchronization (hundreds of microseconds) can be achieved at very low cost (0.3% duty cycle, 0.008% channel utilization). We finally compare TSCH against traditional MAC layers: low-power listening (LPL) and CSMA, in terms of reliability, latency and energy. We show that with proper scheduling, TSCH achieves by far the highest reliability, and outperforms LPL in both energy and latency.

We show that a multihop wireless network can achieve better bandwidth and routing stability when transmission power and routing topology are jointly and adaptively controlled. Our experiments show that the predominant 'fixed and uniform' transmission power strategy with 'link quality and hop distance'-based routing topology construction loses significant bandwidth due to hidden terminal and load imbalance problems. We design an adaptive and distributed control mechanism for transmission power and routing topology, PC-RPL, within the standard RPL routing protocol. We implement PC-RPL on real embedded devices and evaluate its performance on a 49-node multihop testbed. PC-RPL reduces total end to-end packet losses 7-fold without increasing hop distance compared to RPL with the highest transmission power at heavy load, resulting in 17% improvement in aggregate bandwidth and 64% for the worst-case node.

Consider the problem of energy loss caused by inefficient use of energy in Wireless sensor Networks (WSN). A clustering energy-efficient transmission protocol for wireless sensor networks based on ant colony path optimization (CEETP-ACPO) is proposed. Firstly, use the distributed cluster computing energy-efficient routing scheme (DCCERS) to select cluster heads according to the center of gravity and the energy of nodes in the reachable range of nodes, then sensor nodes are clustered. Secondly, by using the improved ant colony path optimization algorithm, the optimal path is selected by the next-hop range of nodes controlled by the ring-angle search model and the transition probability calculated by the path pheromone, distance and current energy of the node. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed protocol.
