GPS localization is the technique of using the GPS (Global Positioning System) to pinpoint the exact location of a device or object on the surface of the planet. Due to a variety of circumstances, including satellite geometry, signal blockage, atmospheric conditions, multipath effects, and several other causes, GPS signals can occasionally experience mistakes and inaccuracies. In road networks, GPS localization methods primarily target on-road cars. Several GPS localization methods are used frequently in road networks in the modern era, including Differential GPS (DGPS), Dead Reckoning, sensor Fusion, Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS, and map-matching. the technique that is used is determined by the application needs, such as precision, dependability, and availability of GPS signals, as well as by the infrastructure and financial constraints that are in place. this paper offers an evaluation of various GPS localization methods that are frequently utilised in road networks along with some of the challenges faced in using these techniques. © 2023 ieee.

distributed systems use consistent hashing algorithms to solve load balancing problems because of their good balance, minimal interruptions, and high query rates. However, existing algorithms fail to maintain consistency under changes, require high memory for high query rates, or have poor scaling. therefore, we propose consistent AreaHash, which virtualizes the hash space into a ring. the logically ordered ring nodes occupy the same area, allowing the AreaHash to expand the nodes without any change. the key calculated using the hashing algorithm can be mapped to a node by a simple shift calculation, reducing memory requirements. We make a reasonable theoretical analysis and perform high-level algorithm implementation with a memory footprint of only a few bytes per node. Experimental results indicate that AreaHash achieves a lookup rate of more than 40 million keys per second, even when the number of nodes on a single CPU exceeds one million. In addition, a lookup rate of more than 20 million keys per second is achieved when more than half of the nodes in the cluster are down. © 2022 ieee.

the primary aim is to Minimizing energy consumption and increasing the durability of the sensor network. the implementation of hierarchical routing can efficiently decrease energy usage within a cluster through the process of data aggregation and fusion, ultimately leading to a reduction in the number of messages transmitted to the base station. the generation of optimal clusters is contingent upon the execution of cluster head selection and cluster formation procedures. It is recommended to minimize the quantity of messages exchanged while simultaneously ensuring that the overall time complexity remains stable and unaffected by the expansion of the network. the objective of this investigation is to optimize energy efficiency through the elimination of the setup phase for cluster head selection, which is based on the criterion of maximum residual energy. Instead, the study proposes to proceed with the steady phase until the average energy of the cluster is attained. the principal objective of this study is to enhance energy efficiency and prolong the longevity of the network. Numerous techniques have been proposed for the purpose of optimizing energy, such as LEACH, HEED, and EECS. However, our proposed approach is deemed superior and more precise. A comparative analysis has been conducted to support this assertion. © 2023 ieee.

there are some major deficiencies in existing models of modern water purifiers such as when water purification motor runs in spite of having no water inlet results in burning of the motor circuit. the first module of the invention solves this problem by checking the flow of water inlet using Water Flow sensor and sends signal to user's smartphone when water flow anyhow stops. User can then cut power flowing to the motor. this will also prevent the wastage of electricity that is going to be used by the motor. Now, in almost every purifier, the purifying device runs on its own and have fixed parameter of water level on which it runs. But it results in wastage of electricity and potential of purifier. So, this invention will use ultrasonic sensor that calculates the water level and user can dynamically set the water level parameter on which the purifier will run. And in normal purifiers, we get the fixed water purifying rate and speed which does not vary on the basis of water quality and ultimately reduce the performance level of the purifier. therefore, this invention will use a smart regulator connected with our mobile device through cloud and by which user can control the purifier's rate and speed according to the water quality. Smart water purifier is equipped with a Water Flow sensor which will check the flow of water through inlet, an Ultrasonic sensor which measures the level of water purified by the purifier, a pH-rod to check the quality of water and a 16 × 2 LCD Module to display the readings of the sensors.. © 2023 ieee.

Ensuring data security in WSNs (Wireless sensor networks) has been a persistent issue. the absence of a reliable mechanism to secure data poses a serious threat to the integrity of information. Also, the quality of services provided by WSNs is poor. Hence, there exists a need for a new technological paradigm that can address these shortcomings of WSNs. In this regard, Li-Fi technology emerges as a highly relevant wireless communication technology. this research paper focuses on the integration of Li-Fi with WSNs and analyses its performance using the software: Opti System, used for analyzing the communication system. In this paper, three models: the LOS model, the single LED non-LOS model, and the double LED non-LOS models have been considered and the LOS model has been found best with an eye height of 1.050 due to which it leads to minimum distortion and noise as compared to the other two, which are non- LOS models. © 2023 ieee.

In current Datacenter Networks (DCNs), Equal-Cost Multipath (ECMP) is a default load balancing scheme. However, using ECMP may result in rapid growth of Flow Completion Time (FCT) due to its well-known drawbacks. In order to solve the problem of ECMP, load balancing schemes with per-packet granularity (such as RPS) and per-flowlet granularity (such as LetFlow) are proposed. these two different granularities have their own features, but there's no existing load balancing considering both their advantages. In this paper, we mix per-flowlet and per-packet in scheduling decisions and introduce the potential performance bottleneck in mixed granularities load balancing. Based on this idea, we propose a hybrid scheme for load balancing, referred to as BOBBLE. the key idea of BOBBLE is to distinguish elephant and mouse flows and schedule them with different granularity. We evaluate BOBBLE in simulations with NS-3. Experiment shows that BOBBLE slightly sacrifices elephant flows FCT but it is worthy because our results demonstrate that BOBBLE is a good trade-off which outperforms RPS and LetFlow in mouse flows FCT in both symmetric and asymmetric topology. © 2021 ieee.

Autonomous vehicles (e.g., UAVs and UGVs) combined with wireless communication systems can improve the efficiency and security of industrial plants. In this paper, we present an experimental characterization of the link's reliability between a moving interrogation platform exploiting the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and sensor nodes distributed in a challenging environment like an industrial Oil&Gas site. By selecting adequate antennas and scanners' paths, a stable link, with a probability higher than 90% to read all the nodes with at least 5 readings, can be achieved despite of the multiple reflections due to metallic infrastructures. Furthermore, the proposed architecture is lightweight, with a trifling power consumption and thus suitable to be integrated into drones and rovers. © 2023 ieee.

Urbanization has caused a surge in the number of vehicles, which has exacerbated parking problems in densely populated areas. this study examines the role of automatic parking sensor technology in addressing these challenges by improving parking space utilization, reducing the time spent searching for parking, and mitigating traffic congestion. the research uses a systematic literature review (SLR) approach to analyze relevant studies on the components and implementation of parking sensor systems in urban settings. Furthermore, a Python-based simulation was conducted to demonstrate the functionality of automatic parking sensors. the simulation effectively shows real-time parking space detection and availability updates using sensor data. the findings suggest that automatic parking sensors can significantly optimize parking space management and reduce parking search time. However, challenges such as technological integration, data security, and system maintenance must be addressed for broader adoption. Future research should focus on refining sensor accuracy and developing scalable communication protocols. © 2024 ieee.

the integration of large amount of distributed power generation from renewable resources like solar and wind brings new challenges to power forecasting in both short-term and long-term time scales. distributed power generating units characterized by increased variability and uncertainty among different sites, necessitates collaborative data analysis. And regional variations and simultaneous predictions for multiple sites should also be accounted. this paper proposes a time series forecasting model based on the combination of graph neural network (GNN) and Transformer-Encoder, which is used for long-term and short-term accurate forecasting of renewable energy. It combines temporal convolutional models, graph convolutional neural network, and Transformer-Encoder. this scheme first uses the temporal convolution model to extract short-term and time-dimensional features of time series data, and then replaces the ordinary graph learning layer with Transformer's Encoder layer to further extract the long-term and global features of time series data, and then converts the generated the adjacency matrix is input into the graph convolution module to extract information about its spatial dimensions. Simulation results on an open-source dataset verify that the model is effective and accurate in short-and long-term renewable energy forecasting. © 2023 ieee.
