Multi-agent collaboration enhances situational awareness in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Ad hoc networks of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) allow for real-time data sharing, but they face security challenges due to their decentralized nature, making them vulnerable to cyber-physical attacks. this paper introduces a trust-based framework for assured sensor fusion in distributed multi-agent networks, utilizing a hidden Markov model (HMM)-based approach to estimate the trustworthiness of agents and their provided information in a decentralized fashion. Trust-informed data fusion prioritizes fusing data from reliable sources, enhancing resilience and accuracy in contested environments. To evaluate the assured sensor fusion under attacks on system/mission sensing, we present a novel multi-agent aerial dataset built from the Unreal Engine simulator. We demonstrate through case studies improved ISR performance and an ability to detect malicious actors in adversarial settings.

In the age of the Internet of things (IoT) and the expanding computing continuum, it’s crucial to manage and share resources at the edges of networks. this position paper presents a new concept known as ’semantic slicing’. this approach harnesses the power of artificial intelligence (AI), wireless networks, edge computing, and sensing technologies to enable novel applications, optimize resource allocation, and streamline data processing and decision-making across complex systems spanning the computing continuum. Semantic slicing applies a deep understanding of the data and specific application requirements to intelligently allocate resources and distribute processing tasks in the computing continuum. this strategy allows for the creation of systems that are not only more efficient and responsive, but also better equipped to adapt to a variety of applications and services.

Differential Evolution (DE), the evolution algorithm (EA) in the repository of evolutionary computing (EC), is known for its simplicity and adaptability to high performance computing paradigms. the distributed algorithmic frameworks of DE are the natural extension of DE, as DE is highly suitable for parallel and distributed computing. this paper proposes a study on implementing an enhanced distributed differential algorithm framework (named as mtdDE - multithreaded distributed DE) with multi-threaded islands in a distributed framework, to attain maximum level of data parallelism. the main objective of mtdDE is to reduce the computation time and to improve the solution quality for the targeted optimization problems. this paper presents this study in two phases. the Phase I implements the traditional distributed DE (dDE) framework and compares its performance with a state-of-the-art distributed DE, on a set of 8 benchmarking functions. In Phase IT the proposed mtdDE was implemented and its performance was compared with the dDE on a set of 4 benchmarking problems. the performance metrics considered were - the objective function values (ofv), the mean objective function values (mov), the execution time (et) and the average execution time (ad). the results acquired for the performance metrics of the dDE and mtdDE were studied, and the study revealed that the mtdDE outperforms the dDE in terms of both the solution accuracy and the computation time. the detailed discussion about the algorithmic structure, the experimental setup, the results obtained and the comparative study were presented in this paper.

Industrial Wireless sensor Networks (IWSNs) have come to be widely used for collecting industrial information due to their low cost, rapid deployment, and high service quality. Clustering sensors together extends the lifetime of IWSNs is an essential part of improving their energy efficiency and network stability. In this paper, we propose a novel Multi-Objective Cluster Head Selection Optimization Model (MOCHSOM) to improve the selection of cluster heads by taking into account multiple factors critical to the IWSNs lifetime. Specifically, our model minimizes the total network energy consumption, balances the network cluster energy consumption, and maximizes the network node alive time. Moreover, we employ an Evolutionary Algorithm using Reference-point Based Non-dominated Sorting Approach (NSGA-III) to optimize the MOCHSOM model further. the experimental results show that our proposed algorithm significantly improves the network lifetime when compared with conventional clustering algorithms. © 2021 ieee.

ieee 802.15.4 is the Body sensor Networks (BSNs) de facto standard that defines the requirements of these networks' implementations, protocols, and architecture. In orchestrate sensor node connection, the MAC protocol is required in the wireless medium of communication. While ieee 802.15.4 MAC is characterized by a collection of robustness that has led to its popularity in different BSNs, many limitations play a significant part in deteriorating its performance. Also, the ieee 802.15.4 based networks are commonly implemented in the proximity of other wireless networks operating in the same ISM band from a realistic point of view. this implementation ensures the MAC layer for ieee 802.15.4 should be enabled for other networks to cope with interference. these factors have inspired efforts to improved MAC protocols of BSNs for ieee 802.15.4. A Wireless sensor populated in sensor nodes deployed Network (WSN) could be considered as a scattered data repository which gets in remote locations powered by limited batteries. To retrieve data from these nodes query processing techniques are used. As the applications of WSN are found in remote locations and extreme weather conditions the replacement or recharge of battery is impossible. Henceforth, it is highly required to conserve the battery power in order to increase the network lifetime. Among the sensing, storing, transmitting and receiving activities of sensor nodes, data communication is the most dominant energy consuming activity. Hence query optimization techniques are in huge demand in WSN. this paper presents the prominent query optimization algorithms that are used in WSN to address the issue of energy efficiency. the purpose of this review is to give an overview of the existing literature and research issues in query optimization techniques in WSN. © 2021 ieee.

Indonesia is an agricultural country with agriculture as one of the mainstays of state income. However, the competition for agricultural production is currently very high, so it requires innovations in agricultural technology to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian food production. One of the latest agriculture technologies is Greenhouse. With Greenhouse, it is possible to adjust temperature conditions, room humidity and other plant parameters. In Indonesia, this technology has begun to be widely used but is still very limited due to technological constraints and high costs. In a greenhouse, some tools monitor plant parameters to support plant growth, such as water pumps, sensors, dynamos, and sprays. However, currently, there are still many greenhouses that operate these tools conventionally. this causes greenhouse operations to take a long time and a lot of labor, so greenhouse operations are expensive and complicated. therefore, Greenhouse innovation is needed with a flexible, easy and efficient system. In this research, innovation will be carried out with a Greenhouse monitoring system by implementing the WSN (Wireless sensor Network). In addition, the use of sensors with auto flushing is done to prevent encrustation on the sensor surface. Using WSN will increase the flexibility of data transmission and minimize energy use so that it can be applied in remote areas. Room temperature is also connected with a blower as an automation mechanism to maintain wind circulation in Greenhouse. the monitoring of plan nutrition in the Greenhouse is very important that why this research also study it. © 2022 ieee.

Energy optimisation using clustering remains a constant challenge in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). the high volume of data generated within these networks leads to excessive energy consumption when transferring it to the processing center. therefore, clustering protocols, in particularly hierarchical routing protocols dedicated to WSNs, must imperatively integrate energy efficiency mechanisms in order to extend the functional lifetime of the nodes and the network. In this paper, we focus on an in-depth analysis of scalability in the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol. the LEACH protocol, renowned for its random and distributed approach to WSNs energy optimisation, forms the focus of our analysis and exploration. Our study focuses in particular on the quantitative scalability of nodes and the scalability of geographical coverage. the aim is to improve our understanding of the behaviour of the LEACH protocol in large-scale environments, particularly with regard to node and network lifetime and energy management parameters.

Based on blockchain technology and interstellar file systems, this paper proposes a domain name system (DNS), in which the domain specific names of important institutions and organizations are permanently and safelyidentified in the super account management system in the form of transaction, so as to realize the naming on the blockchain, while the domain names that need to be expanded by institutions, teams and individuals adopt the distributed storage under the chain to form a DNS system architecture with the combination of online blockchain and offline blockchains. this paper analyzes the specific deployment of the architecture and the implementation of domain name management in detail. the domain naming management for organizations on the chain is based on a fabric alliance chain, while the extended domain naming data management under the chain uses distributed file storage technology to store, update and query the extended domain names. At the same time, the hyperledger on the chain is used to establish the trust chain of signature verification for the extended domain names and the extended domain name data files. Finally, it ensures the scalability of the whole domain name system and the efficiency and security of domain name resolution dynamically. © 2021 ieee.
