this paper focuses on an embedded system for air quality control and hazardous gas detection using multiple sensors to trigger real-time danger alerts. the system employs and integrates gas sensors MQ-2, MQ-3, and MQ-9, temperature, and humidity sensors for assessing many combustible gases including methane, carbon monoxide alcohol smoke and even fire. these sensors send signals to an embedded microcontroller which controls air and environmental quality for the circumferential range. Apart from the gas sensors, a fire sensor has been integrated within the system, improving its efficiency in ascertaining cases of fire outbreak in the presence of gas leakages. In addition to this, Power BI works with the system for sensor monitoring and data visualization through the sensors being connected online. the dashboard shows the most important parameters such as the level of gas leakage and the type of gas involved, the temperature of the surroundings, and the humidity. Power BI supports how to visualize what is going on at that time to monitor environmental conditions, how bad is the gas leakage, and make quick decisions. the dashboard also helps in looking out for risks by showing past trends of data and carrying out market predictions. the integration of multi-sensor systems with a drone is intensified to outstretch the boundaries even further where remote monitoring of industrial sites, areas that have been hit by disasters, and even of cities, is possible. the drone equipped with the embedded system provides the real time gas leak detection temperature, humidity monitoring and fire threat assessment in environments where the human presence is quite dangerous. this system is also easy, cheap and provides an admirable solution for environmental monitoring on a day to day basis for the sake of public safety, reduction in the response rates to dangerous situations and the encouragement of smart city designs. the research in this study focused on both stationary and mobile w

With the massive access of distributed power sources, multi-terminals on the station side need to exchange data with different business systems of the main station. By converting the transmitted data into an intermediate data format based on JSON, the data from different data sources can be safely transmitted to the dispatching side, which greatly improves the security and convenience of data interaction between the station side and the main station side, and avoids the need for R&D personnel to write similar codes for different data sources to achieve data interaction. the interface is used by developers, which reduces the amount of development code, improves development efficiency, and saves costs.

Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) have increasingly been adopted as a viable solution in the healthcare industry for many years. One novel application of WSNs in healthcare is real-time health data collection and tele-healthcare service delivery via the Internet. With the increasing number of applications of Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) in healthcare has emerged during the past decades, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected millions of people, particularly the elderly, the advantages and benefits of applying WSNs to monitor patients and improve the quality of healthcare have become clearer. Today's sensing and communications technologies have reached a point where these WSNs can be readily implemented and deployed, albeit with some limitations and security concerns. Collecting patients' health data or vital signs from WSNs deployed in hospitals or elderly nursing homes has been one of the most challenging tasks in the healthcare industry. In this paper, our main focus is on the routing protocol for human psychological data generated by healthcare application over the 6LoWPAN-based Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) as well as the development of affordable healthcare applications by leveraging novel WSN technology. Firstly, we present our latest achievements in implementing healthcare systems using the framework proposed in [?]. Additionally, We employ this framework to simulate 6LoWPAN-based Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) in two different healthcare settings using the network simulator NS-3. Finally, we provide preliminary results from the application of the developed application in on-site hospitals and nursing homes. © 2023 the Authors. the term ‘cloud computing’ refers to a concept for on-demand provisioning of computer resources (including hardware and software) through the Internet. Cloud computing’s primary benefits lie in the time and money savings it may provide to IT departments. While cloud computing offers many benefits It also raises many safety considerations. these include data privacy, data availability, data placement, data security credential, license, access management, network security, web data protection, virtual devices protection, etc. Recently, machine learning has shown to be an effective tool for safeguarding the cloud. In order to automate the process of identifying cloud assaults with better accuracy than any other technology, machine learning algorithms are trained on numerous legitimate datasets to develop models. To mitigate the effects of DDoS invasions, our research suggests implementing a detection method at the hypervisor layer. As a means of detecting and categorizing DDoS attacks in the communication between virtual computers, the suggested detection method combines the particle swarm optimization (PSO) with radial basis function (RBF). High classification accuracy against DDoS attacks is the focus of our investigation and recommended method.

Analyzing location data from many individuals can provide valuable insights, especially when linked with private attributes like personal health information. A recent application includes identifying COVID-19 outbreaks by aggregating individuals’ health data across a geographical hierarchy. However, analyzing such sensitive information can threaten the individuals’ privacy, especially when honest-but-curious third parties are involved. To encourage people to share their data for such analyses, strong privacy protection and building trust in the privacy approach are crucial, requiring clear privacy parameters that can be tailored to individual needs. To address these requirements, we introduce DIPALDA, a new anonymization technique for distributed, Privacy-Aware Location Data Aggregation on hierarchically structured personal location data. DIPALDA leverages three privacy parameters: k-anonymity, minimum cloaking area size, and maximum re-identification probability, effectively countering re-identification and location privacy attacks. Our extensive experiments with COVID-19 propagation data demonstrate that DIPALDA achieves a suitable trade-off between utility, privacy, and explainability.

In recent times a lot of effort has been dedicated to realise urban net-zero energy buildings (nZEB) to reduce carbon emissions. the bundling of Internet of things and edge computing has become the go-to source for designing an energy management system (EMS) to accommodate renewable energy sources as power supply and improve the acceptance among consumers. It is essential to develop online scheduling strategies to incorporate the intermittency of renewable energy sources and dynamic electricity tariffs. In this work, we propose an EMS framework without making any prediction and integrate only a real-time task scheduling approach to handling uncertainties during system operations.

Event cameras, inspired by biological vision, are asynchronous sensors that detect changes in brightness. they offer notable advantages in environments characterized by high-speed motion, low lighting, or wide dynamic range. these distinctive properties render event cameras particularly effective for sensor fusion in robotics and computer vision, especially in enhancing traditional visual or LiDAR-inertial odometry. Conventional frame-based cameras suffer from limitations such as motion blur and drift, which can be mitigated by the continuous, low-latency data provided by event cameras. Similarly, LiDAR-based odometry encounters challenges related to the loss of geometric information in environments such as corridors. To address these limitations, unlike the existing event camera-related surveys, this survey presents a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in event-based sensor fusion for odometry applications particularly investigating fusion strategies that incorporate frame-based cameras, inertial measurement units, and LiDAR. the survey critically assesses the contributions of these fusion methods to improving odometry performance in complex environments, while highlighting key applications, and discussing the strengths, limitations, and unresolved challenges. Additionally, it offers insights into potential future research directions to advance event-based sensor fusion for next-generation odometry applications.

In the imminent era of 6G, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) emerge as indispensable connectors, seamlessly integrating ground and space networks with unparalleled flexibility and dynamic mobility. this article focuses on enhancing Quality of Service (QoS) by categorizing users into Premium, Silver, and Bronze tiers, akin to 5G slicing. Leveraging Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG), the study unfolds in two phases. In the first phase, UAVs are strategically deployed using DDPG to optimize network coverage in areas of higher user density. this intelligent deployment adapts to user distribution patterns. In the second phase, dynamic repositioning using DDPG meets QoS requirements by prioritizing users based on categories. this two-phase approach showcases UAV adaptability in optimizing wireless communication systems in the evolving landscape of 6G networks. the proposed solution, driven by DDPG, ensures optimal coverage and responsiveness to diverse user needs.

this paper aims to investigate the stabilization problem of stochastic linear system via path-dependent state-feedback control. For the given stochastic linear system, a novel feedback control is designed with the path-dependent information of the system states, and the control gains are determined by the stochastic algebraic Riccati equation. To prove that path-dependent control can drive the stochastic linear system to be exponentially stable, a novel Lyapunov function is proposed. Combined with the general theory on stability of stochastic system, it is shown that stochastic system will be stabilized in mean-square via path-dependent control.

With the diversity of health management needs, existing monitoring systems fall short in real-time capabilities, portability, and predictive power. this study, grounded in Micro-Electro-Mechanical systems (MEMS) technology, presents an innovative body monitoring and prediction system that integrates high-precision, low-power sensors for real-time collection and analysis of multidimensional physiological data. the system develops a dynamic health assessment and risk prediction model, capable of precisely supporting exercise injury prevention, chronic disease monitoring, and everyday health management. Testing demonstrates superior performance in monitoring accuracy, response speed, and user satisfaction, providing both theoretical and practical support for personalized health management and disease.
