this paper aims to discuss the implementation of phoneme based Manipuri Keyword Spotting System (MKWSS). Manipuri is a scheduled indian language of Tibeto-Burman origin. Around 5 hours of read speech are collected from 4 male and 6 female speakers for development of database of MKWSS. the symbols of International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)(revised in 2005) are used during the transcription of the data. A five state left to right Hidden Markov Model (HMM) with 32 mixture continuous density diagonal covariance Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) per state is used to build a model for each phonetic unit. We have used HMM tool kit (HTK), version 3.4 for modeling the system. the system can recognize 29 phonemes and a non-speech event (silence) and will detect the present keywords formed by these phonemes. Continuous Speech data have been collected from 5 males and 8 females for analysing the performance of the system. the performance of the system depends on the ability of detection of the keywords. An overall performance of 65.24% is obtained from the phoneme based MKWSS.

In this paper we present a method that uses a single camera as a passive sensor for location estimation. the implementation is focused on the imageprocessing techniques and dissimilarity measurement. Experimental results have indicated that good state estimates could be obtained, considering very little use of visual information. Consequently, popular cameras can be perceived as a simple and interesting solution for visual odometry and present very promising possibility in autonomous navigation.

the Strabismus affects about 4% of the children population, causing amblyopia disease. However, this problem can be found by the Hirschberg test that is one of the exams used to detect this pathology. this work presents a methodology for automatic detection of strabismus in digital images through the Central corneal light reflex ratio (CCLRR) based on digital imageprocessing. the proposed algorithm was organized into three stages: (1) skin detection was analyzed using the threshold of RGB color model (2) the locations of the eyes were detected using the morphological operation technique, position, threshold of gray level and shape. (3) the detection of the corneal light reflex were automatically detected by the grey levels in the range from histogram equation and locating of limbus. the methodology has produced results on the range 94.17% of accuracy, 97.23% of sensitivity and 73.08% of specificity.

Tactile graphics are images that use raised surface so that a visually impaired person can feel them. Tactile graphics are necessary to visually impaired students when they study mathematics and science. Since producing tactile graphics are not simple task, an intelligent computer-aided system for assisting the production of tactile graphics is needed. Mathematical graph recognition from printed materials plays an important role to develop such a system. So, this paper focuses on part of a method of mathematical graph recognition. A mathematical graph includes graph elements such as the rays representing the x-axis and the y-axis and the line segments or the curves representing functions or equations. Graph elements are often drawn so that they are overlapped each other. So, this paper discusses a method for extracting graph elements from an element which is drawn by overlapping more than one graph element. the effectiveness of our method is evaluated by a computer experiment.

We propose an image search system for flowers on a mobile phone. Mobile phones have more limited resources than desktop computers in terms of CPU, RAM and data storage. the database that we created has 45 classes. We used 182 training images and 246 test images. We used an HSV histogram as a color feature. the accuracy rate using only color features was 44.86% with radius C=20. We use SURF as a shape feature. the accuracy rate using only shape-based feature was 47.31% with SURF vectors S=25. We combine both color and shape features to achieved accuracy 61.61%.
