Surface Light;Fields(SLF) are light fields parameterized to the surface of a geometric model. Past research in this area has explored the use of parameterization of aquired geometric model to the base mesh, in the context of rendering from compressed representation of the SLF. We further extend this aproach to enable hardware-accelerated SLF rendering. We show that our aproach enables hardware-accelerated, scalable rendering with commodity graphics hardware.

Visualization of digital models of the objects forming a visual scene, is usually carried out on the basis of the conforming mathematical model describing a locating of objects in space withthe help of the cartesian coordinates. thus scene structure determination assumes besides knowledge of coordinates of its elements, as well others essential to positioning objects parameters, such as for example, transparency/opacity, visibility /invisibility etc. On photogrammetric imageprocessing experience it is possible, in particular, to note nine orientation parameters which are necessary for reception of results. Happens, that some part of the information appears missed, and in this case reconstruction of a scene becomes caused by some merely formalizable actions. the certain analogy to the described situation takes place in some algorithms for imageprocessing, for example, in algorithm for object border detecting when the border of object is indicated by the description of properties of a locality of points of scene, without binding them to concrete object or its elements. It is interesting, that the border of object may be marked as a set of the points forming a geometrical figure, and thus algorithm don't know anything about own properties of this figure. It is possible to formation border as habitual marked object by means of vectorization the constructed sequence of points, i.e. the direct indication of frame as a sequence of the ?artesian coordinates of forming points. the approach to the geometrical constructions that changes a role of points coordinates is considered. It is based on geometrical principles at which, the main platform for geometrical constructions are concept of the neighbourhood between points of a scene. then the opportunity of storage of concomitant information in each point and transferring common advanced information between the next points. Operating by such space assumes presence of suitable device as which the vertical data presentation ad

image annotation is an important research problem in content-based image retrieval (CBIR) and computervision with broad applications. A. major challenge is the so-called "semantic gap" between the low-level visual features and the high-level semantic concepts. It is difficult to effectively annotate and extract semantic concepts from an image. In an image with multiple semantic concepts, different objects corresponding to different concepts may often appear in different parts of the image. If we can properly partition the image into regions, it is likely that the semantic concepts are better represented in the regions and thus the annotation of the image as a whole can be more accurate. Motivated by this observation, in this paper we develop a novel stratification-based approach to image annotation. First, an image is segmented into some likely meaningful regions. Each region is represented by a set of discretized visual features. A naive Bayesian method is proposed to model the relationship between the discrete visual features and the semantic concepts. the topic-concept distribution and the significance of the regions in the image are also considered. An extensive experimental study using real data sets shows that our method significantly outperforms many traditional methods. It is comparable to the state-of-the-art Continuous-space Relevance Model in accuracy, but is much more efficient - it is over 200 times faster in our experiments.

image warping is one of the basic algorithms of image-based rendering. To eliminate the visual errors and reduce the redundant computations of traditional methods, a novel post-texture image warping model is proposed which mainly include equal-density mapping and texture reconstruction. Withthe new model, a layered image mapping (LIW) approach is proposed then. In LIW, reference pixels are firstly mapped to "equal density layers" which parallel the desired view and are stored in a bidirectional link list after some by-layer processing. By implementing texture rendering along the list eventually, the warping is transformed to a fast texture mapping process, which provides a considerable speedup. LIW is proved to be efficiently and effective by experiments.

Industrial applications of computervision, such as dimensional inspection, require, among other things, making automated procedures available for the analysis of gray-level image to derive application-dependent 3-D descriptions of their contents. In view of the quantitative 3-D reconstruction of an imaged object and to fully automate the evaluation process, we describe two segmentation and interpretation methods for the automated delineation of regions of interest belonging to the object and associated with free-form surfaces. the selection of the procedure to apply, either a mean shift based or level set based analysis, depends essentially on available a priori information relative to the localization and the shape of the object in the scene. the two approaches are part of a 3-D vision-based on-line inspection system. Results on images of manufactured parts acquired under realistic conditions illustrate the use of these two approaches. (C) 2004 SPIE and IST.

computergraphics is developing day by day, and computer animation with 3D virtual character becomes usual. As this character animation is especially focused on humanoid and has fascinating factor, it is used in the variety of fields. Existing presentations for user were mostly video-based or web-based applications and it is rare to use 3D character, because of the difficulty in character animation. In this paper, we propose a digital presenter with behaviour. Our digital presenter is 3D character with animation, and presents something instead of human presenter. To make animation faster and more real, we try to add the behaviour to digital presenter's animation.
