Despite much research and many novel approaches, no fully satisfactory solution to catch a ball with a robotic arm has been developed so far. A new approach based on memorized trajectories is currently being researched. this paper presents an algorithm for real-time imageprocessing and flight prediction. Object detection and flight path prediction can be done fast enough for visual input data with a frame rate of 130 FPS (frames per second). Our experiments show that the average execution time for all necessary calculations on an NVidia GTX 560 TI platform is less than 7.7ms. the maximum times of up to 11.7ms require a small buffer for frame rates over 85 FPS. the results demonstrate that the use of a GPU (graphicsprocessing Unit) considerably accelerates the entire procedure and can lead to execution rates of 3.5x to 7.2x faster than on a CPU. Prediction, which was the main focus of this research, is accelerated by a factor of 9.5 by executing the devised parallel algorithm on a GPU. Based on these results, further research could be carried out to examine the prediction system's reliability and limitations (compare (Pongratz, 2016)).

the detection of change in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is vital between one visit and another visit for the early-stage detection of Alzheimer's disease (AD). It is associated with changes in the structural and functional aspects. Diagnosis of dementia progression is a challenging but essential step for the planning of early treatment. this paper proposes the cellular automata (CA) framework to identify the changes when the disease progresses from one visit to another. An updated rule using the conduction function of anisotropic diffusion has been proposed to assess the earliest signs of dementia manifestation and progression. the progression of dementia disease in multi-visit subjects for healthy and unhealthy patients has been analyzed by examining the entropy from evolved 2D CA images. the subjects below the reference line in healthy cases lead to the prognosis of the disease, whereas subjects above the reference line in unhealthy subjects are in improved condition. the proposed CA architecture shows the transitions and progressive patterns, thereby offering a method for tracking the evolution of dementia over time.

Bilateral filtering smooths images while preserving edges, by means of a nonlinear combination of nearby image values. the method is noniterative, local, and simple. It combines gray levels or colors based on boththeir geometric closeness and their photometric similarity and prefers near values to distant values in both domain and range. In contrast with filters that operate on the three bands of a color image separately, a bilateral filter can enforce the perceptual metric underlying the CIE-Lab color space, and smooth colors and preserve edges in a way that is tuned to human perception. Also, in contrast with standard filtering, bilateral filtering produces no phantom colors along edges in color images, and reduces phantom colors where they appear in the original image.

In the manufacturing, inspection process always facing the problem of time and consuming number of staff consuming. Because companies want to maintain high quality of their products. Introducing a technology such as autonomous machine vision and computer-based algorithms would solve a problem. Typically, this detection requires human to inspect the pointer, however it takes time and sometimes the errors are caused by human eyes judgement. So, we can apply imageprocessing and robotics to reduce number of staff, human error, time and cost in this inspection. therefore, this paper presents an automatic system to detect, analyze and measure size of the defect on automobile cluster pointer. We introduced an adaptive intensity adjustment algorithm to solve a variation of intensity from taking image of various color of cluster pointer by a fix aperture camera. In the experimental result, our defection size measurement passed a bias test. then, our system was tested in the real production line over 66,160 pieces within two months period. the result shown that the accuracy was 99.4%.
