Remote sensing images are widely used in many aspects, such as agriculture, meteorology, military, and navigation. Clouds often appear in remote sensing images, which will affect the quality of the image and influence the subsequent process. Cloud detection has always been a hotspot in remote sensing image processing. there are many kinds of clouds, the variety of brightness, texture, and shape of which bring a lot of inconvenience to automatic detection. In this paper, we design a cloud detection algorithm for CX-6(02) satellite images according to the characteristics of the actual remote sensing image. First, the image is divided into small image blocks by superpixel segmentation, and then the feature of the superpixel block are extracted through a neural network. Finally, a logistic classifier is applied to determine the superpixel block is cloud or non-cloud. Experiments show effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

this manuscript investigates the synchronization between a novel integer order hyperchaotic system and a fractional order hyperchaotic system. the controllers are constructed using the technique of tracking controller and the stability theory of the linear fractional order system. Chaotic analysis of the introduced novel integer order hyperchaotic system is also investigated. the Lyapunov exponent, bifurcation diagram, Poincare section, Kaplan-Yorke dimension, equilibria and phase portraits are given to justify the chaotic nature of the system. theoretical results are supported with the numerical simulations. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

this paper addresses a comparison between some control methods of three Omni wheels firefighting robot due to the variety of maneuverability. To achieve path planning for firefighting robot to reach a specific point with the shortest path, a kinematics model of omni wheel robot is applied with some control algorithms based on PID controller, Fuzzy logic controller and self-tuned PID using fuzzy logic techniques. Political instability around the world continues to place a significant emphasis on border control. Monitoring these borders requires persistent surveillance in a variety of remote, hazardous and hostile environments. While recent developments in autonomous and unmanned systems promise to provide a new generation of tools to assist in border control missions, the complexity of designing, testing and operating large-scale systems limits their adoption. A seam of research is developing around the use of Modelling and Simulation (M&S) methodologies to support the development, testing and operation of complex, multi-domain autonomous systems deployments. this paper builds upon recent progress in the use of M&S to conduct Verification and Validation (V&V) of complex software functionalities. Specifically, the authors have designed and developed an HLA (High Level Architecture) interoperable M&S testbed capability applied in support of the European Union's ROBORDER H2020 project. V&V has been completed on the Autonomous Resources Task Coordinator (ARTC) software, a module that will be employed in live demonstrations to automatically design missions for heterogeneous autonomous assets. the development and the employment of the interoperable simulation capability is discussed in a scenario designed to test the ARTC. the scenario involves aerial (fixed wing and rotary wing) and underwater assets mounting Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) cameras and pollution detection sensors. Asset and sensor performance is affected by realistic environmental conditions. the M&S-based test-bed capability has shown the correct operation of the ARTC, efficiently communicating the key findings to a range of stakeholder groups. the work has resulted in the creation and testing of an interoperable, modular, reusable testbed capability that will be reused to further support the wide-spread adoption of autonomous and unmanned systems in a range of operations.

In this manuscript, we investigate the methodology of combination-combination anti-synchronization of four identical fractional order hyperchaotic system. the methodology is implemented by considering a 4D fractional order hyperchaotic system. the controllers are constructed using adaptive control technique to ensure the combination-combination anti - synchronization. the synchronization schemes such as chaos control problem, projective anti-synchronization, combination anti-synchronization becomes the special cases of combination-combination anti-synchronization. the combination - combination scheme can additionally enhances the security of transmission of message signals. the theoretical results and numerical simulations are given to justify the validity and feasibility of the proposed control technique. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In order to solve the security problem of medical information and improve the robustness of watermarking algorithms for medical image, a noval watermarking algorithm based on discrete wavelet transform and discrete fractional fourier transform (DWT-DFRFT) was proposed. First, DWT-DFRFT transform was applied to extract the feature vectors of original medical images. And combined with cryptography technology, the extracted feature vectors are represented by a 32-bit symbol sequence, which is derived from the transformation of 4 * 4 submatrix coefficients of the middle part extracted from the energy distribution after DFRFT transformation. then, the watermark was encrypted with tent chaotic mapping, and the encrypted binarized watermark was associated with the feature vector to realize zero watermarking and blind extraction. After performed both conventional attacks and geometric attacks on medical images, the algorithm is proved to be robust. the experimental results show that it can resist both conventional attacks and geometric attacks, and performs well under geometric attacks. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In general, we formulate the problem of extracting n-th order roots from a language as follows: For a given language A and a given nN it is required to find all the languages B, such that A = Bn. this theoretical problem is closely related to the practical task of decoding messages, where it is necessary to find a partition of the encoded message into elementary codes that correspond to certain characters of the original alphabet. We previously found a solution to the problem of extracting n-th order roots for languages of a special kind, which is containing all the possible words of the length from nn1 to nn2 (n1 n2). We reduced the problem under consideration to a knapsack problem and solved it by the method of software implementation of the algorithms proposed in the article. We found out that the number of roots depends on the values of n and k, where k is the cardinal number of the set {n1, n1+1,..., n2}. We obtained quantitative estimates of the number of n-th power roots for different values of n and k. For n = 2, the sequence of the number of square roots from the language coincid with the sequence published on the website of the online encyclopedia of integer sequences http://***/A191701. In binary lunar arithmetic, this sequence is the number of binary numbers x of length k such that x2 has no zeros. In the article, we established and theoretically proved the correspondence between operations in binary lunar arithmetic and in the ring of polynomials with integer coefficients. Based on the established correspondence, we developed algorithms that allows us to solve both the special problem of finding roots from a language and the more general knapsack problem using operations in binary lunar arithmetic. We compared the software implementation of the proposed algorithm with the well-known classical alternative solutions to the knapsack problem. Semantic segmentation of point clouds is indispensable for 3D scene understanding. Point clouds have credibility for capturing geometry of objects including shape, size, and orientation. Deep learning (DL) has been recognized as the most successful approach for image semantic segmentation. applied to point clouds, performance of the many DL algorithms degrades, because point clouds are often sparse and have irregular data format. As a result, point clouds are regularly first transformed into voxel grids or image collections. PointNet was the first promising algorithm that feeds point clouds directly into the DL architecture. Although PointNet achieved remarkable performance on indoor point clouds, its performance has not been extensively studied in large-scale outdoor point clouds. So far, we know, no study on large-scale aerial point clouds investigates the sensitivity of the hyper-parameters used in the PointNet. this paper evaluates PointNet's performance for semantic segmentation through three large-scale Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) point clouds of urban environments. Reported results show that PointNet has potential in large-scale outdoor scene semantic segmentation. A remarkable limitation of PointNet is that it does not consider local structure induced by the metric space made by its local neighbors. Experiments exhibit PointNet is expressively sensitive to the hyper-parameters like batch-size, block partition and the number of points in a block. For an ALS dataset, we get significant difference between overall accuracies of 67.5% and 72.8%, for the block sizes of 5m × 5m and 10m × 10m, respectively. Results also discover that the performance of PointNet depends on the selection of input vectors. © Author(s) 2021. CC BY 4.0 License.

the Distance Geometry Problem (DGP) involves determining the positions of a set of points in space based on the distances between them. Due to the importance of measuring spatial proximity’s between atoms in structural biology, Distance Geometry finds a natural application to protein structure determination. When an instance of the DGP is discretizable, the search tree can be explored using the (interval) branch-and-prune algorithm (iBP). A statistical study on a database of protein structures shows that slight variations are observed in the covalent geometry of the molecules, depending on the Ramachandran region of the protein residues. these variations are in agreement with observations made on high resolution X-ray crystallographic structures. these slight variations may cause atomic clashes when using iBP algorithms to calculate a folded protein structure.
