the integration of the internet of Vehicles (IoV) into urban environments introduces significant data security and network efficiency challenges. As vehicular networks expand, their susceptibility to cyber-attacks increases, demanding effective security solutions. this paper proposes a novel framework by integrating blockchain technology with federated learning (FL) to secure and enhance the efficiency of IoV systems. In this context, we propose a Blockchain-Enhanced FL for internet of Vehicles (BEFL-IoV) framework designed to optimize communication efficiency and protect data privacy within IoV networks. Our approach distributes data processing tasks across vehicles, reducing latency and network congestion while ensuring high data privacy and integrity. Blockchain provides a decentralized, tamper-resistant layer for secure transactions and data exchanges between vehicles and infrastructure. Simulation results confirm the framework’s efficacy in maintaining high data accuracy under various cyber threats. Specifically, the model achieves 0.94% accuracy against property inference attacks and 0.92% accuracy against membership inference attacks. this integration of blockchain and FL significantly improves the scalability and reliability of IoV applications, marking a major advancement in smart transportation technologies. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper presents a machine learning-based approach to detect two major forms of misinformation on social media platforms: deepfake images and social bots. For deepfake image detection, we propose a novel hybrid model combining DenseNet121 with custom Convolutional Neural Networks, achieving 97% accuracy on a dataset of 140,000 images. the social bot detection component utilizes a dual-branch architecture, processing tweet content through LSTM networks and user metadata through dense layers, attaining 91 % accuracy on the CIC truth seeker dataset. Both models demonstrate balanced performance across classes, addressing the challenges of evolving misinformation tactics. By integrating these detection systems, we aim to enhance the integrity and reliability of information ecosystems in digital spaces. Our approach contributes to the ongoing efforts to combat the spread of misinformation on social media platforms. © 2024 IEEE.

Web bots are becoming increasingly sophisticated, posing a serious threat to internet security and integrity. In response to this growing issue, this study proposes a novel bot detection method based on browser fingerprinting and machine learning. the proposed method is a model that was trained on browser fingerprints collected from web traffic using a custom script with a browser fingerprinting library. the traffic was classified as legitimate or malicious based on firewall rules and honeypots. this model seeks to enhance bot detection accuracy while decreasing false positives, filling a gap in the existing research on browser fingerprint-based bot detection. the experimental results demonstrate that detailed browser fingerprint data can serve as an effective indicator for distinguishing between human and automated traffic, providing a foundation for integrating browser fingerprinting into wider security measures. the study also analyzes the specific attributes on browser fingerprints that contribute most significantly to differentiating between legitimate and bot traffic, while acknowledging the limitations in the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

the advent of mobile computing has changed the shape of distributed computing. Mobile devices now have enough computational capabilities to take part of distributed computations. thanks to their wireless networking interfaces, they can have direct interactions with their peers, self-organize in dynamic multi-hop networks, like the internet of things (IoT), the Edge, Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs), etc. Such networks exhibit a number of inherent characteristics (mobility, unpredictability, scarce connections, etc) which make it difficult the use of their resources by (distributed) applications. Because existing middleware for distributed computing was most often designed to operate on clouds/grids/clusters, it can hardly be used in these networks. IDAWI belongs to a new class of middleware solutions which rely on decentralization to federate the resources of dynamic multi-hop networks, to the purpose of facilitating the design and implementation of distributed applications in networks of mobile devices. IDAWI goes further by proposing a collective stream-oriented computing model that matches the very nature of such networks. this permitted us to design, implement and describe in this article the architecture of a specific decentralized Web backend exposing as a whole the resources of a dynamic multi-hop network as a set of Web services. In order to profit from the stream-oriented and collective natures of IDAWI 's computation model, these Web services make a clever use of several standard Web technologies they rely on. All the concepts presented in this paper can be found in an Open Source reference implementation.

In this paper, a real-time information acquisition architecture for digital production process is constructed based on the communication between Industrial internet and OPCUA. the multi-level fusion method for production process is studied, and the multi-level data modeling method for production process is established. At the same time, with the goal of improving the real-time performance of the system and taking 'information class-adaptive compression-node fusion' as the main line, the number of nodes and network scale in OPCUA network are reduced, and the information modeling method of OPCUA system based on OPCUA is constructed. the mutual support degree for proving the transformation is given based on the consistency test and the standardized data. A new method based on evidence synthesis is proposed to obtain multiple information to reduce the amount of data uploaded by terminals, thus alleviating the transmission load of wireless communication systems. According to the information model of OPCUA, a layered information model based on protocol switching is constructed and transformed into a visual configuration mode. this provides a consistent transmission interface for factory data. the experimental results show that the method is feasible. © 2024 IEEE.

the multiplier is an important component of the processor's computing unit. Multiplication, multiplication, addition, and multiplication and subtraction operations are widely used in various signal processing algorithms. Based on this, this article extends the multiplication instructions of RISC-V, designs a 64-bit multiplier that combines the booth2 algorithm and wallace compression technology, and designs a deep pipeline mechanism for the multiplier to improve performance. Finally, through logical simulation and emulation, the result output is correct. Comprehensive results show that under the 28nm cmos process, the MAC unit can reach 2.22Ghz. © 2024 IEEE.

In the current heterogeneous computing environment, different types of accelerated computing resources such as GPU(Graphics Processing Unit) and NPU(Neural Processing Unit) coexist in the cluster. However, because these resources use different communication protocols and architectures, heterogeneous computing resources cannot effectively communicate and collaborate. To solve this problem, we propose a heterogeneous distributed computing framework based on the Parameter Server(PS) architecture and achieve heterogeneous parallel computing capabilities across hardware devices. this allows users to uniformly use all available heterogeneous computing resources in the cluster to perform large-scale data parallel deep learning training tasks. We have conducted experiments and evaluations on this framework in multiple scenarios, and the results show that the NPU and GPU computing power in a heterogeneous computing cluster can be used simultaneously to complete a same computing task without affecting accuracy, while ensuring high training efficiency. Overall, this framework provides an effective solution for high-performance distributed computing in heterogeneous computing environments. © 2024 IEEE.

the internet of things (IoT) has revolutionized data transfer in industries through the MQTT protocol. MQTT is a lightweight messaging protocol designed for efficient communication among IoT devices. It operates on a publish-subscribe model where data producers (publishers) send messages to specific topics. Interested devices (subscribers) subscribe to these topics through an MQTT broker, facilitating communication. MQTT offers Quality of Service (QoS) levels, ensuring reliable message delivery, making it ideal for IoT with intermittent connectivity. It is valued for low overhead, scalability, and real-Time communication. Traditional MQTT brokers are single-node setups, straightforward for small to moderate IoT applications. In contrast, distributed MQTT brokers are interconnected, offering scalability, redundancy, load balancing, and fault tolerance. they suit large-scale IoT deployments where reliability and performance are vital. the proposed Load-Balancer Redis-based architecture for distributed MQTT brokers overcomes the shortcomings of traditional brokers. the Load-Balancer transfers all incoming TCP packets to the brokers for processing, which ensures equal utilization of each broker node. Redis acts as a synchronization layer for the brokers where the state information is stored. © 2024 IEEE.

computing power has become a foundational societal resource. With the rapid development of computing infrastructure and AI large models, personal clouds are gradually evolving into platforms for personal cloud-based living, and user demand for computing power services is increasing. China Mobile Cloud Drive responds to the national digital strategy by creating clients adapted to 18 types of operating systems and hardware, with cloud-native infrastructure, scenario-based multidimensional metadata management technology, edge computing power scheduling, and large-scale network transmission acceleration technologies. through cloud-edge-terminal collaboration, it optimizes the capacity for personal cloud services, serving as a ubiquitous personal cloud service infrastructure capable of supporting AI large models and digital asset engines, facilitating convenient deployment and efficient access for pervasive personal cloud services. this paper explores the design and considerations of computing power service hosting modes for personal cloud service infrastructure based on application scenarios such as mobile computing power hosting, computing power connectivity, computing power circulation, and computing power transactions, integrating practical cases from China Mobile Cloud Drive. © 2024 IEEE.
