the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) was constructed to explore the potential for steady-state nuclear fusion operation under long-pulse, high-performance conditions. Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) has been implemented to assist in heating the magnetically confined plasma during fusion reactions. the NBI control System (NBICS) is a distributed control system used for controlling the operation of NBI experiments. As more and more achievements are made, experiments based on EAST continue to evolve towards higher goals, which also impose stricter control requirements on NBI. To further ensure the efficiency of NBI control and injection, a new Operation control System (OCS) has been developed. the new system incorporates the latest features of Experimental Physics and Industrial control System (EPICS), significantly enhancing the robustness and safety of the experimental operation process compared to the past. It possesses strong scalability, fully meeting the requirements of EAST experiments. OCS consists of several components. It integrates technologies such as the PV Access (PVA) protocol and the Phoebus framework in EPICS, achieving functionalities like parameter processing, experimental flow control, exception monitoring, and cooperative control. In this paper, the architectural design and development of the OCS are introduced. © 2023 IEEE.

Modern cars frequently have manual regulators and switches for headlight and rearview mirror control, which can be difficult and distracting for drivers. this paper presents a more efficient alternative through the implementation of a touch- sensitive control system utilizing the ESP32 microcontroller. the device substitutes conventional controls with touch sensors to streamline the management of headlamp intensity and rearview mirrors. the technology rotates a stepper motor 20 degrees with a single touch to enhance headlight brightness, 40 degrees with a double touch for additional adjustment, and 60 degrees with a triple touch, facilitating precise control over the illumination. Furthermore, an additional touch sensor is employed to regulate servo motors that facilitate the automation of rearview mirror adjustment. A single touch activates the mirrors, while a double touch deactivates them, providing a more fluid experience. this touch-based technology offers drivers a safer and more intuitive method for controlling essential vehicle functions while simultaneously upgrading the car’s interface. this design employs readily available components and straightforward programming, making it both economical and scalable for future smart car applications. © 2025 IEEE.

To solve UAVs' problems of inefficient search, redundant paths, and local optimal solutions in complex terrain, this study proposes an improved method based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. First, it built a complex terrain environment model with multiple obstacles and introduced a Tent chaotic mapping function to initialize the particle swarm in the standard PSO algorithm to enhance the global search capability. Secondly, it included the Lévy flight to widen the search in space and help the particles overcome the local optimum. At the same time, it adopted the variable spiral search strategy to enable a precise search at its current position when the local optimum occurs. Finally, it used the B spline curve to smooth the optimized path. the results show that the improved algorithm generates a reliable path that meets the needs of UAVs. © 2024 IEEE.

the voltage drops at the connection point of the DFIG induction motor unit, caused by a power grid failure, poses a significant risk for disconnecting the DFIG from the grid. Furthermore, the continuous increase in wind power penetration exacerbates the adverse impact of off-grid operation on the power system. therefore, it is imperative to enhance the low-voltage ride-through (L VRT) characteristics of DFIG through control strategies. In this study, considering the strong dependence on system parameters and weak anti-interference ability of passive control methods, we introduce a sliding mode structure into passive control and improve the internal current loop of DFIG converter using passive sliding mode techniques. Consequently, we establish a passive sliding mode GSC control model to enhance L VRT characteristics of DFIG. Time domain simulations are conducted to compare L VRT performance before and after implementing passive sliding mode control strategy to validate its superiority. © 2024 IEEE.

Over the past few decades, energy has been used mindlessly leading to many problems like reduction in supply, high power rates, increased carbon footprint, etc. Smart campuses, home automation, smart grid, etc. make living comfortable and economical. It optimizes energy consumption and is quite simple to operate too. this project proposes Internet of things (IoT) based automation for smart car parking inside the campus, thus converting existing campus into smart campus. In this work, we have developed a prototype for smart campus using STM32 microcontroller. this microcontroller has better features compared to other contemporary microcontrollers. this prototype includes a smart car parking system which reduces traffic congestion and facilitates car parking inside the campus. © Grenze Scientific Society, 2024.

Due to the complex offshore climate conditions and the operating environment of wind turbines, there are often a large number of anomalies in the original wind speed and wind power data collected by the Supervisory control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system of offshore wind farms, which is difficult to reflect the real performance of wind turbines. this paper presents a combined cleaning method for offshore wind turbine abnormal data based on deep learning. Firstly, on the basis of analyzing the types and causes of abnormal data of power curve, the abnormal data is divided into accumulation type and discrete type. Secondly, the combined method of sliding quartile-feasibility search circle (FSC) is used to clean abnormal data. then, the density-based noise is applied to the spatial clustering algorithm for secondary cleaning to further eliminate the potential abnormal data. Finally, the historical operation data of the fan from an offshore SCADA system is used for example analysis. the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm still maintains good cleaning effect and strong robustness, and has strong universality even in the offshore wind farm with complex environment. © 2024 IEEE.

the article discusses a beam steering system that can be used in the development of phased array antennas with ferrite phase shifters. the aim of the study is to find technical solutions for creating a beam steering system based on FPGA and high-speed MOSFET switches. A description of the scheme for constructing a beam steering system and specialized software for it is presented. the beam steering system provides the formation of control pulses of variable polarity and duration, and is also characterized by a flexible structure that allows it to be adapted for antenna arrays with different numbers of phase shifters. © 2024 IEEE.

With the improvement in EV’s popularity, controlling the load demand of EVCS’s has become an essential task to keep the grid balanced and efficient. Conventional DSM techniques tend to rely on historic patterns to predict charging trends, hence cannot serve as viable solutions to peak load problems. In order to improve charging demand forecasting, this research presents a Pyramidal Dilation Attention Convolutional Neural Network (PDACNN) for the DSM of EV charging stations. By using precise forecasting and ideal charging schedule, this study aims to increase the effectiveness of DSM in EV charging stations. the PDACNN is used to predict the charging load for EV stations, allowing for optimized scheduling of charging sessions that align with grid capacity and energy availability. By then, the proposed method is implemented on MATLAB platform and evaluated with other existing methods such as Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), and Genetic Algorithm (GA). the proposed PDACNN method achieves an RMSE of 0.0753 and an accuracy of 98.9%, demonstrating its effectiveness in EV charging load forecasting and demand-side management. © 2025 IEEE.

the aim of the study is a comprehensive analysis of the capillary climate-control systems effectiveness and an evaluation of their usage feasibility as energy systems microclimate support of buildings. In the course of the study, the great advantages of using capillary systems as an alternative to traditional climate systems were revealed, first of all, it lies in the ability to maintain microclimatic parameters of indoor air. From the point of view of energy efficiency, the use of capillary systems is also more preferable - due to the use of a coolant possessing a special level of temperature potential. With the help of mathematical modeling, useful dependences were obtained and they've got great practical significance for the sizing calculation for heating and cooling systems based on capillary climate-control systems. © 2024 IEEE.
