this paper explores the critical role of operating frequency on the inductance control properties of orthogonal reactors, increasingly vital in advanced power systems. these reactors are noted for their compactness and adjustable inductance, proving crucial in high-frequency scenarios like large transformer partial discharge tests. the research begins by developing a mathematical model for inductance quantification and then theoretically examines how frequency variations affect inductance. through finite element simulations, the study thoroughly assesses how inductance responds to different frequencies, identifying patterns and irregularities that inform innovative design strategies for inductance consistency. the results offer design guidance to improve the reliability of orthogonal reactors across various frequencies. Additionally, the paper considers frequency-induced effects on losses, thermal performance, electromagnetic compatibility, and mechanical stability, promoting an integrated design approach to address these issues. © 2024 IEEE.

Real-time monitoring of the sliding pin system is essential for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the turbine generator set, especially under peak loads. this study begins by examining the operational mechanism of the sliding pin system, identifying key monitoring parameters reflecting its operating status, gathering time series data via the distributed control system (DCS), and conducting multi-step predictions using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model to facilitate indirect early fault detection. the model demonstrates strong performance according to a comprehensive four-dimensional evaluation index assessing the accuracy of the LSTM model in multi-step predictions of individual time series data. these findings hold significant engineering and practical value for steam turbine operation and maintenance practices. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper introduces a design for a photovoltaic (PV) pumping system that incorporates battery bank storage. A three-port DC-DC converter (TPC) is employed to integrate the PV, battery bank, and induction motor drive (IMD) based pumping system. the purpose of the battery bank is to provide support to the pump during shading conditions to prevent frequent suspension and down-thrust situations. Additionally, the proposed system aims to maintain the free-floating impeller operating range by imposing rotational speed limits on the pump. the input ports of the TPC consist of the PV port, which is controlled to harvest the maximum power point (MPP) using the perturb and observe technique, and the battery port. the output port is linked to a DC bus using passive rectifier to supply power to the variable speed V/F IMD. the battery port is regulated to sustain the DC bus voltage in a desired voltage range that ensures the impeller operation under free-floating conditions. the proposed system is simulated using MATLAB/Simulink software. the simulation results are discussed to evaluate the dynamic performance. © 2024 IEEE.

A variable inductance (VI) structure for dual active bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter based on controllable switches is proposed in this work. First, this paper analyzes the difference in the efficiency of DAB converter in different power ranges, and proposes a method to make the converter work continuously in high efficient power range by changing the value of the inductor. Secondly, the VI structure is proposed to connect controllable switches and inductors of different values in series or parallel with each other, which is simple in structure and can achieve stable operation. Based on this VI structure, a control method combining the existing phase shift modulation optimization scheme is proposed. Finally, the proposed method is validated on the MATLAB/Simulink platform to efficiently reduce the reactive power of the existing phase shift modulation optimization schemes, which is practicable and superior. © 2023 IEEE.

Aggregation operators are widely used in decision making applications, but the aggregation operator synthesis process is difficult to understand by experts, therefore various visualization methods are important to be developed for such operators. this paper is intended to improve an existing aggregation operator visualization method in order to enrich its application area with bipolar aggregation operators. the Unity game engine was leveraged as a versatile virtual reality platform and the model plane rotation angle constraints were creatively reworked to accomplish the aforementioned goal. this paper proposes a method for visualizing bipolar aggregation operators based on a 3D balance model and presents its implementation in the Unity game engine. this method allows visualizing the aggregation of criteria defined on various types of bipolar scales, considering the criteria interdependencies. © 2024 IEEE.

To endow the simulated quadruped robot with autonomous action control capabilities, this paper proposes the use of the PPO (Proximal Policy Optimization) algorithm, a deep reinforcement learning technique, to enable the quadruped robot to make autonomous decisions during walking tasks. Since walking tasks involve continuous actions that depend not only on the current state but also on past actions and states, this paper improves the PPO algorithm with LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) to enhance the autonomous decision-making ability of the quadruped robot during walking. Using PyBullet to simulate the walking environment of the quadruped robot, experiments have verified that the improved PPO algorithm significantly outperforms the unimproved PPO algorithm in terms of performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Water, as a renewable resource, is critical for agricultural sustainability, yet managing its distribution through irrigation canals is complicated by uncertainties in hydraulic parameters, particularly the Manning roughness coefficient. While canal automation techniques improve system performance, traditional control strategies struggle with unknown variations, leading to inefficiencies. this paper presents Quantitative Feedback theory (QFT) as a robust control strategy to address both structured and unstructured uncertainties in irrigation systems. Focusing on the Distributary-36, of the Tungabhadra Left Bank Canal (TLBC) system, we analyze the impact of ±30% uncertainty in roughness coefficients and design a QFT-based controller to maintain stability across these variations. Simulations show that the QFT controller ensures effective flow control and system stability, offering a more reliable solution for water management under fluctuating conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

Starting rescue operations quickly after an earth-quake is the best way to save lives in such disasters. In the case of large-scale earthquakes, current post-earthquake response systems cannot determine which building or rescue route would save the most lives due to the lack of real-time data availability. Research gaps include a lack of automation in earthquake damage assessment of buildings, location identification, and estimation of the number of trapped people. To fill these gaps, this article proposed an innovative solution using advanced sensors and cloud services for post-earthquake rescue route planning systems. this system aims to improve rescue operations to save the maximum number of lives in the shortest time and minimize impacts by optimizing resource allocation and overall response efficiency. By filling the existing research gap, our system seeks to provide more responsive and effective solutions to post-earthquake emergencies. Tested in a simulated environment with 16 samples, our system successfully collects and processes data from IoT devices deployed in buildings, classifies structural damage, and estimates the number of people affected. Our approach significantly reduces the time required to initiate rescue operations by providing rescuers with optimized routes to disaster sites, which has potential implications for disaster management strategies. © 2024 IEEE.

Major challenges are observed when autonomous drones fly in the complex, changeable environment such as wind zones regarding accurate path planning, avoiding the object, and completing tasks. Lack of flexibility in different situations reduces the reliability of conventional models in real time. To overcome these difficulties the Savitzky-Golay Denoising CSWin Quantum Generative Adversarial Network with Emperor Penguin Optimizer known as SGDCQGANNet-EPO was developed. the RGB data and GPS-estimated wind forces in this model undergo Savitzky-Golay Denoising;this model does not rely on global data, only RGB camera data and GPS data. Recently a CSWin transformer (CSWin-T) makes feature extraction and obstacles detection as well as wind angle, wind speed and wind position identification easier. Quantum Generative Adversarial Networks (QGANet) are then used for optimized path planning, and the model is enhanced by the Emperor Penguin Optimizer (EPO) to fine tune the generator and discriminator loss functions. More accurate compared to current approaches in accuracy and efficiency, the model achieves an accuracy of 99.28%, a low RMSE of 0.38, a recall of 99.25%, and EVA of 0.95. In Confidence using this new technique, the free roaming and self-organizing drone maneuvers in complex environments achieved remarkable results. © 2025 IEEE.

Waterborne transportation ranks first among all modes of transportation in terms of cargo turnover in international cargo movements. Ships also need to meet more transportation requirements and higher navigation safety, the ship's power propulsion and transmission system is an important component of the ship. It is necessary to study the propulsion and transmission performance of ships under the influence of various environmental factors. this paper is based on according to the working principle of the ship engine system, the use of Matlab/Simulink software were modeled, in which the power unit and the protection unit to the software hydraulic library of the basic hydraulic components to build and assign parameters. the PID control principle is used for automatic control, and the rudder signal is used as the output for adjustment. the ship's trajectory, pendulum swing, transverse rocking, longitudinal rocking and other motion information in the environment of wind, wave and current are analyzed, and the safe navigation of the ship in different environments is summarized. the analog simulation of normal operation conditions and common faults of ship power system and the fault diagnosis research using BP neural network are of great significance to improve the diagnosis efficiency of the propagation power system faults and guarantee the safety of marine operation. © 2023 IEEE.
