the aviation industry is significantly dependent on sophisticated technology, such as engines, avionics, and air traffic control systems, to assure the safety and efficiency of its operations. A significant proportion of commercial aviation accidents may have been averted by implementing a flying procedure wherein an incoming aircraft discontinues its landing attempt and reenters the queue for landing. the timely implementation of this approach can substantially impact mitigating the overall accident rate within the aviation industry. Hence, the main aim of this article is to effectively forecast flight landings, improve safety measures and enable informed decision-making in complex situations for both autonomous and human-operated aircraft using a Deep Learning algorithm such as long short term memory (LSTM). the performance of LSTM compared with machine learning (ML) technique like Support Vector Machines (SVM) and logistic regression algorithm in terms of sensitivity and specificity © 2023 IEEE.

Exponential stability, L1-gain performance and fault detection are investigated in this paper for continuous positive switched system (PSS) when there exists no stable subsystems. To eliminate the instability brought by the unstable modes ensure the exponential stbility, a time-driven switching strategy is proposed by means of the average dwell time approach. then, the L1-gain performance for the PSS is guaranteed. Additionally, the stable filter design is converted into the L1-gain analysis. Sufficient conditions are deduced to guarantee the L1-gain performance with exponential stability in terms of linear matrices inequalities (LMIs). Finally, an example is provided to test and verify the effectiveness and practicality. © 2023 IEEE.

With the continuous growth of electricity load on islands, the original AC submarine transmission cable is faced with the problems of relatively weak grid structure and insufficient transmission capacity. In order to improve the power supply reliability of island system, based on the technical and economic advantages of the C-NPC (cascaded neutral point clamped three-level converter), its topology is applied to the VSC-HVDC interconnection engineering for islands for the first time. the potential instability problems of C-NPC under different control strategies are analyzed. An additional control strategy for the DC voltage sharing and AC current sharing among C-NPC modules is proposed. the effectiveness of the additional control method is verified by PSCAD simulation. Taking an engineering as the object, the typical system operation simulation is carried out, which verifies good operation characteristics of the island system. © 2024 IEEE.

A new decoupling circuit of flyback inverters is proposed to reduce the second harmonic components of buses and DC side in view of the problems of large number of double harmonic components of power frequency in the grid-connected system of HVDC transmission. through the control of the switch in the new decoupling control circuit, the capacitor can be effectively discharged sequentially. At the same time, four working stages of decoupled capacitor charging mode and discharge mode are studied based on the control analysis of the topology. Finally, the simulation is completed in Matlab/Simulink and an experimental platform is built in the laboratory. the simulation and experimental results prove the rationality and effectiveness of the decoupling method. © 2023 IEEE.

For effective city planning and traffic control, it is now crucial to develop some effective monitoring systems for vehicle traffic in order to address this quickly growing tendency within a city. As a result, the TrackNCount project combines DeepSORT with YOLOv8 for object identification to create a smart system for tracking, counting, and speed estimation of vehicles. the idea behind this design is to use sophisticated computer vision techniques in conjunction with efficient algorithms to handle real-world scenarios. Setting up a reliable procedure that recognizes cars, gives them distinct IDs, and records their movements through video frames is our first priority. the system computes vehicle speeds using the Euclidean distance formula, manages item trajectories using double-ended queues, and detects entering and outgoing vehicles based on directional thresholds. Motion trails and bounding boxes are two further visual aids that improve the results' readability. With the added benefit of simple speed estimation feature integration, the model provides exceptional accuracy in real-time vehicle monitoring and counting. Experiments conducted on a variety of traffic scenarios consistently showed that this system can deliver precise vehicle counts in designated directions and speed calculations with a small margin of error. the findings show that TrackNCount is a viable and scalable solution for data-driven city planning and intelligent traffic management. © 2025 IEEE.

the current cross-camera multi-person identity association method is limited to pairwise association between cameras, lacking multi-view collaborative processing, which restricts its application in complex surveillance networks. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a cross-camera multi-target association method based on graph neural networks. It constructs a global graph structure integrating views from all cameras, extracts personnel features using a ResNet-50 network, and updates graph information through message passing and aggregation. Connectivity component constraints are introduced to optimize the graph structure and achieve accurate personnel identity association. the model is trained on the EPFL pedestrian dataset and compared with recent multi-objective association methods. the results show that the method proposed in this paper, with its ARI, AMI, and V-measure, outperforms typical methods such as Geometric, and its performance is substantially improved. © 2024 IEEE.

Demand forecasting is a pivotal factor of the retail enterprise, permitting businesses to successfully optimize stock management and meet client demand. this paper affords a hybrid model that integrates 3 key methodologies—Seasonal Decomposition (SD), Auto Regressive integrated shifting common (ARIMA), and Gradient Boosting Regressor (GBR)—to decorate forecasting accuracy for large marts. the version is constructed on ancient income facts, where Seasonal Decomposition first separates the time collection into seasonal, trend, and residual components, revealing underlying patterns. ARIMA is then implemented to the detrended records, accounting for time-dependent autocorrelations and shifting averages, while GBR is hired to model and predict the residuals, thereby refining the overall forecast. the performance of the SD-ARIMA-GBR version is empirically tested on income statistics from 1559 products throughout 10 stores, yielding an impressively low implied Mean Absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 3.0%. When in comparison to standard models like ARIMA and Exponential Smoothing, the hybrid technique proves substantially extra correct. the combination of machine mastering, especially GBR, performs a crucial function in improving predictive precision. this complete version gives huge marts an effective tool for awaiting calls for fluctuations, using more accurate stock-making plans, and enhancing operational efficiency. © 2025 IEEE.

Adaptive systems consist of two main blocks: identification and optimization. the first one is responsible for determining new parameters of the changed object, the second one is to find optimal settings for the updated object. In this work, the method of applying harmonic influences is adopted. Due to the features that make it possible to better identify harmonics with a frequency of known parameters against the background of random disturbances in the object. To minimize the identification time, the method proposed by the authors is based on negative correlation was used, in which only two ordinates of one period are processed. the good efficiency of the method can be justified by the fact that the frequency of disturbances is low, in contrast to a control system with a high natural frequency. When developing an optimization block, the influence of identification error on optimality criteria was studied. To level out errors, the control principle based on the forecast of the controlled variable was applied. It allows you to obtain high-quality transient processes even from one empirically obtained object vector. In order to confirm the statements made, a calculation of the adaptive temperature control system in the section of the RF boiler of the 800 MW power unit was carried out. the calculation results convincingly prove the reliability of the proposed methodologies. © 2024 IEEE.

Analog low-pass filters (LPF) are used in the input circuits of control and monitor systems (CMS) as pre-processing devices for input analog information and anti-aliasing filters at the ADC inputs to reduce aliasing errors during the time sampling of signals. this article considers the components of the maximum dynamic error of the input circuit of the CMS when using the LPFs based on the switched-capacitors (SC LPF). there are five components of the total dynamic error of the input circuit: a sensor error;an aliasing error;the first class dynamic error;the second class dynamic error;an information delay error in the SC LPF. It is noted that the processes in the input circuits of the SC LPFs are identical to the processes in the sample-and-hold circuits (S/H circuit) of the random-access memories. the attention is drawn to the feature of the SC LPF: the filter itself performs the time sampling of the input signal, which causes the input aliasing error. this must be taken into account. © 2024 IEEE.

Modular multi-active bridge (MMAB) converters have inherent advantages such as electrical isolation, modularity, power density, and conversion efficiency. they can provide multiple DC ports for various power conversions through a common high-frequency-link. Due to the lack of energy storage capacitors as energy buffers, the power flow between different ports of MMAB exhibits cross nonlinear strong coupling. this article is based on the theory of linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC), treating the power coupling term between the MMAB converter ports as an external disturbance. the state variables and disturbances are observed using a linear extended state observer (LESO), and then actively compensated to eliminate the disturbance and convert the controlled object into a known linear system, thus achieving the goal of dynamic power decoupling. A comparative experiment was conducted between this strategy and traditional PI control strategy through hardware in the loop system. the results showed that the proposed decoupling control strategy is independent of the controlled object model and only related to the model order. Its dynamic performance and robustness advantages are obvious. © 2024 IEEE.
