As an emerging portable service platform, OSGi is now taking a more and more important role in Ubiquitous computing environment. As a module management framework, OSGi provides the functions of dynamic loading and unloading software modules at runtime. But its use is limited because it is centralized and single programming language supported. In this paper we present LIR-OSGi, an extended framework of OSGi, which is designed to add the distribution and programming language independence to OSGi. Meanwhile it is easy to use for developers because of the transparence of service invocation and automation of distribution. Not like OSGi which can be applied only on the Java platform, LIR-OSGi makes programs which may be written in different programming languages be able to call each other transparently so that it can be applied in many different platforms such as DotNet Framework and so on. this brings much convenience to the program development in a distributed and heterogeneous environment.

A multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) furnace control system based on the PID control and the fuzzy radical basis functions neural network(FRBFNN) control is presented, in this paper. In addition, the structure models and relative learning algorithms of the FRBFNN controller are gived. At last, simulation and experiment results based on an application of the MIMO furnace control system are provided to show that FRBFNN-control system has more robustness than the PIDcontrol system especially in reducing noise and overcoming non linearities.

this article deals with encrypted evidence and gaining encryption keys from memory. For the purpose of forensic analysis an image of an encrypted disk cannot be later verified against any original evidence, because, after the power is switched off the decrypted original contents is no longer accessible. However, using a live image of the system's volatile memory obtained at the time when the container is open, the decryption keys can be recovered. We show a new approach to identify encryption keys in memory. this work focuses mainly on the Ubuntu Linux distribution and a new version of encryption tool TrueCrypt, but we deal also withthe Windows operating system.

the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of visualized programming on the learners' problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning skills. the subjects are six graders in Taipei city and they accept a Scratch programming course in a semester. the research result shows that the effect of problem-solving abilities is significant, especially at the reason of prediction. Nevertheless, there is no significant effect on logical reasoning skills. In short, integrating the visualized programming learning and problem solving strategies can enhance the learners problem-solving skills.

To control road tunnel ventilation is very difficult because of its high no-linearity and random property. In this paper the grey prediction and fuzzy control method is developed for road tunnel ventilation control. the method includes two prominent blocks, i.e., grey predictor and fuzzy controller. the grey predictor is realized based on discrete GM(1,1) and can rollingly predict the system outputs on line. the fuzzy controller structure is the same as the traditional fuzzy control system for road tunnel ventilation but the new fuzzy inference rules are established. Finally the method is simulated using practical data and the results shows that the effect of this method is better and it also cost less energy compared to the traditional fuzzy control method.

the increasing complexity of safety-critical applications has led to the introduction of decision support tools in the transportation and process industries. automation has also been introduced to support operator intervention in safety-critical applications. these innovations help reduce overall operator workload, and filter application data to maximise the finite cognitive and perceptual resources of system operators. However, these benefits do not come without a cost. Increased computational support for the end-users of safety critical applications leads to increased reliance on engineers to monitor and maintain automated systems and decision support tools. this paper argues that by focussing on the end users of complex applications, previous research has tended to neglect the demands that are being placed on systems engineers. the argument is illustrated through discussing three recent accidents. the paper concludes by presenting a possible strategy for building and using highly automated systems based on increased attention by management and regulators, improvements in competency and training for technical staff, sustained support for engineering team resource management, and the development of incident reporting systems for infrastructure failures. this paper represents preliminary work, about which we seek comments and suggestions.

In this paper we investigate a new method to fabricate 3D-oriented nanostructures in wafer scale, and apply it to fabricate a nano-apertures at the apex of a pyramid. A number of new technologies require the use of apertures to serve as electrical, nano fluidic or optical probes. controlling the size of the aperture is one of the key problems in fabrication process. Our approach is based on corner lithography and offers wafer scale control of the size of the aperture in diameters less than 1 μm. We show how to controlthe size of the nano-aperture by timed isotropic etching of silicon nitride, which serves as a mask for the aperture formation.

In this paper, a Multi-thread Interface (MTI) is developed into a lightweight and easy-to-use class library. this library is based on multi-core processor by means of packaging Windows thread interface functions, with which serial codes can be expanded into parallel ones. In the library, thread-related operations are enveloped into classes in order that programmers can use them more conveniently. MTI constructs for parallelization, restricting control of threads and communication primitives for synchronization. Using this framework, parallel algorithms have been implemented for computing numerical integral and matrix multiplying to prove that MTI reduces the difficulty, such as “programming wall”, brought by multicore system.
