Type-of-service based directed retry strategy is investigated to achieve efficient channel utilization for different types of users in mobile cellular environments. Directed retry takes advantage of inevitable overlap among cells to increase the channel utilization and reduce the blocking probability in each cell. A M/M/m/k queue is used to model the channel occupancy statement. Several parameters, such as traffic load, queue length, blocking probability and overlapped area fraction, are studied for comparisons among different types of users, e.g., delay-sensitive and delay non-sensitive. Additional handoff processing load, which is due to directed retry and related to overlapped area fraction and mean path length, is estimated. the results show that the additional handoff probability caused by directed retry is quite small, even in the case of delay-sensitive services.

Algorithmic state machine (ASM) descriptions or hardware flowcharts have been used successfully to describe and verify large systems like the IBM 3081. Hardware flowcharts are intuitively appealing in their specification of control flow and data path operations. Nevertheless, previous mechanizations of hardware flowcharts lacked a formal semantics which prevented a rigorous analysis of implementations refined from ASM descriptions, and the ability to equate composed ASM descriptions to purely behavioral descriptions. To address these concerns, we describe an algorithmic register transfer language which has a formal semantics along with an algebra which is used to reason about composed ASM descriptions.

the sewer system and the wastewater treatment plant have a major impact on the river water quality of urban streams. To minimize this impact, real time control is a valuable option. However, a simultaneously simulating model of the complete system is needed in order to allow design and evaluation of such control strategies. Integrated modelling of the urban wastewater systems is a complex exercise. An integrated model for simulating the behavior of the urban wastewater system has been developed in this paper by selecting appropriate ASM-based sub-models for the three subsystems. It focuses on the river water quality and can handle fluxes of substances within the urban wastewater system. the performances and effectiveness are demonstrated by simulating various scenarios.

With the development of artificial intelligence, the anomaly detection plays more and more important role in security monitoring field. Because it is difficult to label abnormal data, most of the supervised methods consumed a lot of manpower and obtained low performance and generality. Inspired by this motivation, this paper proposes a semi-supervised method for anomaly detection in video frames based on GAN (Generative Adversarial Network), in which only normal data was used as the training sample. the quality gap between the predicted frame and the ground truth is used as the basis to determine whether it is abnormal. Moreover, the mathematical morphology approach was adopted to locate the anomaly area in the frames. Experiments show that our method can successfully detect abnormal frames in video and can also locate the area where abnormal behavior occurs in frames.

Auxiliary resonant snubber inverters (RSIs) have been proposed a solution of demands for inverter, which are high efficiency and low EMI. In RSI, zero voltage switching (ZVS) on the inverter main switches is achieved by use of the auxiliary circuit;however, additional conduction loss increases simultaneously. the operating frequency of the auxiliary circuit in RSI can be reduced to a half of switching transition of a main switch when natural ZVS, in which ZVS can be achieved without using auxiliary circuit by using output current, is used. As a result, additional conduction loss can be suppressed. However, in this scheme, ZVS turn-on on main switch is failed near zero output current when dead-time was constant. As a solution for this problem, adjustable dead-time control scheme for RSI has been proposed;however, output current is distorted in low output power range. thus, this paper proposes a dead-time compensation scheme for adjustable dead-time control. this paper shows the basic concept of the proposed compensation scheme. In addition, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme was verified through simulations using PSIM and experiments. As a result, it was verified that the proposed control scheme was able to improve thD without decreasing in efficiency.

In the AC/DC hybrid system, it is easy to cause the active power of the AC line to exceed the transmission power limit after the DC fault blocking. To analyze the energy storage to improve the safe operation capability of the AC/DC hybrid system after the DC fault blocking. therefore, an evaluation method for the energy storage control strategy of the AC / DC hybrid system based on the DC power transfer influence factor is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the influence of DC line power transfer on the AC line after the DC blocking fault in the AC/DC hybrid system is analyzed, and a double-layer control strategy of the energy storage system is proposed to improve the safe operation ability of AC system; Secondly, considering the strong DC and weak AC operation characteristics of AC / DC hybrid system, a method for evaluating the energy storage safe operation ability based on DC power transfer influence factor is proposed; Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation method was verified on the modified CEPRI36V7 power grid model of the Power System Analysis Software Package (PSASP). the simulation results show that the energy storage protection action can effectively suppress the line power and generator power angle oscillation, and greatly improve the system stability.

Service Oriented computing (SOC) has emerged as a new computing paradigm that has services as the building blocks to distributed applications. SOC supports rapid development, easy composition and low cost production of distributed applications as services, promoting interoperability. Interoperable applications are however not under the control of a single administration hence implementation detail is abstracted from other administrations. Following the web services architectural model, a service provider may not be in full view of the service requestors consuming his offered services, hence a mechanism to support the existing service requestors in the event of changes made to a service, need to be put in place. this will help to reduce the full impact of unannounced service changes on the service requestors. this paper presents the design and implementation of an approach to gracefully change a service from one version to the next while maintaining support for the existing services. the paper introduces a proxy-based service transformation model to convert messages sent between any service provider-requestor pair to match the version implementation of the requestor. the feasibility and applicability of this model is demonstrated through a prototype.

At present, the underground coal mine power supply environment is very complicated, electronic equipment is constantly put into use, and the safety of coal mine power supply is becoming increasingly serious. In order to realize the lightweight power supply of low-power electrical appliances for the hydraulic bracket in the underground coal mine, and improve the underground power supply environment, a set of hydraulic bracket self-power supply system has been designed. the basic design principle of the system, the design of each module are introduced in detail and the field industrial test is carried out. through the data analysis of the energy loss of the system, the input and output parameters of the battery, as well as the thermal runaway analysis of the battery, it is determined that the system can achieve a stable power supply to the electrical appliances; the system has a high degree of integration, strong maintainability, and provides a safety guarantee for the power supply of low-power electrical appliances of the hydraulic bracket in the underground mine.

Multiple single-units recorded from chronically-implanted microelectrode arrays frequently exhibit variability in their spike waveform features and firing characteristics, making it challenging to ascertain the identity of recorded neurons across days. In this study, we present a fast and efficient algorithm that tracks multiple single-units, recorded in a nonhuman primate performing brain control of a robotic arm, across days based on features extracted from units' average waveforms. Furthermore, the algorithm does not require long recording duration to perform the analysis and can be applied at the start of each recording session without requiring the subject to be engaged in a behavioral task. the algorithm achieves a classification accuracy of up to 92% compared to experts' manual tracking.

Deep learning is currently the mainstream method for ceramic defect detection, and it requires a large number of defect samples to train the network. However, collecting these defect samples is very time-consuming and deep learning suffers from few-shot learning problems. In this study, a StyleGAN3-based data augmentation method for ceramic defect detection was proposed which can generate ceramic defect samples and thus reduce the data collection work. Experiments show that our method uses less training time, has a more stable training process, and can improve the accuracy of the detection network.
