the goal of this study is to identify optimal sensor data sampling rates for anomaly detection in industrial control systems (ICS). the identification of optimal sensor data sampling rates allows ICS operators to store less data while training adequate anomaly detection models. In this study, the autoencoder method was utilized to enhance the effectiveness of the detection process and statistical (histogram) anomaly scores were applied to determine anomaly threshold points. the experiment on the proposed method was conducted using the Secure Water Treatment (SWaT) and the HIL-based Augmented ICS Security (HIL-HAI) datasets. the results of the experiment demonstrate that the proposed method outperformed the current anomaly detection techniques. the current research in design space articulation tries to solve the problem that comes up because computer generative systems are becoming more complex, and there are more design options. this study makes a contribution to the existing body of research by introducing a technique for form clustering that utilizes K-medoids, a Machine Learning approach. the suggested method uses a clustering method to group design shapes that are similar and then pick a representative body for each cluster in a 2D-Grid Based representation. the efficacy of the process has been empirically validated by applying it to a novel test case and comparing it with other clustering evaluation methods. the accuracy of the results of this evaluation is about the same as that seen in an outside study. this gives us essential information about how to judge machine learning techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

the fluctuation amplitude of the output power and DC side voltage will be directly affected by the change in voltage unbalance (UVF) on AC side of the converter. In order to further analyze the influence of UVF on the output characteristics of voltage source converter (VSC), the positive sequence, negative sequence and zero sequence decomposition of voltage and current are done by symmetric component method, and the mathematical model and output power expression of VSC are derived;the current is decomposed into active component and reactive component, on this basis, variable parameters are introduced into the instruction current to provide the comprehensive expression of the instruction current under different control objectives;afterwards, the relational expressions between UVF and active power, reactive power, DC voltage are derived receptively, and the relation-ships between UVF, variable parameters and active power, reactive power, DC voltage are elaborated in detail. Simulation experiments were carried out in PSCAD software, and the experimental results were consistent with the theoretical analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper aims to explore various classification models and data processing techniques for classifying defects on steel plates. the study is based on a dataset of steel plates with seven different types of defects and seeks to identify the most effective combination of machine learning models and data processing techniques for automatic defect recognition. Key methodologies include data augmentation, feature selection, and dimensionality reduction techniques like SMOTE, PCA, and REF. Various models, including Naive Bayes, Logistic Regression, SVM, Decision Trees, Random Forests, and Neural Networks, are evaluated. the results indicate that Hyperparameter Tuning and REF significantly enhance model performance, with Random Forest and Neural Networks achieving the highest accuracy. Random Forest, due to its interpretability and efficiency, is identified as the best model for this classification task. this research lays a foundation for applying machine learning algorithms in industrial defect detection, promising improvements in automation, efficiency, and production quality. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Class activation mapping (CAM) is a post-hoc explanation method for Convolutional neural networks (CNNs), aiming to visually explain the decision-making process of CNNs. CAM demonstrates superior categorical discrimination capabilities compared to visual explanation methods rooted in backpropagation and perturbation. Five CAM methods have been comprehensively analyzed and discussed, revealing their applications in explaining CNN decision-making. Additionally, the evaluation principles and metrics for CAM and other explainable methods are summarized. A comparative analysis highlights their characteristics, applicability, and inherent limitations. Finally, the challenges faced by CAM methods in the field of explainable research are explored, and future development trends are anticipated. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, an orthogonal hierarchical processing adaptive digital beamforming algorithm (OHP-ADBF) is designed to solve the problem of monopulse measurement of angle in the face of main and side lobe jamming. the algorithm divides the rectangular array into orthogonal azimuth dimension and elevation dimension, and performs hierarchical processing on the two dimensions respectively. In the first stage, the MUSIC algorithm is used to estimate and judge the direction of the main lobe jamming, and the blocking matrix is used to filter it out. then, the sum and difference beam patterns are jointly constrained by the pointing and angle discrimination curves to complete the angle measurement dimension side lobe jamming suppression and beamforming processing. In the second stage, the jamming remaining on the formed beam in the first stage is suppressed. through orthogonal hierarchical processing, the joint suppression of main and side lobes is realized, and the linearity of angle discrimination curve of single pulse angle measurement is maintained. the simulation results show that the algorithm can better suppress the main and side lobe jamming, and make it have high precision single pulse angle measurement performance. © 2023 IEEE.

In some applications, two independent loads are connected to the upper and lower DC-link capacitors, and the T-type three-level rectifier operates in the dual output mode. In these applications, the DC-link voltages control, power exchange relationship and modulation method are quite different from that in single output mode. the instantaneous power exchange principle in the dual output mode is analyzed in this letter. Based on that, an instantaneous power decoupling control (IPDC) is proposed. the proposed method adopts respective regulators for the upper and lower DC-link voltages, and the zero-sequence voltage (ZSV) is injected to decouple the input power. Under balanced or unbalanced DC-link voltages and loads, DC-link voltages and exchanged power can be well controlled with the proposed method. From the analysis of the output voltage of the upper or lower capacitor, buck type rectifier is realized, which improves the operating range of the T-type three-level rectifier, especially in the field of electric vehicle charging. Finally, the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method are verified by experiments. © 2023 IEEE.

Flapping wing aerial vehicles are nowadays in demand due to surveillance, civil needs, espionage and border missions.A lot of challenges exists in the development of autonomous flight missions for the flapping wing aerial vehicles which weigh less than 2 kg. this research focused on the development of data driven control system mathematical model and implementation on flapping wing platform in order to realize the autonomous flight. In this research,behavior of flapping wing aerial system is investigated using inertial measurement unit, barometer, GPS and wireless telemetry. In order to develop the mathematical model estimation as we utilized the real time telemetry data by doing flights in the fields. System parameters data was feed back to ground station with wireless telemetry which would do processing of the data to develop the mathematical model for the pitch, roll, yaw and height control behavior. Instead of relying on the theoretical mathematical models, which often are challenging to implement due to a lot complex mathematical calculations involved, system identification approach has been utilized and practically implemented with successful results. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid increase of the penetration of renewable energy sources in the power system, the inertia level of the power system continues to go down, and the frequency regulation capability is gradually weakened. In addition, the uneven distribution of renewable energy-enriched areas and synchronous power-enriched areas makes the spatial distribution characteristics of inertia more prominent, which seriously threatens the interconnected system frequency stability. Aiming at the above problems, a renewable energy-enriched area inertia assessment method based on the least squares method is proposed. First, the mechanism of regional inertia on the frequency response of the power system is explained. Secondly, the inertia response characteristics of renewable energy units under different control modes are analyzed and treated as controlled current-sources and voltage-sources respectively. Further considering the parameter privacy of renewable energy units, the least squares-based method is adopted to identify the regional inertia;finally, the improved the IEEE-39 bus test system constructed in MATLAB/Simulink simulation software is used to verify the proposed method. the simulation results show that the method is accurate and applicable to the estimation of equivalent inertia of renewable energy power systems under different scenarios. © 2023 IEEE.

Accidents occur predominantly due to the loss of alertness of the driver or due to the drowsiness of the *** order to avoid such mishaps the continuous monitoring of the physiological signals like drowsiness and fatigue would provide the solution to avert the accidents before occurrence. the proposed Short Time Fourier Transform-based Improved Particle Swarm Optimization using Fuzzy Classifier (STFTIPSF) methodology makes use of STFT for yielding a good number of feature, fuzzy classifier for the classification as it is a rule-based one and IPSO procedure for focusing on the features and discovering the best threshold values. the Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) presents the classification accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.
