the study investigates the challenges posed by' partial shading conditions' (PSCs) on a performance and efficiency of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. the primary goal is to find the best photovoltaic array setup to optimize power output while reducing efficiency losses caused by mismatching. the researchers evaluate various PV configurations such as Series (S), Series-Parallel (SP), Total Cross Tied (TCT), Bridge Linked (BL), Honey Comb (HC), and a hybrid of TCT and BL called TCT-BL, focusing on a 4x4 array layout. Six different shading patterns are examined, including diagonal, 'short and narrow', 'short and wide', 'long and narrow', 'long and wide', and random. Based on simulations using Matlab/Simulink and a 130W PV module model, the study suggests that the TCT-BL configuration offers superior power generation, efficiency, and reduced mismatching loss compared to other configurations under most PSCs examined. © 2023 IEEE.

Photovoltaic (PV) power generation is influenced by fluctuating environmental factors and exhibits significant non-linearity, making accurate prediction challenging. this paper constructs photovoltaic power prediction models based on BP neural network and XGBoost algorithms, and experimentally validates their predictive performance. the models are evaluated using metrics such as root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and coefficient of determination (R2). the experimental results indicate that the BP neural network demonstrates stable performance in handling complex nonlinear relationships, while XGBoost achieves higher prediction accuracy and better generalization ability when the dataset is relatively small. this study provides a reference for the selection of photovoltaic power prediction models and lays the foundation for improving prediction accuracy in renewable energy power systems. © 2024 IEEE.

A data-driven voltage control strategy is proposed for real-time optimized distributed voltage control of distribution networks connected to the energy storage system (ESS) and distributed photovoltaics (PVs) with high penetration. Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methods are used in the control of voltage in the distribution grid. Firstly, based on the division of distributed networks, the decision-making process of combined distributed voltage control is given, which is mainly based on the reactive power compensation of photovoltaic inverters and supplemented by ESS active power regulation. A multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (MADRL) model is then applied to the distributed voltage control model. the Multi-Agent Twin Delay Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (MATD3) algorithm is then applied. Finally, offline training and online testing are performed on a 33-bus test network with a branch structure to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at the trajectory tracking control problem of underactuated autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) with unknown dynamic model parameters and time-varying ocean disturbances, a dynamic surface adaptive control strategy based on radial basis function neural network is proposed to complete the desired three-dimensional trajectory tracking. Firstly, an output redefinition method is used to solve the underactuated problem. Secondly, a dynamic surface control method is used to overcome the 'explosion of complexity' problem in traditional backstepping control, and complexity of the control law design is simplified. At the same time, a nonlinear damping term is added in control law to overcome unknown external disturbances. Finally, unknown dynamic model parameters are approximated by a neural network, and the neural network weights are estimated online by an adaptive law. the Lyapunov theory is used to prove that all signals of closed-loop system are semi-globally uniformly bounded, and effectiveness of the control law is verified by comparative simulations. © 2024 IEEE.

the power output of photovoltaic (PV) generation is influenced by various environmental factors, exhibiting non-linearity and uncertainty. this paper constructs photovoltaic power prediction models based on BP neural network and support vector regression (SVR) algorithms, and performs a comparative analysis of model performance using metrics such as root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and coefficient of determination (R2). the results show that the BP neural network is suitable for handling complex nonlinear large-scale data, while SVR demonstrates higher accuracy and generalization ability under small sample conditions. this study provides a reference for the selection and optimization of photovoltaic power prediction models. © 2024 IEEE.

the air conditioning load has good space thermal energy storage characteristics, but the existing air conditioning control strategy does not make full use of this characteristic, leading to problems such as insufficient power utilization rate, resource waste and large peak and valley value gap of air conditioning load. therefore, a control strategy based on NTAC value of air conditioning is proposed. By using the regulation strategy in the demand response events, the results show that the time-varying complementary NTAC regulation strategy can well meet the demand response events, and reduce the waste of resources and improve the power utilization rate under the premise of satisfying the comfort level. © 2024 IEEE.

Microgrid optimization scheduling, a pivotal facet of intelligent grid optimization, is crucial in curbing energy consumption, mitigating environmental degradation, and trimming user electricity expenses. the overarching aim of microgrids extends beyond mere power supply adequacy to encompass enhanced economic viability and environmental sustainability. Hence, this study sets forth a multi-objective optimization scheduling paradigm tailored for microgrids operating in islanded mode. this framework holistically integrates the operational costs and environmental impact considerations of microgrid systems. the constellation of distributed generation assets within microgrid systems encompasses photovoltaic arrays, wind turbines, diesel engines, microturbines, and batteries. To effectively tackle the proposed optimization conundrum, an enhanced jellyfish search algorithm is posited in alignment with the structural nuances and attributes of the model. Two distinct operation scheduling strategies are scrutinized, and their scheduling outcomes are deliberated across varied optimization objectives. Simulation outcomes underscore the model's efficacy and supremacy in curtailing user electricity expenditures, decreasing environmental pollution, and fostering the optimized operation of microgrids. © 2024 IEEE.

the advancements of smart grid embedded Internet of things for monitor, control and collection of energy data from smart meter to data aggregator points. In this aspect two-way smart meter current challenges of data privacy and cyber-security concerns. To overcome these constraints numerous authenticated key agreements schemes considered to enhances performances and security. However, high latency and heavy cryptographic operation entails time and bits overheads. Moreover, quantum computing can break the classical encryption techniques and mathematical barriers of cyber defensive properties. therefore, proposed quantum key distribution ensemble Paillier cryptosystem for maintains privacy-preserving and securing of smart metering infrastructures. the details security analysis showed proposed protocol can resistance various cyber-attacks with quantum computing threats. Furthermore, performances assessments based on extensive simulation of computation time and bits proposed protocols are leading position from existing schemes. thus, the novel proposed key distribution enables efficiency, security, and data privacy which is emerging notions for the smart metering infrastructures. © 2024 IEEE.

this project proposed to develop an IoT device that is equipped with multiple sensors to monitor patients' vital readings such as body temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation. the IoT device will have a complete set of monitoring activities of all the vital readings and is programmable. therefore, this device enables the doctor to monitor their patient's health remotely. the project will be using Agile methodology. the IoT device will send the data to the cloud and the data will then be extracted to an application to be further analyzed and visualized. In addition, the data that has been analyzed and visualized will be displayed on a Power Apps. this enables the doctor to not only monitor the patient's reading but also retrieve useful information based on the data analysis performed by the application. In this paper, a literature study will be performed to identify the existing healthcare monitoring system. the limitations of a remotely monitoring system will be identified. the outcome of this project will be the development of remote patient monitoring device and the data analysis and data visualization that will be displayed in a Power Apps website. © 2022 IEEE.

It is presented in this paper a new procedure for checking the quality of fire-resistant fluids and issuing permits for their use in steam and gas turbine lubrication and control systems. It provides an overview of the basic chemical composition for such fluids, the anticipated difficulties associated with manufacturing them in Russia, and the requirements for obtaining a permit to use equivalent Russianmade fluids. Furthermore, it outlines the joint efforts and knowhow exchange between Mosenergo, Inter RAO, Rosenergoatom, RusGidro, and Power Machines, JSC as key players engaged in harmonizing the use of fire-resistant fluids in the Russian power generation industry. A second purpose of this paper is to describe a research and development project aimed at building a laboratory bench that assists in the evaluation of the properties and longevity of several different types of fireresistant fluids and mixtures. the results of physico-chemical studies, tribological properties, results of mixing/compatibility tests and the results of chromatographic studies of the new Russian-produced turbine fire-resistant oil are introduced. © 2024 IEEE.
