During of the first twenty-five years of its existence, the informatics course in Russian school was structured around following crosscutting content lines: information and information processes;representation of information;computer;modeling and formalization;algorithmization and programming;Information Technology;computer telecommunications, social informatics. Recently thematic block Mathematical foundations of computer science has been more clearly formed in it. In addition traditional line of algorithmization and programming, which was transformed into the thematic block Algorithms and programming elements, which includes robotics and mathematical modeling, has developed significantly. In general content of the course of informatics is stable, its fundamental component is the basis of the state final certification of graduates of primary and senior schools. At the same time students, their parents as well as representatives of the higher education and IT industry express concern about content of the modern school informatics course, rightly believing that this discipline has much greater potential for mastering such key competences of the digital economy as basic programming, basics of working with data, communication in modern digital environments. Since 2012, Russian students successfully participate in the international distant competition Bebras, in the tasks of which priority is given to the issues of theoretical informatics as the basis of modern information technologies. the subject field of the competition is in many respects consonant with the content lines of Russian informatics course in school, the main differences lie in approaches to the representation of key concepts, ideas, methods and algorithms. Materials of the international competition Bebras can become a basis for the modernization of Russian informatics course in school by expanding its theoretical base as well as ensuring the unity of its theoretical and practical components.

Model-driven engineering (MDE) techniques are increasingly being used to address many of the development and operational lifecycle concerns of large-scale component-based systems. One such concern lacking significant research deals with the validation of quality-of-service (QoS) properties of component-based systems throughout their development lifecycle instead of waiting until system integration time, which is very late and can be detrimental to project schedules and costs. this paper describes our novel MDE-based solution to address this challenge. At the core of our solution approach are (1) a set of domain-specific modeling languages that allow us to mimic component "business logic," and (2) a generative programming framework that synthesizes empirical benchmarking code for system emulation and continuous QoS evaluation

the intrinsic redundancy of large-scale control systems allows to differentiate between the nominal system configuration, where the dynamics of the plant are controlled through a specific subset of actuators, and the possible configurations that arise from the combination of all the existing actuators (nominal plus back-up ones). After the occurrence of an unexpected event (component fault, isolation of a specific area due to security concerns, etc), some of the back-up system actuators can be used in order to guarantee that the system performance will remain within some admissible margins. thus, given a scenario that causes a non-admissible system operation with the nominal configuration, the possibility to use back-up actuators in order to improve the system performance expands the traditional fault tolerant control scenario defining a new problem. Accordingly, this work is devoted to the introduction of the problem which is solved by formulating the actuator selection as a mixed-integer programming optimization. A water distribution network is used with the aim to illustrate the new problem implications as well as to demonstrate the validity of the proposed solution.

Automation and control systems provide their own programming and modeling paradigms in parallel to theory well known from computer science. Especially the concepts of component-based software engineering highly influence the design of embedded systems, which include automation and control systems. this work analyses what is and is not a ldquosoftware componentrdquo in the context of the two standards IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499. Utilizing the definition of component frameworks and component system architectures, the potentials and problems of an integrative approach in order to utilize both standards within the same platform was discussed.

Block bid were introduced in power exchanges to allow generators with high fixed cost component (start-up and shut-down cost) participate in the market. However, block bid has been designed with very simple structure. Rigid structure in block bid often leads to them being rejected paradoxically. With this factor as motivation, we present new bid structures which retains objective of block bid, but brings in more flexibility, resulting in more liquidity in market.

the tools used to generate implementations from component descriptions are called component generators. the protocol considered supports call processing by controlling the set-up and take-down of connections carrying telephone calls. the exercises discussed investigate the use of component generators in the construction of the protocol handler and related components. the component descriptions and generic architectures developed in these exercises are built by composing reusable components and applying generative tools. the component generators use information obtained from the component descriptions to instantiate the generic architecture. In addition to providing a perspective on the approach to component generation, related work in knowledge-based software engineering is presented. these exercises are generalized, outlining a process for developing software which takes advantage of component generator technology and supports several forms of component composition.< >

this paper proposes a new face recognition approach by using kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) and hierarchical radial basis function (HRBF) network classification model. To improve the quality of the face images, a series of image pre-processing techniques, which include histogram equalization, edge detection and geometrical transformation are used. the KPCA is employed to extract features for reducing the dimension of the face pattern, and the HRBF network is used to identify the faces. To accelerate the convergence of the HRBF network and improve the quality of the solutions, the extended compact genetic programming (ECGP) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) is applied to optimize the HRBF network structure and parameters. the experimental results show that the proposed framework is efficient for face recognition.

In this paper we present the model based design optimization on a micromechanical system which is described by a VHDL-AMS behaviour model, based on the Cosserat theory. the application is a gyroscope test structure developed by ST MICROELECTRONICS. the schematic of the microactuator is built tip front component models developed in Lancaster within previous work. the equations of motion of the beam model were derived using Cosserat theory. the rigid body model wits adjusted to capture the behaviour of the central disk with comb-drives of the microactuator target structure. Within the model based design optimization system MODOS developed at the UNIVERSITY OF BREMEN a model optimization and a model based design optimization were performed. In this report we represent the theoretical background of the modeling and optimization process and publish the received results.

Spatial behavioral types encode information on the tempospatial behavior of components acting in the physical space. that makes it possible to utilize the well established concept of type systems with its well studied benefits for programming languages, e.g., fast automatic detection of incompatibilities and coercion, also in the cyber-physical world of domains such as embedded systems. So, spatial behavioral types support development and better maintenance of systems leading to a reduction of errors, improvement of safety and, in consequence, lower expenditure. In this position paper, we summarize existing work and develop our ideas for a spatial behavioral type concept. In particular, we turn our attention to making the spatial behavioral types easily usable by non-experts. Besides of a semantics that resembles traditional types systems, our method offers a syntax based on easily comprehensible regular expressions while systems can be verified using fully-automatic tools.
