In this paper, we develop a mathematical model of a load control mechanism for SIP server signaling networks based on a hysteretic technique. We investigate loss-based overload control, as proposed in recent IETF documents. the queuing model takes into account three types of system state - normal load, overload, and discard. the hysteretic control is made possible by introducing two thresholds, L and H, in the buffer of total size R. We constructed an analytical model of SIP server with K-state MMPP flow, input flow and bi-level hysteretic overload control mechanism to investigate the performance indicators of a SIP server in the case of bursty input message flow. Algorithms for computation the key performance parameters of the system were introduced. A numerical example illustrating the control mechanism that minimizes the return time from overloading states satisfying the throttling and mean control cycle time constraints is also presented.

A photon-counting system based on an appropriate microcontroller has been developed. this system controls, acquires, processes and stores the data from a high-resolution multi-channel gas analyzer and provides accurate photon-counting measurements using suitable Photomultiplier Tubes (PMTs) as detectors of the Raman scattering signals. the implemented system ensures low power consumption (90 W for the overall system), low cost, increased reliability and high sensitivity. Also the entire unit allows auto-calibration and drift compensation. Finally, the present photon-counting system can be used in a broad field of applications, in medical electronics (e.g. confocal microscopy), air pollution optical measurements, laser sounding of the atmosphere, and electrooptical systems, provided that PMTs are used in the pulse-counting mode.

One of the most challenging security issues in clouds is to define and manage different levels according to isolation, service delivery and scalability concepts in clouds. these security levels need to be protected from disclosing to unauthorized users. Policy-Management models are the most appropriate solutions to create and manage security levels in clouds. However, these models increase the process of matching access requests to defined policies considerably. In this paper, we proposed a reliable access management framework based on multi-level policies and sequences. the suggested model introduces each level of security as s sequence according to the inheritance concepts to classify security levels efficiently and to enhance the process of access control by elimination of un-necessary re-matching. our results showed the suggested model is able to decrease the access response time without affecting the security of the environments.

Electro-hydraulic shaking table(EHST) is a useful experimental apparatus to real-time replicate the desired acceleration vibration signal for evaluating the performance of the tested specimen structural systems. A three axis six degree-of-freedom(DOF) EHST system with eight hydraulic actuators is presented in the paper. A decouple control method is employed to lower the acceleration couple among the six DOF. the procedure of the decouple controller is programmed in MATLAB/Simulink, and then compiled to a realtime PC with Microsoft Visual *** for implementation. the experimental results demonstrate that a better tracking performance withthe improved servo controller is achieved in experiments by using actual EHST.

Soft robotics is rapidly evolving, fueled by advancements in controllable materials. Liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) stand out withtheir exceptional actuation capabilities, ease of processing, and built-in programmability. However, current LCE robots struggle with limited dexterity and adaptability, hindering their real-world potential. We address this limitation by introducing a novel modular design approach that unlocks the full potential of LCEs. Our miniature, highly deformable soft robot utilizes reconfigurable LCE modules for bending and twisting, enabling enhanced manipulability through serial combinations. Demonstrating its dexterity, the modular robot performs intricate fingertip manipulation, allowing a miniature gripper to rotate a small object. this achievement highlights the reconfigurability and utility of our system, paving the way for more dexterous and versatile LCE-based robots.

the purpose of this study is to analyze the health and power quality analysis of motors installed at different blocks of Johar Town Lahore installed by Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) Lahore. Induction motors are the most important components of industries due to their cost-effectiveness, robustness and high efficiency. However, these motors are prone to some mechanical and electrical faults with time. Most of the faults are due to mismanagement of power and load variations. Usually, health monitoring and quality analysis of induction motors is laborious work. this study was conducted by keeping in mind the most widely used standards of the international Electro-technical Commission (IEC) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE). To enhance the effectiveness of the electrical systems, a detailed inspection and knowledge are needed for every power system. this technique involves taking measurements from motors in different states i.e. rest, transient and steady. the comparison of the results on different parameters withthe help of graphical data is presented in this study for the safe and economical use of machines. the study covers only seven motors out of 596 installed motors at tube well sites in the city of Lahore covering almost 8 million people. there is no existing system to analyze the performance, efficiency and health of these motors. this study may be helpful in quality assurance and save from critical failure that tends to disturb the water supply system. It can also beneficial of saving the cost of repair and plant's down time. It may be recommended to analyze thoroughly the remaining tube well motors for the beneficial of WASA water supply system.

Due to its biological conditions, the cartilage of the knee joint is exposed to overuse injuries caused by chronic, repetitive movements that cause microscopic damage, resulting in softening, fibrosis and the formation of fissures called chondromalacia. the friction of cartilage surfaces generates vibrations and acoustic sounds. Vibroarthrography is a non-invasive method of analysing registered mechanical vibrations. the authors compare the six descriptors including the standard and the proposed ones based on selected frequencies and processing spectrogram results. the paper provides effectiveness analysis of descriptors in two diagnostic cases: the healthy knee group (66 signals) vs the first stage chondromalacia (26 signals) and the third stage chondromalacia (36 signals) vs the osteoarthritis (26 signals). the effectiveness is assessed using the overlap coefficient. the paper indicates the descriptors withthe highest diagnostic potential for classification accuracy.

Some companies have extremely strict requirements for the safety management of personnel and equipment in the production plant, including real-time counting of the number of personnel. However, in practice, it may not be convenient to use traditional access control for real-time counting due to production efficiency. this study aims to design a video streaming-based visual counting method for personnel at critical entrances and exits. To achieve this goal, we extensively evaluated and compared the performance of traditional target detection algorithms to find the one that is suitable for our task scenario. Subsequently, we delved into the RCNN [7] family of algorithms and the YOLO [8], [9]family of algorithms for both two-phase target detection algorithms and single-phase target detection algorithms. We used manually annotated datasets to train the relevant models and tested these algorithms for performance evaluation in task scenarios. In the end, we chose the YOLOv7 and StrongSORT [9], [13] based algorithms to successfully implement the personnel counting task and achieved a small error through model optimization to make it suitable for complex scenarios.
