Clustering is a method of unsupervised learning, and a common technique for statistical data analysis used in many fields, including machinelearning, datamining, patternrecognition, image analysis and bioinformatics. Recently, biclustering (or co-clustering), performing simultaneous clustering on the row and column dimensions of the data matrix, has been shown to be remarkably effective in a variety of applications. In this paper we propose a novel approach to biclustering gene expression data based on Modular Singular Value Decomposition (Mod-SVD). Instead of applying SVD directly on on data matrix, the proposed approach computes SVD on modular fashion. Experiments conducted on synthetic and real dataset demonstrated the effectiveness of the algorithm in gene expression data.

In this paper, we propose an automatic learning method for gesture recognition. We combine two different patternrecognition techniques: the Self-Organizing Map (SOM) and Support Vector machine (SVM). First, we apply the SUM to divide the sample data into phases and construct a state machine. Next, we apply the SVM to learn the transition conditions between nodes. An independent SVM is constructed for each node. Of the various patternrecognition techniques for multi-dimensional data, the SUM is suitable for categorizing data into groups, and thus it is used in the first process. On the other hand, the SVM is suitable for partitioning the feature space into regions belonging to each class, and thus it is used in the second process. Our approach is unique and effective for multi-dimensional and time-varying gesture recognition. the proposed method is a general gesture recognition method that can handle any kinds of input data from any input device. In the experiment presented in this paper, we used two Nintendo Wii Remote controllers, withthree-dimensional acceleration sensors, as input devices. the proposed method successfully learned the recognition models of several gestures.

Case-Based Reasoning is an important method for the reuse of engineering knowledge. A study has been carried out by the authors on the key technologies that are needed in a Case-Based knowledge system to support engineering design. this paper reports a uniform dynamic representation mechanism based on granularity to represent the engineering knowledge, in the form of cases and rules, for the design of fixtures on machine tools. Based on the Nearest-Neighbour algorithm, an algorithm of case retrieval is brought forth to support the dynamic adaptation of index words and to optimize case retrieval by some design rules. It has been identified that case adaptation is one of the most difficult issues of Case-Based Reasoning for fixture design. Design rules have been used to improve the automation and quality of case adaptation. According to the characteristics of fixtures in the CAD data, several miningpatterns can be provided, including case cluster analysis, design rules mining, CAD data criterion mining and user application patternmining. then an application platform for mechanical CAD datamining based on cases is built, and a feasible way has come up with to settle the problem of design knowledge acquisition. Based on the developed key technologies, a Case-Based knowledge system for fixture design has been developed and has been tested and applied in an aviation corporation.

We made our attempt to expose a base strategy from past log files and implement an online learning system which receives information from the environment. Regarding to its world reputation, this article tries to investigate some parts of soccer coach rules and use up-to-date methods according to datamining and neural network's concepts. We study the type and time of occurring patterns in coach with our experience and ideas clearly.
