Digital watermarking technology proposed in recent years is a new technology for copyright protection and authentication for digital contents. Comparing with still pictures, video watermark technology must meet blind-detection, requirement. In this paper, according to feature of motion vector, a new video watermark algorithm based on motion vector is presented. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can meet the real-time requirement of video watermarking, and it is also, compatible with present video compression standards. the embedded watermark does not affect the I-frame image quality and can be extracted blindly.

We also proposed a new self-adaptable merging algorithm to improve the subjective quality of the synthetic B-frame(bi-direction prediction frame) image. the use of P.-frame(prediction frame) and B-frame enhances the video compression, ratio, and affine-transform makes the synthesis algorithm fast and easy. the high efficiency, of this codec was demostrat in two experiments.

Recent interest in virtual reality and multimedia has provided a great impetus to the development of automatic techniques for building graphical CAD/CAM models of objects and environments by sensing reality itself. the learning of models in this way is essential, particularly in terms of production times and attaining the required high fidelity needed for many applications Research has produced techniques for extracting full 3D shape models using a variety of sensors and a spectrum of techniques. these include the use of static video cameras, mobile video cameras (e.g. walk through video), multiple camera platforms and/or specialist active range sensors (typically based on laser striping or sonar). this paper introduces the principles and methodologies underlying several of these methods and presents algorithms and examples from systems representative of three major approaches: models from silhouettes, models from active range sensors and, finally, models from passive uncalibrated video sequences.

MCTF is one of the major techniques for temporal scaling in SVC that consists of prediction and update steps. Adaptive prediction approaches have been studied to derive high quality images in lower layer, however it requires large computational cost. An effective method for detecting road surface conditions is the use of polarization features. In this paper we describe this method, for which we use two cameras for taking vertical and horizontal polarized images simultaneously. Generally, camera calibrations have to be processed, however in this paper we explain how we managed to avoid this processing, by introducing the omni-directional polarization image capture method, using an omni-directional camera and a polarization filter. this method enables to take vertical and horizontal polarized images at the same time, without using the camera calibration.

A digital video Stabilization (DVS) system removes the unwanted shaking in the videos acquired by hand-held cameras and preserves the panning. In this paper, a digital video stabilization system is proposed based upon adaptive cerebellar model articulation controller (CMAC) filtering. A CMAC is a manifestation of the associative memory learning structure present in the cerebellum of human being. Adaptive CMAC filtering has favorable properties of small size, good generalization, rapid learning and dynamic response. thus, it is more suitable for high-speed signalprocessing applications. the adaptive CMAC is used to adjust the coefficients of IIR filter employed in the proposed model. the training of CMAC is based upon fuzzy rule. the efficacy of the proposed adaptive CMAC filtering has been validated by evaluating it on a set of test video sequences.

Quality based frame selection is a crucial task in video face recognition, to both improve the recognition rate and to reduce the computational cost. In this paper we present a framework that uses a variety of cues (face symmetry, sharpness, contrast, closeness of mouth, brightness and openness of the eye) to select the highest quality facial images available in a video sequence for recognition. Normalized feature scores are fused using a neural network and frames with high quality scores are used in a Local Gabor Binary Pattern Histogram Sequence based face recognition system. Experiments on the Honda/UCSD database shows that the proposed method selects the best quality face images in the video sequence, resulting in improved recognition performance.

Interference often appears between camera and object during imaging. In this paper, an image restoration method in video sequences based on cross-correlation is proposed. A submerged object with modulated light and interference is recorded by a high speed camera. the captured data and the modulated light are regarded as input signal and reference signal, respectively. A new pixel matrix is obtained and can be restored by filtering additive noise after executing a cross-correlation operation between the signals. Experimental results demonstrate that the method can eliminate interference and enhance image quality efficiently.
