the growth of internet used automobile shopping has been tremendous in recent years. It is important for sellers to correctly evaluate the price of the used cars. From the literature, classification is an approach that assists in data interpretation by analyzing data and providing a second opinion on data among other tasks most of the classifiers used for car price prediction suffered from lower accuracy ratios and higher error ratios. In this work, a hybrid feature selection model for predicting the price of used cars was developed. the developed model includes a CfsSubsetEval to determine the best feature subset, rule-based GA to search for the best solution, and a neural network for the final price prediction based on the selected features. the developed model was implemented in a Java programming language. the evaluation showed that the developed hybrid feature selection model achieved better performances with the correlation coefficient, mean absolute error and root mean square error of 0.9818, 1.1809, and 1.5643 respectively, compared to other related state-of-the-art algorithms. the results validated the efficiency of the developed model for used car price prediction. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

For improving the comprehensive performance of distributed drive multi-axle special vehicles under multiple operating conditions, a hierarchical drive allocation strategy for dynamically coordinating vehicle performance is proposed. An 11-DOF vehicle dynamics model and a vehicle reference model considering slip-steering are established. Combined with the characteristics of the four-axle vehicle slip-steering in the upper controller, a sliding-mode variable structure control algorithm based on adaptive error is designed to decide the expected additional yaw moment. In the lower controller, a dynamic adjustment mechanism of vehicle performance based on fuzzy controller is established, and quadratic programming algorithm is used to solve the optimal driving torque of each wheel. Finally, the co-simulation platform of MATLAB/Simulink and TruckSim is built and verified by simulation experiments. the results show that the dynamic performance control strategy can effectively improve the stability of the vehicle under high-speed and large-angle conditions, and improve the dynamic performance of the vehicle at low-speed and small corners while ensuring stability, it is of great significance to improve the multi-condition performance of multi-axle special vehicles. © 2022 IEEE.

In this work, a novel value function-based reinforcement learning (RL) approach, descending dynamic policy programming (DDPP) is proposed to address the issues of sample-efficiency and learning stability in control problems. Extended from the state-of-the-art Kullback-Leibler divergence regularized RL method dynamic policy programming (DPP) that punishes the over-large policy update during learning, DDPP employs a descending strategy of the parameters to dynamically control the penalty term. Evaluated by several benchmark control tasks in OpenAI gym, the proposed method successfully demonstrates its superiorities in both learning stability and sample-efficiency compared with the related baseline approaches and therefore indicates a great potential of the descending strategy of Kullback-Leibler divergence regularization towards more practical implementations using RL. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper formulated a Mixed Integer Non-Linear programming (MINLP) for HHC daily planning. the main issue of HHC planning problems is to assign multiple caregivers to serve patients during working hours. this problem is modelled to minimize the total operational costs, consisting of vehicle fuel costs, patient preference violation penalties, and carbon tax costs. the model is tested with real data at RSUD Dr Moewardi to provide an overview of the model that can be used to solve an existing problem. Ten patients must be served in their homes by two caregivers, where each patient has a time window and caregiver’s gender preference. the model was solved using LINGO 18.0 and obtained the optimal result of the order of visits by female caregivers is 1-10-4-11-9-7-1, while for male caregivers is 1-5-2-3-6-8-1. the objective function is 123,393 IDR with a total fuel cost of 52,980 IDR, total carbon emission tax of 412.89 IDR, and total the patient preference violation penalty of 70,000 IDR. this results can be used as a decision-making tool by the HHC coordinator. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

this paper proposes a new technique named "Process Logo" for visualizing the causal relationship between the activities of a process (Control flow). Traditional process mining algorithms rely on representing the activity as a sequence of operations modeled using nodes and edges, as the number of activities increases, the representation of the entire control flow becomes quite tedious. Process logo is a compact yet highly informative method for visually representing the process model. It visually summarizes the number of activities, sequence of execution, relative significance, and dependency between activities. It uses a dynamic programming method—sequence alignment and clustering approach with Levenshtein measure as a distance measure. the proposed method is evaluated on the synthetic event log, the experimental result is promising. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Elliptic curve cryptography is a widely recognized method of using a public key cryptosystem for encrypting and decrypting data. the message must be transformed to points on an Elliptic Curve using a mapping algorithm in order to send the message. this process of mapping the message to the point on the elliptic curve is done by applying a well-known mapping algorithm. Elliptic curve cryptography is widely acknowledged to have simpler mathematical operations compared to other cryptographic methods. However, researchers in the field of cryptography have faced challenges in mapping plain messages onto points on an elliptic curve and reversing the process at the receiver's end for decryption. Recent advancements have led to the development of mapping techniques that are resistant to frequency analysis. In this paper, we have discussed a well-known mapping scheme that has been used to map plain text messages to points on elliptic curves. However, the time taken to map a message and encrypt the points takes a substantial amount of time. this latency can be reduced if we parallelize the mapping process. In this paper, we have parallelized the reverse mapping phase of the scheme at the receiver's end to reduce the total communication time. Performance results after parallelization have been recorded and provided in the later section of the paper in tabular and graphical form. © 2024 IEEE.

With the continuous variation of the power demand and the weather-dependent characteristics of the distributed energy resources (DERs), the balance of operation security and customers' benefits, is not easy to harmonize, especially in the context of the DERs' development such as solar, wind energy at present. In practice, we have to find a good solution to meet the objective of photovoltaic energy output's maximization and the objective of power loss's minimization and etc. But multi-objective optimization problem (MOOP) usually consumes a lot of time to solve and can not be converged in some cases with a fairly large complex network. In this paper, an enhancement of utilizing an open-source platform to solve MOOP for a distribution system integrated with DERs has been proposed. All implemented calculation and programming are optimized to reduce the consuming time, thus it is very flexible and legal to apply economically in practice. Specifically, it is expected to apply the whole model and its own results in the operation activity of power distribution companies. © 2022 IEEE.

the basic principle of phase-locked loop is introduced, and the software phase-locking method based on synchronous rotation coordinates is adopted. the phase-locked loop simulation model is established in the Matlab/Simulink environment, and the phase-locked method of constructing orthogonal vectors by SOGI transform is simulated and verified. Finally, two phases are constructed by software phase locking method based on SOGI transform, and the software programming process is given for experimental verification. © 2022 IEEE.

Restarting a solver gives us the chance to learn from things that went good or bad in the search until the restart point. the benefits of restarts are often justified with being able to employ different, better strategies and explore different, more promising parts of the search space. In that light, it is an interesting question to evaluate whether carrying over detected structures and collected statistics across a restart benefits the subsequent search, or even counteracts the anticipated diversification from the previous, unsuccessful search. In this paper, we will discuss four different types of global information that can potentially be re-used after a restart of a mixed-integer programming (MIP) solver, present technical details of how to carry them through a represolve after a restart, and show how such an information transfer can help to speed up the state-of-the-art commercial MIP solver FICO Xpress by 7% on the instances where a restart is performed.

Additive manufacturing (AM) enables on-demand production of spare parts and enhances supply chain visibility by downstream shift of part production;however, it poses supply chain redesign challenges. Integration of sustainability objectives into AM spare parts supply chains is vital to evaluate the long-term transition potential of AM to meet global environmental goals and enhance corporate social responsibility. Developing a multi-objective model is critical to address the complex interaction between economic viability and environmental sustainability in AM-enabled spare parts supply chains. this study proposes a mixed integer linear programming model formulated as a bi-objective optimization problem to minimize the costs and carbon emissions of the AM-enabled spare part supply chain operations. A lexicographic approach was used to solve this bi-objective optimization problem with the Gurobi solver. If the cost objective function is given high priority, the optimal cost value is $5,900171 and the total carbon emissions obtained are 138.1 tCO2e. If the environmental objective is given higher priority, the optimal carbon emissions value is reduced to 128.9 tCO2e, however, the cost value obtained is significantly higher at $6523143. these results provide valuable insights for strategic decision-makers to carefully consider the trade-offs between cost and environmental objectives to achieve the desired balance. © 2025 the Authors.
