Function visibility vulnerability is one of the most important issues in blockchain and smart contract security as it allows attackers to easily gain access to huge amounts of digital assets. Move is a security-focused smart contract programming language adopted by blockchain projects with large market capitalization like Aptos and Sui. To reduce the possibility of developers incorrectly defining privileged functions to be accessed by anyone, Move makes function visibility private by default. However, Move's prevention of function visibility vulnerability has limitations and its complex function visibility definition specification increases the security risk. this paper analyzes the function visibility vulnerability in Move from the perspective of principle and real-world example, showing that function visibility vulnerability still exists in Move. To address this issue, we propose FVscan, a tool designed to detect incorrect function visibility definitions in on-chain Move smart contracts. We conducted a 24-hour experiment using FVscan on the Aptos and Sui mainnet and found a total of 1,850 functions with incorrect visibility definitions. Evaluation results show that FV scan is effective in detecting function visibility definition.

Currently, one of the fastest-growing industries in the world is the automotive industry. More and more vehicles are encountered on the road that have Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) installed to perform complex operations while driving. they constantly monitor the environment around the vehicle and reduce the risk of traffic accidents. In this paper, the ADAS solution for estimating the distance of detected pedestrians and drawing a 2D top-view map of their positions in the vicinity of the vehicle is proposed. the solution processes frames simultaneously captured by four cameras located on different sides of the vehicle. It is developed using the C programming language and finally implemented on a real ADAS embedded platform. the proposed solution achieved high performance when tested on video sequences captured by real automotive cameras. Furthermore, it is capable of processing 15 frames per second when operating with state-of-the-art automotive camera resolutions. © 2022 University of Split, FESB.

Detection of ocular disorders like glaucoma needs immediate actions in clinical practice to prevent irreversible vision loss. Although several detection methods exist, they usually perform segmentation of optic disc followed by classification to detect glaucoma in clinical fundus images. In such cases, the important visual features are ignored and the classification accuracy is majorly affected by inaccurate segmentation. Further, the deep learning-based existing methods demand the downsampling of fundus images from high-resolution to low-resolution which results in loss of image details, thereby degrading the glaucoma classification performance. To handle these issues, we propose a feature modulating two-stream deep convolutional neural network (CNN). the network accepts the full fundus image and the region of interest (ROI) outlined by clinicians as input to each stream to capture more detailed visual features. A feature modulation technique is also proposed as an intrinsic module in the proposed network to further enrich the feature representation by computing the feature-level correlation between two streams. the proposed model is evaluated on a recently introduced large-scale glaucoma dataset, namely G1020 and has achieved state-of-the-art glaucoma detection performance. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Lateral control has been the most vital problem for vehicle control, especially in the context of automated driving. this paper presents a novel lateral control approach based on the concept of flow guidance for automated vehicles. With pre-planned digitized desired path, a convergent flow field of reference velocity vector is generated. Variable preview distance is designed to increase both stability and path-tracking performance based on lateral deviation, lateral acceleration limit, and longitudinal speed reference. then a feedforward + feedback steering control architecture is adopted to follow the reference velocity vector. Meanwhile, vehicle state estimation of position and velocity is designed for lateral control implementation. Simulations in MATLAB/Simulink and IPG CarMaker are designed to examine the effectiveness of the proposed control approach and comparisons are carried out with a state-of-the-art standard driver model. Results show that the proposed lateral can achieve satisfactory path-tracking performance while maintaining vehicle stability. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

With the advantages of flexibility and miniaturization, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) has been widely applied to operate sensing tasks in many complicated environments. Based on the airborne sensors, a UAV can capture multiple videos or snapshots for monitoring and data analysis. However, the scarce computing resource of one single UAV may cause an unacceptable execution delay for image processing, especially when a batch of images are captured in a very short period of time. To solve the challenge, we propose a UAV swarm based distributed computing collaboration structure to integrate the computing resource of UAVs for real-time sensing tasks. Specifically, a UAV is elected as the coordinator to conduct the resource scheduling strategy for the computing cooperation among the remaining UAVs. In order to improve the utilization of computing resource, different layers of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) are computed by diverse UAVs. these UAVs can rapidly process the batch of images in a pipeline manner. Moreover, we formulate a non-linear programming model to minimize the batch execution time. A Distributed CNN based Resource Scheduling (DCRS) algorithm is proposed to obtain the minimal execution time based on deep reinforcement learning. Simulation results demonstrate that our schemes not only can reduce the execution time but also can improve the computing resource utilization significantly. © 2021 IEEE.

In today's world, the data storage is getting increased due to (i) business and banking information, (ii) personalized data, (iii) research improvements on the field of data retrieval, pattern and future prediction over the retrieved data, (iv) improvement in machine learning algorithms, (v) social media and (vi) higher e-mail transactions. If the information value is higher, then that increases possibility and attracts hacker towards the available or transacted information. this clearly says that the field area of research is very much in need to focus and further improvement towards authentication security. the authentication security can be provided by using some devices like (i) finger print sensor, (ii) face recognition devices, etc., but these leads to additional cost and additional device dependent which reduces the ease approach of authentication. When the authentication mechanism need to be improved without any additional sensors then the password entering scheme will come into the picture and this password entering mechanism can be researched and improved better. this leads to the found, bag of password approach. In the bag of password technique, the major issue found is on the end user side to remember multiple passwords for authentication purpose. this issue is been addressed by making the uniform distribution passwords and reducing probability of every password occurrence at least once. As a result here for the proposed technique, the best programmatic language will be selected from the three trending programming languages like PHP, Python and Java to implement and recommending those based on various aspects for authentication mechanism. © 2021 IEEE.

Sparse Iterative Covariance-based Estimation (SPICE) is a typically hyperparameter free algorithm for DOA (Direction of Arrival) estimation. In this paper, we modify the SPICE criterion to form a weighted 2 minimization. Instead of the weighted SPICE with the single weighting value, the proposed algorithm exploits multiple and different weighting values to further enhance the sparsity of the solution. Numerical examples demonstrate that the proposed algorithm produces better accuracy of DOA estimation and higher spatial resolution compared to several typical methods of sparse signal recovery. © 2021 IEEE.

the non-contact interaction proposed in this paper is a new interaction method based on artificial intelligence Internet of things (AIoT), which can effectively reduce the risk of epidemic transmission and reduce the number of trips back and forth during work in factory production lines, thus improving production efficiency. this paper presents a contactless interaction system based on computer vision and Internet of things technology, with a visual programming platform and a front-end display platform for WeChat applets, effectively reducing the user's threshold. the system transmits the images acquired by ESP32-CAM to the cloud server, which extracts the gesture features of the images and identifies the corresponding gestures, then returns the commands corresponding to the gestures to ESP32, responsible for the master control. the ESP32 master accesses the database to obtain the corresponding actions according to the acquired commands and then executes the actions to realize a round of interaction.

Edge computing provides computing resources for devices at the network edge side close to the data source, so as to promote the Quality of Services (QoS) of applications that provide to end devices. In recent years, Kubernetes (k8s) is widely concerned because of the advantages that can easily integrate edge resources and realize edge computing systems. However, due to k8s only having simple dispatching algorithms like first-come-first-serve, it cannot achieve efficient request dispatching in a complex heterogeneous environment with limited resources. In this paper, we design and implement a k8s-oriented edge network orchestrator, aiming at minimizing the completion time of all devices' tasks in an edge environment. At the theoretical level, we model the joint problem of resource allocation and task dispatching as a mixed integer programming problem. We first determine the optimal resource allocation policy with a given task offloading decision profile. then, a decentralized iterative improve dispatching (IID) algorithm is proposed to efficiently calculate the task dispatching decisions. At the system level, we implement a prototype k8s-based edge system that equips the network orchestrator which embeds with the IID algorithm. the orchestrator provides the task-dispatching service through docker containers. Experimental evaluation results verify that the orchestrator has a significant progress compared with the state-of-the-art methods, achieving up 2.21 times on average. © 2022 IEEE.

In a modern electrical system network, congestion can occur due to lack of coordination between supply and demand to increase the burden of current transmission users. the system no longer works inside its warm breaking point. Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) assumes a vital part in the power system to upgrade the exhibition of existing lines as well as to work on the security of the framework. UPFC ought to be found ideally because of high capital venture. In this paper, the optimization of UPFC is gotten by awareness based approach as far as change in active power flow sensitivity in order to improve the framework execution with IEEE 9 bussystem and the validation of the framework is approved by Power World Test Simulator Software 19.0.
