this research aims to provide the best strategic supply chain network design decisions for e-groceries to accommodate growing demand at the minimum cost. the decisions include supply chain network configuration, facility location, and facility capacity at each year in the period of analysis. We use combination approach of k-means clustering and linear programming to cater big dataset of historical demand and number of customers. We use a real case from an Indonesian e-grocery provider. A computer-based mathematical model is built using CPLEX Python API. By optimizing the program, this study concludes the recommendation for the company is to operate facilities at certain capacity level for year 2023–2025, along with the service configuration. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

Game-based fault-tolerant control is one of the critical aspects in modern control system, and it becomes more challenging for large-scale interconnected systems. In this article, an adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) approach is established for solving the Stackelberg game-based fault-tolerant control problem of the interconnected systems. Two critic neural networks are constructed for approximating the solutions of Stackelberg equilibrium, in which a group of adaptive weight updating laws are proposed to ensure the uniform ultimate bounded property of the systems' state as well as the weights of the critic neural networks. the outcomes of the simulations exhibit the efficacy of the designed approach. © 2023 IEEE.

Microgrid (MG) is an important form of networking for achieving controllable access to distributed power sources. the integration and subsequent expansion of microgrids will inevitably pose more severe power imbalance for traditional power grid planning. this paper proposes a bi-level planning framework considering operation model for multi microgrids and distribution network (DN). the cooperation helps reduce operating costs and achieve safety goals over a long time planning period. Firstly, this paper analyses the output model of equipments in the microgrid and uses Monte Carlo method and K-means method to simulate the uncertainty of power characteristics;Secondly, the optimization is modeled as a mixed integer second-order cone programming problem. Finally, the problem is solved using an adaptive genetic algorithm, and simulation verification is conducted within a ten-year planning period in the IEEE-33 bus system. the results verify the effectiveness and stability of the proposed cooperative framework. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem of difficult carbon and electricity coupling and new energy consumption in the new power system, this paper proposes a multiple energy storage optimization operation model considering carbon constraints. Firstly, a mathematical model is established according to the response characteristics of each energy storage, and the corresponding constraints are set;secondly, a carbon trading mechanism for an integrated energy system is constructed by considering the actual carbon emission of a gas turbine;finally, the linear programming problem is solved by a solver with the objective function of minimising the sum of the carbon trading cost and the operation and maintenance cost. the results show that the reasonable allocation of the proportion of each energy storage is conducive to improving the system operation economy, and the carbon emissions are significantly reduced after the introduction of the carbon trading mechanism. © 2024 IEEE.

To meet the requirements of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar target detection and parameter estimation in a multi-target scenario, this study establishes a multi-objective optimization model with the weighted sum of dual mutual information and signal-to-clutter-plus-noise ratio (SCNR) as the criterion function, and proposes a waveform optimization method to meet the given constraints. Firstly, based on the multi-objective optimization model, the maximum marginal allocation (MMA) algorithm is used to obtain the optimal waveform in the frequency domain. then the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) algorithm is used to generate the continuous phase coded signal to approximate the optimal waveform by considering the constant mode constraint and orthogonality constraint with the minimum mean-square error as the criterion function. Finally, the simulation shows that the proposed method can get the time-domain waveforms for different target characteristics, as well as achieve well performance both in multi-target detection and parameter estimation performance. © 2024 SPIE.

In the recent years, QR (Quick Response) codes have become ubiquitous which are used for various applications in domains such as governments, museums, airlines, shopping malls, retail markets, manufacturing, logistics, hospitals, and education institutions. QR codes can embed various types of data such as image, text, URL, e-mail, SMS, Wi-Fi credentials, passwords, payment information, and business cards. In this paper, we propose how QR codes can be used in courses related algorithms and data structures, and programming languages. the main purpose of using QR codes is that, while teaching these courses, students need to focus on information such as program codes which is hard to visualize from far. For example, a typical program includes hundreds of lines of code, and if they are presented in a power-point presentation, it is not easy for students to see variables, operators, letters, and programming constructs. Algorithms also generally include several lines along with symbols, variables, and operators. To make it more visible in their mobile phones, programs and algorithms are embedded in QR codes for students to see them in their mobile devices. Irrespective of some of the limitations, the use of QR codes in programming languages, algorithms, and data structures courses are found to be interactive, highly engaging, and significantly beneficial to positive learning experience. © 2023 IEEE.

Imitation learning method transfers human behavior to the robots or machines. this method aims to allow robots or machines to learn by observing tasks performed by human operators and imitating these tasks, rather than direct programming. ACT as an imitation learning method shows the high capability for automating dexterous manipulation tasks. From the viewpoint of industrial application, pose of the target object will be varied. However, even if only for the initial object pose variation, imitation learning method like ACT usually needs a lot of demonstration data that covers pose variation to train the policy that can generalize for. Collecting large demonstration dataset takes many efforts. this study created an object pick-and-place controller to eliminate pose variation as a preprocess step with YOLOv8, which is a recent object detection technique. the preprocess step automatically moves the object to a specific position and eliminates the pose variation. We show that our system effectiveness on the randomly placed bag opening task that requires both generalization for object pose variation and dexterous bimanual manipulation. the bag opening task was conducted with ACT and preprocess applied ACT methods, and the results were evaluated to examine the effect of the preprocess method to generalization process. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper researches the blended learning technology usage for realization of the "programming Technologies"course included in the IT programme under study in Ural Federal University. Today, blended learning has become not only prospective technology but the real necessity. the question now is not whether to blend or not;it is how to design an effective blend. In this paper, technologies, information platforms used for learning, and concepts underlying the course are under discussion. One of the concepts-cross-cutting technology usage-is discussed in detail. the results of the course accomplished by the final test are presented at the end of the paper. this course implementation in 2020 was a pilot one, and, according to the results, this experiment was recognized as a successful one in terms of the learning effect. Usage of different channels, technologies and teaching methods in combination has proved the effectiveness of blended learning, while the results obtained in each activity (in terms of marks) have balanced each other. © 2022 IEEE.

Students’ computational thinking and programming skills may grow due to collaborative programming. But as the researchers have noted, students frequently do not use metacognition to manage their cognitive activities while collaborating, which negatively affects learning. this study created a metacognition-based collaborative programming (MCP) system to improve students’ performance in collaborative programming. A seven-week study examined how the approach affected students’ performance in programming courses. the 88 middle school students were split into two groups: the experimental group received the metacognition-based collaborative programming approach, and the control group received the conventional computer-supported collaborative programming approach. the results indicated that the metacognitive-based collaborative programming approach enhanced students’ academic scores in programming courses and their computational thinking tendencies. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Experimental teaching is an important part of the C programming language course, which aims to cultivate students’ Computational thinking ability, problem solving ability and programming ability. However, the existing experimental teaching mode of the C programming language course has been criticized mainly for their: 1) it is difficult for teachers to check all students’ programs within a limited time;2) Limited computer room capacity, fixed time, and other factors make it difficult to meet the personalized requirements of students. In this paper, we put forward the construction scheme of experimental teaching of the C programming language course based on the EduCoder platform, which alleviates all the above two problems. the scheme follows the fundamental law of engineering practice ability training and constructs a LDEI practice teaching closed loop of "learning (L), doing (D), evaluation (E) and improvement (I)". through specific cases, this paper elaborates the implementation process of this scheme in the experimental teaching of the C programming language course. Finally, a survey are conducted on 64 students from computer science and technology majors. the survey results show that the designed scheme effectively enhances the students’ Computational thinking ability and programming ability. © 2024, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
