this paper addresses the state feedback control synthesis for the class of nonaffine in input systems using the sum of squares (SOS) programming. Due to the nature of these systems, the SOS control design technique becomes a non-convex problem. In order to circumvent this issue, two input-Affine approximations are proposed, both based on linearization. In order to ensure better approximations, we propose the inclusion of new restrictions, which are inserted into the SOS program. Two examples are given to provide analytical and graphical illustration of the given approaches. It is performed the stability analysis of the open-loop system by estimating its region of attraction (RoA) and their enlargement, achieved with a state feedback controller. © 2020 IEEE.

the organizations such as the online product sales and delivery system increases the number of vehicle movement and thus generate the routing problems for vehicle. In that, some of the products like medical equipment, medicinal products are needs to deliver in the proper time to prevent unexpected problems. Due to increase in the vehicle traffic, this needs to focus on better routing system in the vehicle movement with speed of transport and optimal routing area. this paper analyzed different optimization algorithm along with the hybrid optimization algorithm to solve this problem. there are several optimization algorithms are used to identify the optimal routing path for the vehicle movement based on the basic parameters such as the number of customers or users, number of vehicles that are allocated and the distance that the vehicles can travel. this also focused on the cost efficiency and the reduction of time complexities with relevant other parameters. the proposed hybridization of optimization algorithm involves the selection of best route and the coverage area with minimum number of vehicles and the best fitness value. the overall work was analyzed and tested with the result comparison of other optimization algorithms to represent the performance of Hybrid ACO-GA combination than the other state-of-art methods.

Service robots acting as human assistants are required to have the ability of adjusting their movements to accommodate changes in the interaction. In this paper, a collision-free motion generation framework of manipulators is proposed for physical interaction tasks. First, virtual ellipsoids are introduced to remove the redundant path points generated by the rapidly-exploring random tree algorithm. the motion margin of the end-effector can be ensured at the same time. Second, a reactive replanning strategy is proposed that allows the manipulator to perceive potential contact. A safe path for avoidance is found before further collisions occur. Finally, a joint-space trajectory generator based on quadratic programming is formulated to produce continuous dynamic motions under multiple hardware limits. Experiments demonstrate that the proposed method enables the manipulator to effectively avoid dynamic obstacles online, and that the motion of all joints is within the allowed range.

Operation schedule for microgrids has an important role to manage the electric power supply and demand efficiently. this paper presents a problem formulation and its solution method to obtain a coordinated operation schedule of controllable components in the microgrids. In the problem formulation, uncertainty originated from variable renewable energy sources is introduced. By utilizing characteristics of the formulated problem, dimension of its solution space is reduced, and thus a combined solution method of binary particle swarm optimization and quadratic programming is applicable in the proposed solution method. Validity of the authors' proposal is verified through discussions on numerical results. (C) 2019 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

Sensing the traffic volume in the whole city is a crucial task in smart transportation systems. However, because of the high cost of installation and maintenance of traffic sensors, the coverage of traffic sensors is very low. Due to the influence of various factors such as device failure, network transmission, and bad weather, the traffic state of some road segments with sensors is not observed. In this work, we present a new framework for citywide traffic Volume Inference using traffic sensing data with Missing values (VIM). In VIM, we construct an affinity graph to model feature and spatial similarity of road segments based on spatial and feature information for each time interval, and then use a graph convolution network to learn the embeddings of road segments in each time interval. To capture the strong temporal dependencies, we propose to use a temporal attention network to update the embeddings of road segments. Specifically, we design a data imputation module, which utilizes the periodic data to fill in the missing values on each segment. Furthermore, we also propose a semi-supervised traffic volume objective function to guide the learning of GCN and temporal attention network. Extensive experiments on two real-world datasets in two cities show the effectiveness of the suggested framework in comparison to state-of-the-art baseline approach.

the paper presents shared memory implementation of chaotic RGB LSB steganography technique, the proposed technique involves hiding the secret information into RGB components of the cover image. Chaotic logistic map has been used to generate highly random numbers for enhancing the security of embedded information. Encryption and decryption process is parallelized using OpenMP API in multicore environment, and results show significant speed up and highly scalable results even with large amount of data. © 2020 IEEE.

For simplifying parallel programming, Software Transactional Memory is an important method which improves scalability in multiple cores. Python uses a system clock instead of a global counter. STM in python deals with shared data among parallel threads of locked(as in python) data structure. A Haskell has thread-local journaling for operations on mutable and globally shared objects. In this review paper, we have discussed STM having basic approaches called HTM, STM, and HyTM with version management and synchronization. this paper also discusses previous version work and challenges of STM. © 2020 IEEE.

the PID controller implementation on the industry is an active area of study, however, according to the technique used is possible not having optimal and good performance due to the difficulties in the process identification and parameter tuning of the system since there is no full information of the industrial process. In last years PID auto-tuning methodologies have been developed which let synthesize efficient polynomial controllers because the parameters, generally, are optimal in some sense. In this paper is showed a PID auto-tuning through Extremum Seeking algorithm (ES) in a flow control plant implemented with blocks programming in a programmable logic controller (PLC), this block system acquires input signals obtained by the plant sensors, in this case, a flow sensor, consequently a control signal is sent to the variable frequency drive of the pump system, the objective control is to maintain the flow constantly through the system in the desired reference. In the following section the block diagram of the controlled system is presented, the auto-tuning ES algorithm, the simulation results, and the real-time implementation on the industrial process, finally, some conclusions and final implementation comment considering some future work is developed. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.

Estimating water supply through irrigation canal distribution systems is a crucial process for better water management in the irrigation schemes. this study aimed to develop an approach to predict the discharge delivered to unregulated irrigation canals (such as quaternary canals) from geometric and hydraulic information of regulated section of the system (such as tertiary and others) using machine learning approaches. the prediction performance of four Caret-based Supervised Machine Learning Models, namely;Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MARS), artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Random Forest (RF), and Radial Basis Support Vector Machines (SVM), were developed in the R programming environment, followed by variability assessment among canal outlets at Koga irrigation Scheme. Water delivery performance at quaternary canals showed a significant flow variation among the canal outlets. the comparative study of model prediction results showed identified MARS as the optimal model, both at the training stage (RMSE = 0.074 & R2 = 0.86 with normalized data) and testing stage (RMSE = 3.89 & R2 = 0.85 with rescaled data). Furthermore, the model building process and output equations of MARS were relatively interpretable compared to neuro and tree-based models, such as artificial Neural Network and Random Forest. thus, the MARS model was recommended to estimate the water supply to ungated irrigation canals as a function of flow rate information at gated distributary canal and other field data at lower components of irrigation schemes. © 2022, ICST Institute for Computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

Software Defined Networking (SDN) provides a flexible way to control heterogeneous network resources, which can effectively manage the space and terrestrial network resources. the controller placement problem is important for SDN-based network, and it is an entirely new challenge in SDN-based space-Terrestrial integrated networks (STINs). In this paper, we firstly propose a SDN-based STIN architecture, where integrates the network resources in layers. then, we formulate the dynamic controller placement problem in the proposed architecture as a mixed non-integer linear programming problem and prove its NP-hardness. After that, we propose an efficient dynamic controller placement and adjustment (DCPA) algorithm with the consideration of comprehensive expense. Finally, we construct the SDN-based STIN system through extending NS3 and evaluate our proposed algorithm with related schemes. the results demonstrate that our DCPA outperforms related proposals in terms of average response time and load balancing. © 2020 IEEE.
